I saw you applied for Update team but you had to wait until season 3 to come out. Well Season 3 just came out and they are now taking applications. Just thought I'd let you know. I would feel bad if you never got to become apart of the update team
Since we last talked about the Enforcers and the teams I wanted to get back at you about that.
It might be a better idea not to stall the applications untill S3, because we will be working a lot during the hiatus. If you're on the team before the next episode, then you can have a trail run, to see if you'll be able to work with it. Then, if you are good with it, we can include you in our hiatus plans.
What would the procedure for those posistions include (I'm not sure which I'm going to apply for yet, even working my way up to a Council Member spot sounds good right now)? I'd relly like to get more involved in the actual running of the wikia and if you could talk me through the process of becoming a member that would be incredible and a great help.
The Enforcers are given rollback rights. Therefore we need to be really sure that you understand the rules of this wiki and we can rely on you to have the proper means to point out to users who break the rules so to say. As you'll see on the Enforcer's page, the edit requirements are not so strict because we feel like being an inforcer has nothing to do with how many edits you do.
For being on the council, you'd have to be really willing to put a lot of effort into the wikia. We're trying to have a diverse team on the council, so you should have a really motivational reason as to why you'd want to be on the council. You would also do well in gathering support. I know it might be a bit awkward to do so, but simply asking people (blogpost, forum...) if they'd think you'd be a good applicant already shows a lot.
Something else that we require for both positions (but mostly The Council) is a Skype. The Admins talk on Skype on a daily basis and it's our way of keeping this place up and running. If you were to join the council we would have a group conversation where any ideas or changes for the wikia could be discussed. As a councilmember you'll be given the chance to voice your opinion, and maybe vote in some matters about changes made in the wiki. If you don't have Skype, it's very easy to make. If you do, you can always PM me in chat so that your skype account remains private from the rest of the wiki.
Overall, the biggest change from the Update Team-application is that these applications need to go directly to an admin. You should post a message on their message wall (in this case, mine) and inform them what position you'd want to apply for and then write down the requirements and the other stuff that I explained above.
I've been away for a while and I was hoping you'd had the time to think all of this over and like, prepare for stuff and what not. Could you please message me back to tell me where you're standing on this?
I am going to apply for both the Enforcer and Council position (if you think I have a good chance at making it). I was also away recently too, I went on vacation for March break, so I have a little bit of catching up to do. I should be able to get the Enforcer application to you by tuesday and the Council one by about friday, though, if that's alright with you.
Hi, I saw you made a page for Kane and Abigail but I was wondering if it should be titled Marcus and Abigail? Marcus is Kane's first name and the characters on the show do refer to him as that. They call him Kane too but wouldn't it make more sense for his first name to be in the title of the page instead of his last name?
