This Grounder, who was referred to as "Baylis", was a minor character in the fourth season. He was portrayed by actor Bradley Stryker and debuted in "Gimme Shelter".
Early Life[]
He was a Boudalan Grounder. He scavenged for food and items he can trade to feed his family. It is unclear how he got to Becca's Island and how long he has been there. However, since the small boats were seen on the shores of the island, it may imply that he used a small boat to get to the island.
Throughout the Series[]
In Gimme Shelter, he was on Becca's Island, and broke into the mansion gaining the attention of Clarke Griffin, Emori and John Murphy. Emori pretended that this Grounder was "Baylis" who did terrible things to her and Otan in the past. Clarke and Abby decide to use "Baylis" as the person to infect with radiation to test the Nightblood solution. Later, Emori admitted to Murphy that she didn't even know this Grounder, but she lied to ensure she wasn't the one being experimented on.
In God Complex, he dies horribly during the radiation experiment conducted by Doctors Abigail Griffin and Eric Jackson to determine if their new Nightblood serum works. Emori's deception is revealed when the group realizes that he is not Sangedakru as Emori had claimed.
Examining his remains, Jackson determines that an additive to prevent clotting broke down in the radiation and caused his death. By removing the additive, they are able to create the next attempt at Nightblood which Clarke injects herself with rather than forcing Emori to do it.Personality[]
Not much known about his personality, but he wasn't afraid of stealing goods and fighting or even killing someone to steal food and items.

Notes and Trivia[]
- Emori lied, claiming that this man was "Baylis", a man who hurt her and her brother.
- According to Emori, he was a Sangedakru thief, but Luna found stones worn by Boudalan members on this man, revealing him not to be Sangedakru and thus not Baylis.
- Technically, he can be considered a Nightblood, albeit an imperfect one. The addition of a substance meant to prevent clotting caused the chain reaction that ultimately killed him, but his body was stated to be producing the imperfect Nightblood on its own before the testing.
