Sanctum, originally designated Planet Alpha by the Eligius Corporation and US government[1], is an Earth-like world. It is located in the Goldilocks zone of a binary star system, which means it is in the habitable zone and concomitantly orbits two main-sequence stars, indicating high levels of radiation, though its radiation levels are still withstandable by average humans.
Overview
The world has vast amounts of flora, fauna, and native lifeforms.[2] There are Nightbloods[citation needed] as well as aliens living on the world.[3] When the two suns eclipse each other, the sky turns red and it causes psychosis.[2]
History
Before Apocalypse One, Eligius III had been sent to this world. The Eligius Corporation was looking for a source to tap for oil, since Earth's oil reserves had ran dry. The Eligius III crew had their blood altered, i.e. given the Nightblood serum, to better withstand the two suns. According to Eligius IV's records, they never reported back or they did and it was after Apocalypse One. Either way their status is as of yet unknown.
Later, Monty Green, after many years of research, cracked the Eligius III files after 30 years on Eligius IV, he set it to travel there from its orbit around Earth. It took the ship 75 years to reach the world and when it did, Monty and Harper McIntyre’s son Jordan Green woke up from cryosleep as his father set to. He follow his father's instructions and awoke Clarke Griffin and Bellamy Blake. He went on to show his parents' friends many videos and a new world, where they can call home.
