Abby: I'm glad you're back, John. I was worried.

Murphy: Thanks.

The Four Horsemen

Murphy and Abigail is the relationship between John Murphy and Abigail Griffin. They are portrayed by starring cast members Richard Harmon and Paige Turco, and début in "The 48."

Summary[]

In Season Two, Abby treated Murphy's leg wound and even helped him to escape with several others to seek out Clarke and the missing Delinquents.

In Season Three, the two work together during the final battle with A.L.I.E. to keep Clarke alive so she can use the Flame and pull the kill switch. As the others defend them, Murphy and Abby together keep Ontari and Clarke alive so that Clarke can use Ontari's Nightblood.

In Season Five, when given the chance to escape Shallow Valley, Murphy chooses to go with Kane to rescue Abby rather than joining his friends, defending his decision by pointing out that its Abby he's helping.

In Season Six, Murphy helps Josephine Lightbourne manipulate Abby into creating more Nightblood in exchange for the promise of immortality for himself and Emori. Murphy stops the execution of himself, his friends and Abby by revealing that she can recreate Nightblood using bone marrow transplants. However, this later results in Russell Lightbourne mind wiping Abby to become the new host for Simone Lightbourne, killing her.

In Season Seven, even though Clarke doesn't blame and forgives Murphy for Abby's death, Eric Jackson is shown to blame him. In turn, Murphy carries enormous guilt, believing that while he didn't personally kill her, his decisions since arriving on Sanctum led to the loss of Abby.
