Octavia and Hope is the relationship between the Octavia Blake and Hope Diyoza. They are portrayed by cast members Marie Avgeropoulos and Shelby Flannery.
Summary[]
The relationship between Octavia and Hope does not debut until at end of Season 6 finale, Octavia see Hope came out of Anomaly, revealed that Octavia knew and met Hope when she went into the Anomaly after Hope’s mother went in there. Hope telling Octavia that “He” have her mother (Diyoza), she apologize to Octavia, and Octavia tell her to be brave and tell “him” it done, then Hope stabs Octavia and disappeared in the Anomaly.
Throughout the Series[]
In The Blood of Sanctum, after Gabriel interacted with the Anomaly Stone using symbols on Octavia's back, the Anomaly began expanding and affecting everything outside, causing a huge green dust storm. When the team comes upstairs, Hope shows up at their tent. She speaks to Octavia like she has known her for some time, telling that she has no choice and her mother is in danger. Octavia seems to understand what it's all about, seems to start remembering what happened to herself in the Anomaly. Hope comes closer and stabs Octavia with a hand-made knife. Octavia whispers to her to be brave and to tell him that the job is done. After Octavia disintegrates into green dust and disappears, Hope falls unconscious.
In From the Ashes, Hope experiences a hallucination of Octavia under the influence of the Red Sun toxin, possibly a memory from when she was younger. Octavia tells Hope that no matter what she hears, she must remain quiet. Octavia promises Hope that "Mommy and Auntie O will come back for you" before backing away and vanishing while continuing to signal Hope to be quiet. Distressed, Hope calls after the hallucination of Octavia.
In The Stranger, Octavia tells Clarke that she would do anything to keep Hope safe, just like Clarke would do anything for her adoptive daughter Madi.Quotes[]
