I wanted to check in if you've had found some time to transfer the content from the other pages over to Diana Sydney's Rebellion? Cause it's one of the open projects on the wikia and I'm kinda trying to close up some discussions so that we can move on with some others. No hurry if you can't do it right away tho. It's just that Janus and Amethystkitten both assumed you'd be doing this, so I just came to check in and remind you, if necessary.
Hi doc, good to see you back making head start for S4. And nice and long over due edit on the Ark!
However, atm I undid the two changes pertaining to Bellamy Militia . Personally, I think that militia is more fitting to the impromptu mish mash of civilians with guns Bellamy organized. But mainly because we use the term Militia extensively through wikia i.e. at least on a dozen character pages, have Category:Bellamy's Militia and Bellamy's Militia redirect. So I feel that we need a little more consensus on this one (suggestion forum?), and if passed then I'll help change it across the wiki consistently.
I had a discussion with some other wiki users about the name change and we agreed on Delinquent Guard as it is more consistent with the other guards, and it just sounds better.
Do you recall where was that discussion? Because I just feel that Militia is far more appropriate, they had no offical training ranks or anything, just former cadet taking over Murphy gang and later equipping them with guns. It also served less then a month.
p.s. I know you are fond of various groups and conflict pages, you may wanna check out the new Template:Infobox faction.
I don't recall there ever being a discussion. The move discussion was Thread:48989, but I didn't see any discussion of renaming militia to guard there.
I strongly prefer "militia" over "guard" since the term is much more accurate. We could also use the canon term: "gunners". For the Delinquents, I prefer the section header to be just "Militia" or "Gunners". For other pages, if needed, we can add either "the 100" (non-italics), "delinquents", or "Bellamy's" in front of militia/gunners.
In either case, I think we should revist this decision.

I also strongly prefer "militia" over "guard", which much better describe our impromptu ragtag band of delinquents. I prefer "gunners" as secondary term, because iirc it was introduced only at the battle of the camp, and isn't as inclusive as militia i.e. not everyone were armed with guns, only the gunners in pillbox and maybe walls.
And I agree that if we use a term like "Delinquents guard\militia" we can drop the Delinquents part.

I prefer a single offical term to replace the "Delinquents Guard" redirect. I think that "Bellamy Militia" is more accurate, he continues to be the one with gun through out the series, but I am ok with "Delinquents Militia", which will make finding\linking either.
If we are changing it from a guard to a militia, I prefer "Delinquent's Militia" to "Bellamy's Militia" as it is consistent with all other organisations/guards/armies in the show. Also, Murphy founded it so it would be "Murphy's Militia" really.
The current usage "Delinquent Guard" → "Delinquent Militia".
That is fine by me.
Also, Murphy founded it so it would be "Murphy's Militia" really.
No. Murphy founded his gang, but it was only after Bellamy "recruited" them with his 'help me run things' pitch that they became more.
You can also say that "The 100" was founded by Chancellor Jaha, but while he created the program and sent 100 individuals to Earth, they really didn't came togther as a group until the whatever we want speech ( found the way post Murphy\Charlotte incident laws speech and finally cemented at the battle at the camp )
I still prefer Gunners to Militia since Militia is never used at all in the series whereas they're called Gunners directly.
Btw, I've yet to see the discussion, mentioned several times above, for when the rename to "Delinquent Guard" was agreed upon.
Back during s2 hiatus when there were only three of us regularly updating any of the pages, a lot of decisions were made in comment sections on the actual page it pertained to. Moving, merging, and deleting pages this past season has caused a lot of those comment sections to be lost, hence the reason for the Suggestions Forum being put into use this past season.
Okay, so suggestion board was created in April 2014. Two years later, mid-s3, DrL & Skyzy made three comments on guard page to rename Bellamy's Militia, but then comments were ignored. In August, DrL implemented rename, Bugthe objected, it was claimed rename was agreed upon in this discussion, but it wasn't.
Moving on, as Bugthe pointed out, that term "gunners" wasn't introduced until late s1. It also only applied to those who used guns (hence 'gunners'), not all the fighters/members of the militia/guard/gang/whatever-we're-calling-it-now. Per our current gallery table, only 50% of the members were gunners.
As shown across the wikia, often terms need to be created that weren't used in canon (e.g. A.L.I.E.'s Cult, War Against A.L.I.E., Arkadian Civil War, etc). I don't recall the 100's fighters being called "Guards" and I think militia is a much better descriptor than guard is for the fighters' role. (Though initially, the group was more like a gang, but then it turned into a militia.) I particularly don't like using "Guards" because we have groups that were actually named "Guards" – using "Guards" for the delinquents, gives the impression that the group was equivalent to the others and not just a makeshift unit.
To summarize, we currently have three people okay with "Delinquent Militia" and two okay with "Delinquent Guard".
I've gone ahead and created a thread. Polls aren't good for this type of thing because there are ways to trick wikia & vote multiple times and polls only allow users to select one option (but a user may be okay with multiple terms and preference for one term may not be oppose to all other terms). That's why decisions on Wikipedia and most wiki's aren't done using <poll>'s.
I think they'll have a short war for survival but by the end they'll probably either find a place to hide like in Mount Weather, and/or lose much of the population as they all die of more radiation. But the crew will most likely be very creative in the storyline.
Tribes are when the people a connected by similar things such as religion and culture, but clans are a more closely connected group of practically identical ideals. And also clans tend to be larger than tribes.
I'm going to assume you are asking honestly and not petulantly. I have had to delete numerous comments from you these last few months that have been antagonistic, insulting, and downright hostile to other users. Today's was yet another hostile comment where you told other contributors (specifically me, this time) to shut up. You already know our policies but it might be a good idea for you to reread them again.
I've just been off for a while since Season 3 started in the US and I wanted to avoid spoilers until it started here in the UK. It started a couple weeks ago and I've been looking through the wiki on my phone as my laptop hasn't been working but it is now.
Oh, you're in the UK. Pretty cool. I'm in the US but I have to watch the show online. So, I have to wait a few hours to a whole day before I get to view the episode. I try avoiding spoilers to but with the way the season is going - I'm starting to loss passion for the show. Hopefully, things pick up.
I have read the first two novels, and it is revealed at the end of the second novel that Chancellor Jaha, Wells' dad, once was in love with another woman. That woman is later revealed to be Bellamy's mother. Therefore, the Chancellor and the other woman had a kid, called Bellamy. Wells and Bellamy are half-brothers, sharing a father, but not a mother, and Octavia and Bellamy are half-siblings, sharing a mother, but not a father.
Alright, thanks. That revelation won't happen on the show.
I've seen a few fans on tumblr speculate that Kane might have fathered one or both of the siblings. I doubt that would happen either - but it would be nice for Kane if it did, since he has no family left.
