Commander Cole McAdams was a minor character in the third season. He was portrayed by Roger Cross and debuted in "Thirteen".
Throughout the Series[]
In Thirteen, Cole McAdams was the Commander of Polaris. He appeared in a series of flashbacks from 2052 and 2054.

Cole was a tall black male with a muscular built. He had short black hair and dark brown eyes.

- He is named after writer/producer Heidi Cole McAdams.[2][3]
- Sarah, Cole's daughter, is voiced by Jason Rothenberg's daughter.[4]
- In the script, he was described as "a Matt Damon type."[1]
- Becca was wearing his spacesuit, which had a label with the word "Commander" on it, when she descended to Earth. "Commander" became the title of the Grounders' leader and Becca is remembered as the "First Commander" in a posthumous recognition.
