Haha, I'm on board with that hashtag.
But I'm wondering... Did anyone really think Octavia was dead? I didn't. In fact I was talking to my friend about how they shot the fight scene and they had to ask me if I had seen the end of it and I said "5 minutes ago" and they wondered why I didn't freak out. But idk.
I think I knew the minute they showed Bellamy's scream in the trailer, I knew something would happen to O. But I also knew that if the show was going to kill off Octavia, it wouldn't be a single-messenger death? She's too big of a character to die without any of the main characters there to see it happen. So I figured from there on Bellamy would only THINK she was dead. Still, that performance from Bob though....

Agreed, Bobs acting was spot on. I was unsure about Octavia being dead. My initial reaction was confusion mixed with denial. I though 'nah, she can make it out of that'... and she did. I'm far more concerned that she will get stuck with one of those 'survived just long enough to relay a message' kind of deaths. To which I say... If Octavia Dies We Riot! :)
Octavia has become too much of a boss to just die like that though. I would be far more satisfied with a good revenge scene... a very action packed and epic one.
I mean, I knew she wasn't dead because we'd seen more scenes of her's in the trailer. Plus, I can't imagine the show actually killing Octavia we just saw what just thinking she's dead did to poor Bellamy.
Also Bob's acting was incredible and spot on. Just absolutely gutting.
It's about time we got back to conflict with the grounders, I was loosing interest in the show. This is the best episode of the season. All we need now is a strong love story to bring viewers back.
Monty is INFURIATING. It sure as hell wasn't easy for Clarke to make that list. Of course she's still considering it as an alternative while they are looking for more suitable options, but she's doing the best she can do right now. Not him trying to stir things up for the sake of being truthful.
Like he's almost on Jasper level of unbearableness rn.
I thought this episode was enjoyable. Though, I'm disappointed Nyko died so early, and I would have rather them kept him around awhile and give us some backstory on how he and Luna met (I'm assuming through Lincoln, but it would still be nice to know for sure).
Do you think there is a group of survivors on the island? I'd like it if there was another society out there and not just the Grounders and Sky People.
Why is Kane still the leader ? He's a terrible negotatior. He failed to prevent a challange to the king, Octavia had to step in and assassinate the challanger. He fails again in not getting more time from king Roan to find a radiation cure and leading to a war. His biggest failure was allowing Pike to be elected chancellor.
As the guy who's been shouting 'Kane for Chancellor' from the rooftops since the show started... I have to interject :)
Kane is a well respected leader, due inpart to his lead from the front attitude, selfless desire to save Arkadia and its people, and his openmindedness when it comes to Clarke, Bellamy, and the group. Kane is a strong leader, but not overly agressive to the point of starting a war for no reason.
He is also far from a terrible negotiator, as he managed to very quikly earn the respect of Indra and Lexa after arrival on the ground, something few can claim. He is a campaigner, and knows how to sway opinion when it counts.
In saying all that, Kane cannot be expected to just talk the Ice Nation (who are known for brutality) into being calm and peaceful... That would be like asking Saudi Arabia, a country known for supporting radical islamic terrorists, to just please help fund a new christian crusade... It'll never happen, and stalling is really the only option you're left with. War was going to happen no matter who was leader, the question was merely when. I would also note, Roan was not angry with Kane until he was informed, through un-diplomatic means, of the decision to fortify Arkadia against radiation, at which point Kane could do nothing to talk him down... especially not with Echo standing there egging Roan on, and with the whole Coalition expecting him to be agressive.
BTW: Allowing Pike to be elected... what else is there to do, deny the results and declare the Arkadian Reich? Its Democracy. Kane ultimately formed and led the resistance against Pike, but only when things had clearly gotten to the point where that was neccessary.
Just think, Abby could be Chancellor again lol
I couldn't finish this post without adding... Horray '''Kane is Chancellor '''Again :)
I have just looked up at my previous comment... and made the realization that I Really don't know how to shut up about arkadian politics, lol

"Alie Guarded"- The lab our heroes found
Yes. The famous lab I had already envisioned even before the trailer of this season came out. Extremely conveniently placed if you'd ask me.
I mean. Okay if it was the facility where ALIE made her chips, but it seemed more like a genetics lab. So I'm wondering who's gonna get the sudden geneticist mental upgrade to know how to make possible for everyone to have night blood. If Raven gets another mental upgrade then this show as really gone off the rails.
Also in a way this is all smoke and mirrors. If Luna herself that ate radioactive fish got extremely sick, imagine living in a completely radioactive environment. No amount of night blood can save them. Not in a credible way.
So unless there's a bunker hidden in that same island, that can support thousands of people, I'd say that we're watching the final season of The 100. And even then, if there was such a bunker, all the possible next seasons would happen inside that bunker. Which would severely change what this show is all about.
