The Shallow Valley Clan is also known as Louwoda Kliron Kru. Their territory, like the clan, is called Shallow Valley, and includes the Virginia town Shenandoah.[1] This is the clan Madi is from.[2] After the Final Conclave, Louwoda Kliron Kru was merged with the other clans into Wonkru. During the Second Nuclear Apocalypse, the airborne radiation killed every member of the Louwoda Kliron Kru in Shallow Valley, leaving Madi as the sole survivor, due to her Nightblood. The valley, however, survived the death wave, leaving it as the only habitable land on Earth, before its destruction, during the Damocles Event. During the aftermath of the death wave, when Clarke Griffin found the valley, she enters the clan's village, where she finds all of the Louwoda Kliron Kru members dead from radiation exposure. She also finds Madi alone in the valley. Years after the death wave, Tarik and Karina wanted to go back to their home in Shallow Valley and plans to defect from Wonkru. However, they were shot during an attempt to flee.

Louwoda Kliron Kru's main home is in Shallow Valley, in which the clan got its name. The people of this clan tend to wear reds and browns, they decorate their villages with colorful cloth and weaves wrapped around trees.

The Louwoda Kliron Kru speak the native Grounder language, Trigedasleng. The clan members also speak American English, Gonasleng. This makes the Louwoda Kliron Kru members bilingual.
