What did they leave behind in space ? With the discovery of a new rocket, you now have a way of getting into space, so why not bring down some pieces of the space station to live in if the nightblood solution doesn't pan out.
All that is left in space (as far as the Ark is concerned) is Earth Monitoring Station, which Jaha left at the beginning of season 2. I'm not sure what kind of resources it has left on board, or how much of those resources the rocket could bring back down. All I know about what is still up there is that the Arks computer systems are there (assuming they can still power on), there is enough life support to last one person a week or two, and there may still be nuclear missiles on board. I'm not sure if there is any way to safely de-orbit Earth Monitoring, and bring it to Earth in such a way that it would still be livable on the ground.
It is looking like nightblood is the only solution that will certainly work at the moment... of course with Illian blowing up all the fuel on Alpha station (which Raven needed for the rocket), I'm not sure how she will get to space... but she's Raven, she'll think of something :)
FYI just because they have rocket, doesn't mean they can lasso in whatever there is in space and bring it back to earth with a Yee-Haw!
If there are nuclear weapons in space, that could be a solution to the burning reactors. A direct hit on the reactors would put the fires out. As for rocket fuel, why not make your own. Where did Illian get his liquid fuel to burn the ark ? Was it kerosene, which can be used to make rocket fuel. All you need now is liquid oxygen = water + eletricity + a bit of tek (Raven) ,and youre in space. LOL
Ilian did not blow up the fuel, so it's still going to Raven. From this episode we learned that they buried the hydrazine outside of Arkadia (see the guard's map). Also, as we learned in the first season, hydrazine is extremely powerful. If Ilian managed to blow up the barrels of hydrazine that Arkadia had buried, then no one in Arkadia would have survived. Also, if you watched the promo for the next episode (and if you haven't, stop reading now), we know that they have ten barrels of hydrazine which they are transporting to Raven.
I am not up to date on whats going on, but nukes to put out fires doesn't sound right.. you can use explosives to put out fires, and I heard the USSR used a nuke as crude method to put out an oil well, however, a melting nuclear reactors is nothing a like and nuking a reaction will only further breach containment and spread radioactive material...

This is how it's going to work. The reactors are burning and pumping radiation into the atmosphere bcause their fuel is hot and is contained in one location. A blast would disperse the fuel and put the fire out, this would radiate the area around the reactor. Since most of the burning reactors are in europa and asia, it would not be a big problem for north america.
Did the 100+ nuclear reactors in North America magically disappeared?
Someone on reddit mention that the show reactors are some sort of supper next gen reactors that suppose to be able operate for 100 years independently. (and then in stead of shutting down they all go boom at the same time ..)
Although I don't know if that is true and where these super reactors will be located, only that ALIE calculated that they would pose a danger to our friends.
Reactors use nuclear "fuel" to sustained nuclear chain reaction, to protect the environment they are encased in containment structures, shit happen when for whatever reason containment fail. For example in Fukashima coolant system failed, thus the reactor overheated and underwent a meltdown..
The only scenarios in which fire involved is if
Anyway I don't know what will happen, but nuke shit up is rarely the solution ;) and weather system to spread radiation far and wide e.g. Fukashima radiation reached USA coast and Chernobil reached the whole of europe.. and those suppose to be super reactors..
In episode 3.16 ,ALIE said that there are over a dozen at risk reactors , with 7 of then already burning,so we are not talking about a huge number. When ALIE showed Clarke the burning reactors fron space, they were all oversease, not North America, where the clans are. So it makes sense to bomb the 7 damaged burning reactor to put the fires out. This will make those areas uninhabitable and yes, radiation will reach north america but not leathal doses.
