Ryder was a recurring character in the second season of The 100. He was portrayed by Glenn Ennis and debuted "Remember Me".
Early Life[]
Ryder was an original inhabitant of Earth. He was a warrior/bodyguard for Lexa and Clarke Griffin.
Throughout the Series[]
In Remember Me, he is first seen guarding the Grounder and Sky People alliance feast. After Gustus is poisoned, Ryder searches Raven Reyes and finds the poison in her pocket.
In Rubicon, Ryder has been assigned by Commander Lexa to protect Clarke Griffin. He observes Clarke's conversation with Raven Reyes until Clarke orders him to wait outside the room. He begins to draw his sword when Marcus Kane grabs Clarke's arm, so she orders him to stand down. Later, he is seen escorting Clarke into Tondc.
In Bodyguard of Lies, he reassigns Octavia Blake to guard duty instead of the task Indra had assigned to her. Lexa orders him to kill Octavia because she could not trust her. Later, he is seen aiming a bow and arrow towards Octavia's direction. However, Clarke is able to sneak up on him and points a gun at his head to stop him from killing Octavia. Clarke takes him to Lexa at gunpoint and refuses to let him leave her sight until Lexa orders him to stand down from the kill order.
Personality[]
Ryder is a no-nonsense individual, who takes his duty and honor as a warrior very seriously. He is also shown to be very trustworthy, seeing that he is one of Lexa’s close guards, and later entrusted by her to protect Clarke.
Physical Appearance[]
Ryder has long dark brown hair, a long beard (which he grew in between Remember Me and Rubicon), and tattoos on his face. He is very tall with a strong physical presence.
