Daniel Lee was a minor character in the sixth season.

He is one of Primes and member of the Lee family. He was Kaylee Lee's brother and Zev's boyfriend.

In "Memento Mori", Simone Lightbourne wipes the Lee family's Mind Drives, permanently killing them.

Early Life[]

Daniel was born on Earth to a Chinese family. His family consisted of his father, Victor, mother, Faye, and sister, Kaylee, all four of whom were original Mission Team Alpha members who arrived on Alpha in 2045.

Throughout the Series[]

In Red Sun Rising, Daniel and his family are the first Primes seen as they steal the Gagarin to escape from Sanctum because the Lee's were worried that Russell Lightbourne would find out that Kaylee killed Josephine. After flying the Gagarin into the docking bay on Eligius IV, he and his family throw knockout gas canisters into the ship's corridors and lock Wonkru and Niylah in the mess hall. He and his dad investigate the cryo room where Charmaine Diyoza was awakened. She shoots and kills him and Victor. His mother is later shot by Madi.

In The Children of Gabriel, Daniel and his parents' host bodies were decapitated by the Children of Gabriel, who chanted "Death to Primes", near the Gagarin.

In Memento Mori, Simone Lightbourne wipes the Lee family's Mind Drives, permanently killing them.

In The Blood of Sanctum, when Murphy pretends to be Daniel reborn, a man named Zev comes up and kisses him, revealing that he had a relationship with Daniel in his last host. Murphy is later forced to continue his ruse as Daniel to save innocent people from the Adjustors because unlike his sister, Daniel believed in the Adjustment Protocol making Murphy the only one capable of creating a believable ruse.

In From the Ashes, people continue to think that John Murphy is Daniel. Disgusted, guilt-ridden and grief-stricken, Murphy refuses to keep up the pretense, but Raven Reyes tells Murphy and Emori that they need to continue pretending to be Primes. Sanctum is a powder keg and if the people still believe that Murphy and Emori are Daniel and Kaylee, it may still do them some good. However, Murphy refuses. However, the two later use their guise as Daniel and Kaylee to diffuse a near-riot. After Murphy finds Emori's actions hot, he is reminded that Daniel and Kaylee were siblings.

In Welcome to Bardo, Murphy is enlisted to pose as Daniel again to the Faithful in an attempt to get them to stand down. However, when Murphy tries to rescue threatened children, Daniel's boyfriend Zev realizes that he is not Daniel and the Faithful see through Murphy's deception. Murphy is nearly burned to death, but Sheidheda, still posing as Russell Lightbourne, intervenes, claiming that Murphy and Emori really are Daniel and Kaylee and that "Daniel" is like a son to him, having saved Sheidheda's life with a blood transfusion after he was shot.

In The Queen's Gambit, when Emori plans a ceremony to reunite the Children of Gabriel with their parents, something that Kaylee had always dreamed of accomplishing, she reveals to Murphy that it was something that Daniel had also supported. Emori needs Murphy's presence for the people who favor Daniel. Sheidheda later admits to delaying Murphy with a chess game as Emori needs "Daniel's" support to win over the true fanatics with her plan to reunite the Children of Gabriel with their families.

In The Flock, Nikki and Nelson force Murphy and Emori to admit the truth that they are not Daniel and Kaylee Lee. In addition, Emori admits that the Lees are dead.
