Throughout the Series[]
In The Stranger, after being locked up, Jordan tries to talk Hope, who lost her mother. However, Hope, who is upset by the loss of her mother, told Jordan that they're not friends and asks why she would talk to him. Jordan explains that he was raised alone on a spaceship and Hope were raised alone on a planet as they both heard stories of all the people they’re now surrounded by, but they’re not their friends. Hope explains her past story of what happened. After Hope questions Jordan that "Do you still think we're the same?", this suggest that she hated herself for what happened to her mother. Jordan told her that Charmaine died a hero and saved everyone on Bardo. As Jordan tries to explain, Hope, who is still angry at her mother's death after knowing she had killed her, yells at Jordan, saying that "You were not there!", but Jordan calmly manages comfort Hope, saying that her mother did it to save her and that she didn't do it to save her daughter's life, but she did it to save her soul. After hearing his words, Hope begins to break down and cry, with Jordan hugging her to calm her down.
