Earthkru is the remnant of the human race, plus a dog, after the majority of humanity achieved transcendence.
All surviving humans, except Clarke Griffin, were able to transcend in "The Last War". Clarke was not permitted to transcend due to her killing Bill Cadogan during the test. Thirteen of her friends chose not to transcend so Clarke would not remain alone. Because of their decision, they will be unable to transcend later, instead death will be their end. Also, because the human race transcended, the members of Earthkru can not have children and therefore are the last humans to ever live on the mortal plane of existence.

Notes and Trivia
- Earthkru is a fan-made term and has also been used by fans to refer to various groups. It's been in use since at least 2016,[1] though more frequently used since 2019 to refer to the combined group (consisting of Sky People, Grounders, and Eligius Prisoners) that came from Earth to Sanctum aboard Eligius IV.
- According to Jason Rothenberg, Bellamy Blake was originally meant to be a part of Earthkru, but due to rewrites to accommodate the actor, he was killed off prematurely.[2]
