I loved it and one scene that surprised me was the scene between Clarke, Niylah and Gaia. I did not see that coming. I never expected Niylah to belong to Wonkru but it looks like she is faithful to Octavia and Wonkru over Clarke.
The Gaia seen was amazing but won’t say much for spoilers. People seem to be in an uproar over Belcho but it’s part of the story, it’s not like he’s gonna drop her the second O disaproves.
I agree, it's realistic that they did it that way because Bellamy has been with Echo for a long time and he wouldn't just drop her the second his sister disapproves. Plus, he hardly recognizes his sister anymore because of how much she has changed. He doesn't like this new character that Octavia has embraced and even though Octavia threatened him about being the enemy of Wonkru, he still stands for his beliefs and won't let go of the one good thing he has created up in the ring. Even though I don't approve of Becho, I still think that it is realistic that they did it this way. I still have hopes for Bellarke and now that Echo is finally gone, Bellamy and Clarke can finally advance their relationship.
I absolutely loved this episode, it was amazing. I love the fact the way all our protagonists (Octavia, Clarke, Bellamy, Echo, Kane, Madi, Niylah, etc) have different interests, and you really cant tell who is on what side. They've done such a good job of giving everyone competing interests this season, which is what they tried and failed to do in the Civil War in Season 3. I also love the fact that I feel sympathy for Diyoza and am unsympathetic to Octavia's motivations (despite loving her as a character) this show is doing a great job.
I feel like Echo and Bellamy are going to stay together. I ship Bellarke 100%, but one of the directors (I think in was Rothenberg, I’m not completely sure) said that Bellarke shippers would never truly be satisfied. I really like Echo in the fifth season. She’s seems to be very remorseful about the things she’s done and it’s shown that she actually does have a heart. I hope she lives. And Madi and Octavia! Yes! I’m so friggin happy! a( Clarke is SUPER hard on Madi. I understand that they need to survive, but she needs to be a kid! and b( Octavia can teach her to fight. Gaia said that she would never force the flame into anyone, so I don’t see what the problem is for a nightblood to be trained. Madi is twelve years old and they are in the middle of a war. No matter how trained she is, I wouldn’t want a twelve year old to lead me into a war, anyway. Also R.I.P. Jaha.
okay i think this episode was awesome ( mostly because memori) but i have 2 problems: the fight between Bellamy and Octavia was soooo unrealistic i know that octavia was hurt and everything. but Octavia has been 6 YEARS under the ground as a LEADER, fighting EVERYDAY and i know Bellamy practiced with Echo but is impossible that he can beat Octavia, and my second problem is that this episode caused a ship war between Becho and Bellarke and i dont really like this type of drama in this fandom...
Well first of all, Octavia is still recovering from her injury, so it's understandable that she wasn't in her best shape. Secondly, 6 years is a lot of time for people to grow and strengthen their skills. Yes, Octavia is a really good fighter, but it doesn't mean others, who've been training over a long period, aren't worthy opponents.
