Would you be so calm if it was your daughter's turn?
— Miranda to Russell [src]

Miranda Mason was a recurring character in the sixth season. She was portrayed by Lucia Walters and Kat Ruston and debuts in "Red Sun Rising".

Miranda was a Sanctum resident and one of the Primes. Her last host was Sierra, a Sanctum guard and the widow of Gavin.

Early Life

Miranda was born on Earth. She and two family members went aboard Eligius III to travel to the moon Alpha. They arrived there in 2045 and were original members of Mission Team Alpha.

Her family became three of the Primes and used various royal blood hosts for the next two centuries to be reborn after each death. Miranda was on her seventh host, making her Miranda VIII however, that reign ended when she was killed by Madi. However she has since been resurected in the body of Sierra

Throughout the Series

In The Children of Gabriel, she returns to Sanctum after the red sun and is shocked to see the group from Earth. She immediately grabs Rose and pulls her away.

Later, she rushes to the greenhouses with Jade where Clarke Griffin, Russell Lightbourne and Cillian are. She tells Russell that Rose has been taken by the Children of Gabriel and that they got pass Jade. He assures that it'll be okay and tells her to be calm.

In The Face Behind the Glass, she is seen standing next to Kaylee Lee on the upper balcony of the Palace during the naming day ceremony.

In The Gospel of Josephine, she examined Priya Desai. Priya thanks Miranda for doing so and says that Rose would have made a great Jasmine. They are interupted by Jordan Green, who has brought Priya flowers. Miranda tells her that he is Jordan Green and he was friends with Delilah Workman, the body of which Priya is currently occupying.

In The Old Man and the Anomaly, she enters her room to spend some time with her boyfriend. But, when she comes closer to the bed, she sees that his throat is slit. Without much time to figure out what's going on, Madi stabs her in the back of her neck with knife.

Later, a guard with her body in his hands shouts that the Children of Gabriel are here, and that they killed Miranda. He brings her body into the White Hall, where other Primes say their goodbyes to her.

In Adjustment Protocol, Miranda is resurrected in Sierra's body using the Nightblood Abby created for Russell. Russell introduces the resurrected Miranda, Jasmine and Caleb to John Murphy and Emori. When the Primes prepare to retreat to Eligius IV, Miranda points out that with Priya and the Lee's dead, they have no pilot. However, Simone forces Raven to agree to be their pilot and the Primes, minus Priya and Ryker, depart Sanctum on the Gagarin.

In The Blood of Sanctum, Russell decides that they will take Eligius IV to Beta and the Primes argue over the idea and decide to mind wipe Wonkru to be future hosts for them. Clarke reveals herself to stop the mind wipe and the Masons and Simone chase her down. Clarke threatens to float the group if they don't surrender, causing Simone to turn on the other Primes, claiming to be Abby who survived the mind wipe. However, Clarke sees through it and blows the four Primes out into space, killing them. A devastated Russell watches from the bridge as the bodies of his wife, Caleb, Jasmine and Miranda float away into deep space.

Personality

Miranda had a natural maternal instinct as she's seen being overly protective of Rose as she pull her away from the Earth Group. Miranda was known to be an 'worrywart' at times as she didn't trust outsiders most likely due to Sanctum's hostile interactions The Children of Gabriel since they were an obstacle to getting her family back.

Physical Appearance

Her 8th host was an older woman of African ancestry. She was tall with brown skin and eyes and greying black hair.

Her current, 9th host is of Asian ancestry and has cream colored skin with black hair and black eyes.

Relationships

Kaylee

Kaylee and Miranda seem to have a good relationship. In "The Children of Gabriel" Miranda is relieved when she sees Kaylee alive after the eclipse and is worried when she doesn't see Kaylee's family with her. After learning that Kaylee along with the rest were deleted off their mind drives made Miranda upset as verbally berated The Lightbournes for that action.
