“ | Gina was real. She always saw the light... even here. She deserved better. | ” |
— Bellamy about Gina [src] |
Gina Martin was a minor character in the third season. She was portrayed by Leah Gibson and debuted in Wanheda (Part 1).
Gina was one of the residents of Arkadia and went on supply runs to Mount Weather. Gina was Bellamy's girlfriend and brought him a present from her last supply run. She appeared to be on friendly terms with Raven. In Ye Who Enter Here, Gina was killed by an assassin from the Ice Nation, while trying to help Raven and Sinclair at Mount Weather.
Early Life[]
Not much is known about Gina's early life except that she was born on the Ark, and knew of Bellamy from there.
Throughout the Series[]
In Wanheda (Part 1), Gina is coming back from her supply run from Mount Weather. She brings her boyfriend, Bellamy, The Iliad as a gift because she knows his mother used to read him Greek mythology when he was younger. Later, she is seen with Raven while Macallan tries to steal a bracelet. Gina suggests Macallan be floated.
In Ye Who Enter Here, Bellamy, Raven, Gina, and Octavia arrive at Mount Weather and enter the dining room. Sinclair arrives and tells Raven to get working on the electrical problems. Later, as the lights are flickering on and off, Raven and Gina make their way with Sinclair to the mess hall, having been called there in an emergency. In the mess hall, as Pike and Bellamy question Echo, other Farm Station members are grabbing weapons and arming themselves. Sinclair and Pike get into an argument about using the missiles in Mount Weather. Raven says she might be able to help get the launch codes. Sinclair, Raven, and Gina begin digging through the computer files in the Mount Weather Command Center as they look for the codes to the missiles. Gina suggests that Dante Wallace might have written down the passcodes and leaves to check the President's office for the codes.
Later, Gina still has not found the launch codes written down anywhere in Dante's office. She radios Raven that she has not found anything in the president's office as the Ice Nation assassin arrives behind her and stabs her, mortally wounding her. Raven keeps trying to reach Gina as the assassin clears off the president's desk and triggers a monitor to access the program for Mount Weather's self-destruct feature. He exposes a set of numbers written on his forearm and punches them in, setting it to go off in one minute and leaves. Gina reaches the radio and tells Raven about the self-destruct and the assassin. Raven and Sinclair chase after the assassin as he runs out the side door of the Mountain and kill him. Sinclair gets the numbers as Raven tries to reach Gina so she can stop the self-destruct, but Gina is not responding. Gina is dead, the countdown reaching zero reflects off Gina's eye and Mount Weather explodes, throwing Raven and Sinclair back and killing all of the Farm Station survivors who were inside.
