— Kwame to his fellow Disciples [src] |
Kwame is a recurring character in the seventh season. He is portrayed by Alex Barima and debuted in "The Flock".
He was a Seeker, who later trained to become a member of the Disciples.
He later transcended with the rest of the human race.
Early Life[]
Not much is known about Kwame, only that he was born on Bardo and then became a member of the Disciples. He would gain a high enough ranking amongst the Disciples to be able to lead the Disciples against the first wave of enemies during The Last War.
Throughout the Series[]
In The Flock,
In The Dying of the Light, Kwame is first seen in the woods of Bardo, gearing up with about a few hundred Disciples, that he is in charge of. As the inside room of the Stone wasn't an optimal location, one of the conductors had moved the location of the Temporal Anomaly portal to the oxygen farm of the Disciples HQ. In the midst of preparation, Kwame and the others are caught off guard when the Anomaly opens up and out walks Clarke Griffin and Octavia Blake, who they themselves taken off guard by the new location of the portal, and are arrested promptly after.
In The Last War, he continues to remain on watch with his hundreds of other Disciples in preparation of The Last War. The portal reopens once again, where one man walks out and uses a machine to disable all of their energy weapons for a short period. Shortly after, an army of Wonkru and Eligius Prisoners storm through the portal, but instead of attacking Kwame and the others, they prepare in a battle stance, distanced away from them.
Neither side decides to make the first move, but when Levitt enters the battlefield to try and prevent the battle, he is shot by Sheidheda. Both sides then engage in battle. There's lots of shooting, with both sides taking minor losses. Eventually, Octavia reenters the field and has Wonkru stand down. Sheidheda tries to regain control of the army and orders everyone to attack, but Indra blows him up, causing Kwame and the others to be surprised by these turn of events and stops firing. Wonkru then makes one final plea to the Disciples, that war is not the way, and that this battle is senseless. Wonkru then puts down their weapons, and the Disciples look to Kwame for orders on what to do. Kwame then repeats the Disciples phrase "For all mankind." and he too stands down, along with the other Disciples. Unbeknownst to them, the Judge was observing them the whole time, and this allowed humanity to achieve transcendence.
