— Brell [src] |
Brell is a recurring character in the fifth season. She is portrayed by Barbara Beall and debuted in "Red Queen".
Brell was a woman that survived the Second Nuclear Apocalypse inside the Second Dawn Bunker along with the rest of Wonkru. She was the Sangedakru delegate.
She was initially loyal to Octavia, but when Octavia destroyed the hydrofarm, Brell went against her and becomes more closely aligned to the true Commander.
She later escapes with Wonkru, Spacekru and the Eligius Prisoners to Eligius IV from the Damocles Event.
Early Life[]
She was born on Earth as a member of Sangedakru. She is also a delegate for her clan.
Throughout the Series[]
In Red Queen, she attended a meeting of the Wonkru delegates, Indra, Marcus Kane and Octavia Blake. She accused a Delfikru member of stealing blankets.
In How We Get to Peace, she is seen at the end around the table along with Octavia and Nathan Miller.
In Sic Semper Tyrannis, when Miller tries to take control of Wonkru, she says Blodreina's succession should be given to the delegates of the Council. A man tells her that the old clans don't exist anymore but she answers he is only Wonkru because their enemies fell from the sky during his fight in the arena with Kane. They start to fight but Miller stops them. At the end of the episode, she watches Octavia saying Madi chose to escape with Clarke Griffin so she is not their leader but rather another enemy of Wonkru, so are Indra, Gaia and Bellamy Blake, who were arrested.
In The Warriors Will, she argues with Nathan Miller and Octavia over Wonkru and them not wanting to march. She then becomes a part of Octavia's close guard and protects her. As she and Octavia watch Indra, Gaia, and Bellamy fight in the arena, Monty and Harper interrupt, revealing that the hydrofarm is working again. Brell asks Octavia if it's true. When Octavia does not answer, Wonkru riot and chant "Bloderina no more!" Octavia sneaks away and burns down the hydrofarm in retaliation. Brell and the others run in too late to stop the fire and they watch in shock. Later, as Wonkru marches out of Polis to go to Shallow Valley, Indra tells Gaia to "Go, I'll be right behind you." Brell steps forward to say "And so will we." She gestures to the crowd and everyone begins to move.
In The Dark Year, she marches toward the valley. She attends a meeting with Bellamy, Indra, Nathan and Octavia inside a tent as Bellamy goes over the battle plans. Brell says "I'll tell my people" and Nathan gets annoyed and says "Your people?".
In Damocles (Part 1), when Wonkru are ambushed by the Eligius prisoners, Brell and the remaining Wonkru retreats back to the wastelands. After Wonkru have retreated to the wastelands, Miller says that Wonkru must go back and rescue Bellamy and Octavia, who are trapped in the gorge with Indra and Gaia, but Brell blames them for leading them to a death trap. Miller and Brell almost get into a fight, but Monty stops them. As Miller still wants to rescue Bellamy and Octavia, Brell refuses to go back into more bloodshed.
In Damocles (Part 2), after John Murphy, Emori, Echo, Madi, Indra, Gaia, Bellamy and Octavia, arrive at Wonkru's camp in the wasteland, Madi comes out of the Rover, and Brell gets surprised when she sees Madi as the Commander trying to help Wonkru. When Octavia approaches Madi with a sword, Brell holds a gunpoint at her to protect Madi, but instead Octavia sticks the sword to the ground and bows before Madi. Brell, admiring Madi as the new Commander, also bows to her, along with all of the Wonkru members. The next day, Brell tells the group that the Commander's army is ready to battle. As Madi's plan against the prisoners works, she begins to lead a charge as Brell and the other Wonkru members launch an attack against the prisoners. After escaping the Damocles Event, Brell was put in cryosleep aboard the Eligius IV.

- She was either killed during the conflicts between Wonkru, the Eligius Prisoners and the Children of Gabriel, when Wonkru was taken over by Sheidheda, or during the battle between Wonkru and the Disciples. If she survived all of those, then she would have achieved transcendence with the rest of humanity.
