Calliope "Callie" Cadogan, also known as Kalliope Pramfleimkepa in Trigedasleng, was a minor character in the seventh season. She was portrayed by Iola Evans and debuted in "Anaconda".
Callie was a college student until she dropped out to join a protest movement. She survived the Nuclear Apocalypse by taking shelter in the Second Dawn Bunker with her father, Bill Cadogan's cult. She became close friends with Becca Franko during the latter's short time in the bunker, and later became the first Flamekeeper after Becca begged her to protect the Flame and to find it a worthy bearer. Two years after the apocalypse, Callie defied her father and led a group of Nightbloods out of the bunker to reclaim the ground, thus giving rise to the Grounders. She is also the creator of the Grounder language, Trigedasleng.
Despite no indication that Callie was ever a Commander as well as the Flame's destruction, her father was still hopeful that her consciousness had been saved in the Flame. Later, when Bill entered the final test to determine the fate of the human race, the Judge took on the form of Callie because she was his greatest teacher, the source of his greatest failure, and his greatest love.
Early life[]
She was born on Earth, in Baltimore, Maryland, USA to Grace and Bill Cadogan.
In 2042, Bill took Callie fishing on a pier on the ocean. Callie jumped off the pier into the water, despite her father asking her not to.
She and her mother, at one point, left the Second Dawn. She attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, but dropped out to join an environmentalist group known as Tree Crew.
Throughout the Series[]
In Thirteen, Callie is one of the people to greet Becca Franko when she arrives on Earth from Polaris in an escape pod.
In Anaconda, via flashbacks, she is seen over the course of two years starting on the day of the Nuclear Apocalypse.
In A Little Sacrifice, Niylah tells Bill Cadogan that the Grounders remember Callie as strong and brave to the point that legend has it that even Callie's enemies wept over her loss when she died. Cadogan starts to ask what her title means, but changes his mind.
In Etherea, Bellamy Blake finds a picture of the Cadogan family in a cave on Etherea and takes it with him.
In The Stranger, Cadogan tells Bellamy that he hasn't seen Reese since he went looking for Callie and the Flame and that he thinks that Callie killed her brother but he has no way of knowing for sure. Bellamy suggests that if they can repair the Flame and if Callie really is inside, then he can find out that way.
In Blood Giant, one of Madi's drawings is of Callie.
In The Dying of the Light, Levitt finds Becca's memory of Callie stating that she is putting her trust into the scientist in Madi's mind. However, due to Levitt only recovering a fragment of the memory, it stops and Cadogan demands that he get it back so that Cadogan can see his daughter again.
In The Last War, the Judge takes on the form of Callie when Cadogan begins the test.Personality[]
Callie Cadogan is a smart, headstrong young woman. She does not follow her father's instructions because she does not share his views but with Becca, who she has admired for years, she trusts her quickly. Callie's intelligence can be seen in the fact that she studied Latin at the age of 10 to create her own language and understood much of Becca's science despite Becca being a larger-than-life genius. According to the Judge and her father she doesn't listen, taking after her mother.

Becca Franko[]
Before the apocalypse, Callie spent her whole life admiring Becca, even going so far as dressing up as the genius for Halloween. When they met for the first time two years after the end of the world, Becca quickly trusted Callie, letting the young woman witness her saving Tristan from the radiation by giving him the Nightblood serum. Becca recognized Callie's intellect and potential during their conversations in Cadogan's lab and later, when she knew she was going to be killed, entrusted her with taking care of the Flame, telling her the Latin phrase she needed to control it, thereby making Callie the first Fleimkepa.
Bill Cadogan[]
Callie's relationship with her father is strained. At the beginning of Anaconda, she lives with her mother while her brother Reese is training with their father. Callie does not share her father's believes and does not agree with his methods. Like her mother but unlike her brother, Callie sees the dangerous potential of her father's narcisism combined with his people's worship for him. Despite their bad relationship, Bill has love in his eyes when asking Clarke if his daughter's mind is in the flame. When Cadogan goes to take Judge's final test, Judge appears to him as Callie and cites her as his greatest teacher, greatest failure and greatest love.
Reese Cadogan[]
Callie and her brother have a strained relationship as he follows their father while she believes him to be a dangerous narcisist. Still, they have an underlying bond of siblings as shown when Reese tells the other Second Dawn soldiers to stand down so the siblings can fight out the disagreement of their factions like they used to in their basement as children. Callie seemingly breaks this bond when she shoots her brother in the arm to weaken him. However, she then succeeds to give him the nightblood serum, offering him the chance to follow her instead of their father.
August[]
Callie and August first meet when they both enter the Second Dawn Bunker, as he is trying to escape to reach his girlfriend, who was left outside. They later meet again and attempt to make a plan to open the bunker door and let the people who were still alive out there in. While they are talking, they realize they were both members of Tree Crew. They again work together in the fight for Becca, to have everyone take the Nightblood serum, which would allow them to walk on earth and become what we know as the Grounders. They end up completing this, although not everyone from the bunker joins them, they take the people they have, and become the start to the grounders.
