Who we are and who we need to be to survive are two very different things.
— Bellamy Blake [src]

Bellamy Blake was a major character in the first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh seasons. He was portrayed by starring cast member Bob Morley and debuted in the series premiere.

On The Ark, Bellamy was manipulated into attempting to assassinate Chancellor Jaha at the behest of his political enemies, an action he later showed remorse for. He did this because he was promised a position on the dropship that would be sent to Earth with his younger sister Octavia, as he believed it was his duty to protect her. Bellamy quickly established himself as the Delinquents' leader once the dropship landed on Earth, Although this leadership would be challenged by the likes of Clarke Griffin.

At first, Bellamy and Clarke struggled with each other for leadership of the Delinquents. Bellamy was sick of always being controlled and following strict rules his whole life, so he took his newfound freedom as a chance to do whatever the hell he wanted. Clarke, on the other hand, wanted some order and rules, leading to disagreements between the two. Eventually Bellamy and Clarke settled as co-leaders after the murder of Wells Jaha and Charlotte's suicide. This made Bellamy finally realize Clarke's point of there needing to be some sense of order. Throughout his time leading the delinquents, Bellamy grew a deep disliking of the Grounders and was ready to fight them head on. During the ongoing war with the Grounders, Bellamy proved to be a very skilled fighter.

In season 2, After most of the Delinquents were captured by Mount Weather, Bellamy worked tirelessly to find them. The Mountain Men were not immune to the radiation outside. The only reason he and the Sky People were immune was thanks to their bodies adapting to solar radiation. The Mountain Men wanted to kill the Delinquents they'd captured so they could extract their bone marrow and inject it in themselves, thus making them immune to the radiation. Eventually Bellamy infiltrated Mount Weather with the outside help of Clarke and the Grounders, working closely with Maya Vie to keep the Delinquents safe and help them escape the Mountain Men. Together Clarke and Bellamy made the difficult choice to irradiate Mount Weather in order to save their people. Afterwards, when Clarke left everyone to be on her own, unable to come to terms with her actions, Bellamy remained behind in the newly-formed Camp Jaha.

Bellamy would later become a guard at the newly renamed Arkadia. After previous hostilities with the Grounders, the harsh restrictions placed on Arkadia, as well as the death of his girlfriend Gina Martin by Azgeda, Bellamy aligned himself with Charles Pike, who also holds a negative view on the Grounders. When an army of 300 Trikru warriors were sent to protect Arkadia from Azgeda, Pike persuaded Bellamy to steal guns from the armoury to wipe out the Trikru army, viewing them as a threat. Pike then lead their group out to the Trikru army with Bellamy and shot almost every warrior dead. After seeing how far Pike was willing to go and at the prospect of the deaths of his friends, Bellamy decided to warn Octavia that Pike was going kill Lincoln, Octavia's lover. Despite his attempt to stop it, Bellamy was unable to prevent Lincoln's execution, whose death drove a deep rift in their relationship. Octavia's hatred for him hurt Bellamy deeply. Later, he helped defeat A.L.I.E. and her army of chipped soldiers, protecting Clarke while her mind was in the City of Light.

Following Pike's death and A.L.I.E.'s defeat, Bellamy returned with the Sky People back to Arkadia, helping to deal with the fallout of past events and a looming Second Nuclear Apocalypse. He helped repair Alpha Station to shelter the Sky People from the coming radiation, as well as defending from Azgeda who now have control of Polis. Under the command of King Roan, Azgeda took Bellamy and held him captive. During this time Bellamy learned of his sister's supposed death at the hands of Echo, which "broke" him. After Clarke and Roan struck a deal to share Arkadia with Azgeda, Bellamy and the others were set free. He returned to Arkadia in time to witness Alpha Station burn at the hand of Ilian. Bellamy learns that Octavia had not died and is greatly relieved and happy, but she is still unwilling to forgive him.

Not long after the discovery of the Second Dawn Bunker, Bellamy's relationship with Octavia has been restored, but this was cut short when Bellamy and others leave to rescue Raven Reyes. Without time to return to the bunker, they decide to make an attempt to go back into space, but were forced to leave Clarke behind. Six year later, he and his group returns to Earth and finds Clarke alive. After reopening the bunker, Bellamy and others spend most of their time attempting to avoid a war between Wonkru and the Eligius prisoners, which leads Bellamy to poison Octavia, briefly leaving her in a coma. After Paxton McCreary launches the Damocles bomb and destroys the valley, Bellamy joins the others on Eligius IV and goes into cryosleep. He and Clarke are awoken 125 years later by Jordan Green, who shows them that Monty and Harper found another habitable world for them to live on.

Bellamy leads the expedition onto Alpha, and they encounter and befriend the Primes who allow them to stay. After Clarke is used as a host for Josephine Lightbourne and seemingly killed, Bellamy swears vengeance against the Primes. When he realizes that Clarke is still alive, Bellamy takes her to Gabriel Santiago who removes Josephine's Mind Drive, killing her and giving back Clarke control of her body. Alongside the Children of Gabriel, Bellamy invades Sanctum, exposing the Primes as "false gods", saving his people and the Sanctumites. He later witnesses Octavia being injected by Hope Diyoza and taken away through the Temporal Anomaly, causing Bellamy to think that Octavia was stabbed.

Bellamy is later taken through the Anomaly himself by the Disciples to the planet Bardo where he escaped and attempted to rescue his sister. However, Bellamy was apparently killed in an explosion, devastating his friends. In reality, Bellamy was sent to the planet Etherea with the Disciple Conductor Doucette. Bellamy's experiences on Etherea during the two months he spends trying to reach the Anomaly causes him to convert to the Disciple cause and to betray his friends after returning to Bardo, thus becoming a traitor to Wonkru. With Bellamy now fanatically loyal to the Disciples, Clarke reluctantly kills her best friend to protect her daughter. After humanity passes the Judge's test, Bellamy is proven to have been right about transcendence, although his own death prevents him from being able to transcend.

Early Life[]

Young bellamy

Young Bellamy keeping newborn Octavia quiet.

Aurora Blake, mother, was forced to keep her second pregnancy a secret because of the one-child law on the Ark. A young Bellamy watched as his mother gave birth to his sister and helped to keep her quiet after the birth. Once the child was born, Aurora told Bellamy to name her. He had learned about the Roman emperor, Augustus, and named his sister after the emperor's sister, Octavia. Aurora told Bellamy that Octavia was his responsibility. He tells baby Octavia that he loves her very much and promises to keep her safe, no matter what may happen.

Since Octavia was an illegal second child, she had to be kept secret from everyone or else their mother would be killed for her crime. Octavia was kept hidden in their room, never able to venture out. Bellamy would read her stories and play with her, and tell her about the Ark. Their mother would also read them mythology, which Octavia and Bellamy loved. In order to find out about the surprise inspections ahead of time, Aurora was sleeping with an Ark Guard that she and Bellamy resented, and she was also trying to get Bellamy a position on the guard. During these inspections, Octavia was forced to hide under the floorboards and wait quietly until they were done. Octavia hated doing this so Bellamy told her to tell herself, "I am not afraid", in which she did and it helped her to calm down.

Octavia was finally exposed a year before the 100 were sent to Earth. Bellamy had become an Ark Guard Cadet and was able to get duty during the Unity Day masquerade party. He sneaks Octavia out of their room for the first time in her life so she could attend, promising her that he'll keep her safe and deliver her home before their mother even knows they're gone. The party is disrupted by a solar flare alert, requiring everyone to show ID. Since Octavia didn't have an ID, they knew they would be caught. Bellamy tells her to go straight back to their room and hide while he creates a distraction but Octavia doesn't know how to get back. Commander Shumway notices that Bellamy has his shock baton out and starts to question him when he asks Octavia for her ID. Bellamy lies that he's already checked her but Commander Shumway realizes the lie quickly. Octavia tries to run but is easily captured. She is imprisoned and their mother executed. Bellamy loses his position as a Guard Cadet and is demoted to janitor. Over the next year, Bellamy is unable to see Octavia in lock-up.

One day he is approached by Commander Shumway who tells him that 100 prisoners are being sent to the ground, among them his sister. He offers Bellamy the chance to go to Earth and protect Octavia but only if he kills Thelonious Jaha. Bellamy accepts the deal and after shooting Jaha, he is able to sneak onto the dropship by posing as a guard and stows away till they are on the ground.

Throughout the Series[]

Pilot 022

Bellamy in the dropship

In Pilot, Bellamy reunites with his sister Octavia on the drop ship after it lands on earth. He assures her that he is there for her protection. Bellamy quickly takes charge of the Delinquents, convincing them to remove their wristbands so the people in the Ark will think they're dead and won't come down to earth to take away their freedom. He also recruits John Murphy and John Mbege as his enforcers. Throughout the episode, Bellamy pesters Wells Jaha to remove his wristband and antagonizes him since Wells is Chancellor Jaha's son. Toward the end of the episode, he has Murphy and Mbege forcibly remove Wells' wristband.

Pilot 034

Bellamy and Octavia.

In Earth Skills, Bellamy joins Clarke and Wells on their search for Jasper, and he leaves Atom in charge of Octavia while he's gone. Bellamy tries to get Clarke to take off her wristband but Finn Collins shows up and suggests they all split up to cover more ground. While Clarke goes with Finn, Bellamy walks with Wells and talks with him about Wells' relationship with Clarke. Bellamy tells him that she doesn't even notice him with Finn around. After walking for a while, the two groups reunite near where Jasper is. Clarke falls into an animal pit when she rushes toward Bellamy and Jasper grabs her hand to keep her from falling to her death. There is a moment when Bellamy briefly considers letting go but he continues to hold on. Wells, Finn, and Murphy help Bellamy pull Clarke out of the hole. At that moment, a jaguar begins to approach them and Bellamy reaches for his gun, only to find out that Wells stole it. The jaguar is about to pounce on Bellamy when Wells shoots it dead. Finn has Murphy help him get Jasper down and tells Wells to stay with Clarke and keep an eye on Bellamy. When they return to camp, Bellamy catches Atom kissing Octavia and ties him to a tree for the rest of the night.

Bellamy-charlotte

Bellamy and Charlotte running from the acid fog

In Earth Kills, Bellamy orders a search for Trina and Pascal, who have been missing for a while. He is confronted by Octavia because he punished Atom for kissing her. He and a few other delinquents, including Charlotte, a little girl, begin to search for the missing delinquents, as well as hunt for food. Suddenly, a huge cloud of Acid Fog appears and he manages to get Charlotte inside a cave before it reaches them, but Atom doesn't make it. While in the cave, Charlotte has a nightmare and starts to scream. Bellamy explains that she can't be afraid because fear is death and he gives her a knife, telling her to "slay her own demons" as well as telling her to repeat the phrase "Screw you. I'm not afraid" whenever she's afraid.

Once the fog passes they set out in search of Atom. They find him dying; his eyes are a pale gray color and his skin is blistered from the fog. Atom begs Bellamy to kill him and Charlotte hands Bellamy the knife he gave to her, telling him not to be afraid. He sends everyone back to camp and tries to bring himself to kill Atom. Clarke arrives and realizes there is no hope for Atom. Bellamy watches as she takes the knife from him and humanely kills Atom. Once back at camp, he is confronted by an angry Octavia due to Atom's death.

Murphy's Law 037 (Bellamy and Murphy)

Bellamy and Murphy.

In Murphy's Law, Bellamy argues with Clarke once it's discovered that Wells wasn't murdered by a Grounder but a delinquent. Clarke wants to find the real killer but Bellamy tells her it's not a good idea. She ignores him and soon everyone believes Murphy killed Wells due to their past tension, and his knife being found knew the body. Murphy is beaten and almost hanged to death after Bellamy kicked the stool out from under him at the urging of the crowd. He tells Clarke it is her fault for revealing to the Delinquents that one of them killed Wells. After Charlotte confesses to killing Wells, Murphy wants Charlotte to be punished the same way he was but Bellamy doesn't allow it and she flees the camp with Clarke and Finn. Murphy and several other Delinquents are angered at the situation and search for Charlotte. Bellamy is ahead of the enraged Delinquents and runs into Charlotte, who is trying to turn herself in after running away from Clarke and Finn. They stop at a cliff and are cornered by the others. Murphy holds Clarke hostage in exchange for Charlotte. Charlotte feeling remorseful for her actions takes her own life by jumping off a cliff, much to Bellamy's horror. Bellamy beat Murphy up in a rage but Clarke stops him from killing him. They agree to banish Murphy from the camp instead. He orders the angry Delinquents to follow him back to camp or join Murphy in exile.

Twilight's Last Gleaming 031 (Bellamy and Raven)

Bellamy seeing Raven for the first time.

In Twilight's Last Gleaming, Bellamy's asleep in his tent with two girls when he wakes up. He looks up into the sky and sees Raven's pod falling to the ground. He heads out early in the day to find it and Octavia follows after him. They get into a fight when he reveals to her that he shot Chancellor Jaha in order to get on the drop ship with her. This makes Octavia furious and she storms off. Bellamy finds the crashed dropship and steals its radio, tossing it into a river. When Clarke and Finn realize Bellamy is gone, they track him down, ultimately finding Raven and her crashed pod. Later, when they encounter Bellamy in the woods, they confront him about the missing radio. He tells them that he shot Chancellor Jaha, but Raven informs them that Jaha is still alive, much to Bellamy's relief. Clarke tells him about the air shortage on the Ark and convinces him to help them find the radio. Bellamy leads a search group made up of Clarke, Finn, Raven, Jones, Connor and a few others as they look for the radio in the river. When they find it, it is deemed irreparable. Instead, Raven comes up with an idea to salvage her drop ship so they can create a launcher to set off flares that might be visible from the Ark. As they're watching the rockets go off, Clarke asks Bellamy if they could wish on that kind of shooting star and he tells her he doesn't even know what to wish for.

The 100 1x06 Bellamy and Octavia

Flashback of Bellamy and Octavia on the Ark.

In His Sister's Keeper, Bellamy realizes that Octavia has gone missing and forms a search party in an effort to find her. Suddenly, a spectacular meteor shower lights up the sky, which Clarke realizes is actually the bodies of the people from the Ark who were culled. Bellamy brushes off Raven's accusations that it is all his fault, and he quickly takes off with a group of delinquents in search of Octavia. Once they are in Grounder's territory, they are quickly attacked. John Mbege, Diggs, and Roma are killed and Bellamy, Finn, Jasper, and Monroe are surrounded by grounders when a horn is heard in the distance. Finn, believing it to be a warning sign that Acid Fog is approaching, quickly sets up a tent and they take shelter under it. After a few minutes, Bellamy looks outside and finds no acid fog. They spot a Grounder running through the forest and they follow him back to his cave. Once inside they find the grounder unconscious and Octavia chained up. Bellamy quickly frees her and threatens to kill the Grounder but Octavia wants to spare him. While they argue, Finn notices the Grounder's horn and reaches for it. The Grounder stabs Finn and a fight ensues with the Grounder pinning Bellamy down. Octavia begs the Grounder to not kill her brother which gives Jasper the opportunity to knock the Grounder out. Once back at camp, Octavia tries to leave but Bellamy stops her. They get into a heated argument, blaming each other for their troubled past. Octavia walks off and Bellamy notices that a storm is coming.

The-100-1x07-Octavia-Bellamy-talking

In Contents Under Pressure, with the help of Miller and Drew, Bellamy brings a captured and restrained Grounder into the drop ship. They tie him up on the third floor of the drop ship and Bellamy makes Octavia leave when she protests the treatment of him. Bellamy beats the Grounder, trying to get information about the other Grounders. He looks through the Grounder's bag and they find a tin full of vials and a journal. In the journal, Bellamy sees a drawing of Octavia and is not pleased. He then sees a drawing of the drop ship and tally marks representing the number of delinquents with ten crossed out for the ten deaths that had already occurred. Clarke soon arrives, announcing that the blade Lincoln had stabbed Finn with was poisoned. Bellamy tells Clarke she doesn't have to be there while he tortures Lincoln to find the antidote, but Clarke stays. Octavia begs him to stop, telling him the Grounder had saved their lives even though Finn was dying downstairs. Bellamy brutally tortures the Grounder, whipping him with a seatbelt and putting a spike through his hand, yet the Grounder still will not speak. Raven comes into the room after Finn almost dies again and begins to electrocute the Grounder. Octavia makes her stop when she slices open her own forearm with the poisoned blade, saying that the Grounder wouldn't let her die. The Grounder finally reveals the antidote in order to save Octavia's life.

Day Trip 021 (Bellamy)

In Day Trip, Bellamy still won't let Octavia see the Grounder even though she's been waiting. He leaves Miller in charge while he goes on a supply run with Clarke to a former military facility. Inside, they find guns from before the nuclear war and collect them. Bellamy teaches Clarke how to fire a gun. Bellamy eats one of the hallucinogenic nuts as he tells Clarke he needs to get some fresh air. Once outside, he begins having visions of Chancellor Jaha and the many Ark residents who were culled because they didn't know the Earth was survivable. He begs Jaha for forgiveness and is beaten by him as the deceased Ark residents close in around him. Bellamy is attacked by another Delinquent, Dax, who was tasked by Commander Shumway to kill him. As Bellamy is still hallucinating, it makes it difficult for him to fight off the attack. Clarke attempts to save Bellamy but is disarmed by Dax. Bellamy stabs Dax in the neck with a bullet, killing him.

Bellamy tells Clarke that he's a monster and he doesn't want to face any of it. Clarke tells him that they all need him and that it is because of him that they're still alive. Bellamy agrees to return to camp and speak with Chancellor Jaha. Once back at camp, after discovering the Grounder had escaped, he and Clarke revealed they had a way to fight back now with the guns they had found. Later, he asks Octavia if she set the Grounder free. Octavia lies and Bellamy walks away. When he and Clarke talk to Chancellor Jaha, they demand Bellamy be pardoned of his crimes like all of the delinquents. Jaha agrees to pardon Bellamy's crimes in exchange for Bellamy telling him that it was Commander Shumway who had him shoot the chancellor. The news of his pardon brings a sign of relief to his face.

Unity Day 039 (Bellamy)

Bellamy and Clarke during the Unity Day celebrations.

In Unity Day, Bellamy is keeping watch over The Camp while the Delinquents celebrate Unity Day. He is approached by Clarke and he tells her to enjoy the celebration and she replies that he should as well. Later on, when Finn decides to form a truce with the grounders, Clarke asks Bellamy to follow behind them as backup. She says that she wants them to remain hidden and bring guns, in case it's an ambush. Bellamy recruits Raven and Jasper to accompany him. When the meeting begins, Bellamy witnesses Octavia hugging the Grounder, Lincoln, and is not pleased to realize his sister lied to him and freed the Grounder. Soon after, Jasper spots grounders in the trees and opens fire. The grounders return fire and Bellamy shoots Anya in the arm, saving Clarke. As the grounders fire arrows at the delinquents, Bellamy witnesses Lincoln taking an arrow for Octavia before they all flee back to the camp.

I Am Become Death 028 (Clarke, Bellamy, and Octavia)

In I Am Become Death, Bellamy goes to investigate the crash site of the Exodus dropship with Clarke, Raven, and Finn. He notices that there seem to be no survivors and has everyone return to camp when Raven announces there's leaking rocket fuel. Later, a trip-wire is activated on the perimeter and Octavia discovers an injured Murphy and he's carried into camp by Connor and Derek. He has been severely tortured by the Grounders and managed to escape when they "forgot" to lock his cage. Clarke soon discovers that Murphy brought a contagious virus to camp and many of the delinquents are affected by it. Bellamy is especially worried about Octavia since she was the one to first find Murphy. He catches her reading Lincoln's journal and tells her that she needs to let Clarke inspect her. Clarke tells Bellamy that she'll keep Octavia quarantined but instead asks Octavia to get the cure from Lincoln. After Octavia returns and tells them there is no cure and that the Grounders are attacking at dawn, Bellamy works with Finn and Raven to come up with a plan to give the delinquents some more time against the grounders by blowing up the bridge. Bellamy becomes infected and begins coughing up blood, having to pass his job in the mission on to Jasper. Octavia takes care of him throughout the night, making the same promises to Bellamy that he made to her when she was first born. The next morning, they see the debris cloud of an explosion in the distance, confirmation that Jasper, Monty, Raven, and Finn succeeded in destroying the bridge before the Grounders were able to cross.

In The Calm, Clarke tells Bellamy that she thinks the grounders are still coming. They mention the lack of communication from the Ark, and Bellamy concludes that they've probably run out of air. They continue to talk until Clarke says to Bellamy that no one is coming to save them. Later, the Smokehouse catches on fire and there is a fight going on between Murphy and Del. Bellamy breaks up the fight and is told by Octavia that all of the food was in that shed and it was Del's fault. Clarke and Bellamy decide that to survive the winter, they must go hunting. Bellamy then goes to tell Raven that he needs more bullets, only to see her packing up to go. He asks her to stay and she refuses. To try and convince her, he mentions her past achievements. She mentions that she could build radios to communicate and Bellamy agrees.

Later, Bellamy goes back to Raven's tent, only to see her upset about the fact that Clarke and Finn still haven't returned. He tells her to move on and she strips off her clothes and tells him to do the same. Bellamy is reluctant and says that he's not going to talk her down. Raven says good and kisses him. After they sleep together, Raven gets up and puts her clothes back on. Bellamy asks if sleeping with him helped to which she replies it did not. Later, Bellamy, Monty, Octavia, and Raven are looking for delinquents in the forest. They find an injured Myles and bring him back to camp, giving up on finding Clarke and Finn. Bellamy radios Monty and gets no response.

In We Are Grounders (Part 1), Bellamy is instructing the Delinquents to work on the land mines and he announces that no one will be going after Clarke, Monty, and Finn who have gone missing. When a delinquent falls asleep on watch and accidentally misfires, wasting a bullet, Bellamy freaks out and shakes him. Octavia tells him he's scaring people and he gives a speech to the delinquents on why they should be scared. In the drop ship, Bellamy tells Jasper that he's doing what's best for the group by not going after Monty, Clarke, and Finn. He then goes to get Myles water. Later, when Murphy begins to threaten Jasper, Bellamy overhears on the radio and runs to the closed doors of the drop ship. Bellamy uses a walkie-talkie to talk with Murphy inside the drop ship while Raven crawls underneath to find a way to open the drop ship door.

After Octavia criticizes him for not doing anything, he decides to take Jasper's place in the ship. Before getting in the ship, he tells the delinquents to keep working. In the ship, Murphy fires a few shots into the floor when he hears Raven below. He tells Bellamy to tie a noose and Bellamy apologizes for before, for kicking the crate out from under Murphy. Murphy says he wants Bellamy to feel what he felt and he makes Bellamy put the noose around his neck and tightens it. He then kicks the crate out from under Bellamy. Raven gets the drop ship door open just in time and Octavia is able to save Bellamy. Bellamy decides not to go after Murphy but does announce that they will be going after Monty, Clarke, and Finn. Jasper then hugs him before they hear movement outside. Clarke and Finn run inside and inform Bellamy of the incoming Grounder army. He refuses to move camp and says that they need to hold their ground. Clarke says the opposite, however, and convinces the camp to leave. Bellamy says this is a mistake.

In We Are Grounders (Part 2), Bellamy discusses battle strategy with the rest of the group and suggests going to the Reapers, but Clarke shoots him down. Bellamy taunts Finn for wanting to run but Clarke makes him stop. She tells Bellamy that they can't do this without him because the delinquents are willing to die for him. He unhappily agrees to try and make it to the ocean to evade the Grounders. Before they can escape, however, the grounder scouts attack and Drew is killed. Clarke agrees with Bellamy that they now need to stay and fight.

We Are Grounders (Part 2) 009 (Bellamy and Clarke)

Clarke and Bellamy

During the battle with the Grounders, Bellamy commands the troops to hold fire when he realizes the Grounders are drawing out their ammo. Soon, the delinquents outside the walls are in direct combat with the grounders and Bellamy tells them to retreat behind the walls. Bellamy is about to be killed by one before Octavia saves his life. They share a moment before he gives his blessing for her to go with Lincoln because she was shot and wounded by an arrow. Bellamy rushes back to get inside the walls of the camp and sees Tristan killing delinquents. He fights a losing battle with Tristan before Finn joins in. Clarke has to leave both Finn and Bellamy outside the dropship in order to save the rest of the delinquents' lives.

The 48 044 (Bellamy, Monroe, and Sterling

Bellamy, Monroe, and Sterling

In The 48, Bellamy is running through the woods with a spear and catches up to Sterling and Monroe. The three come up with a plan to free Finn from his hostage situation (he was taken as a prisoner by Tristan). Monroe and Sterling hesitate and Bellamy ends up being taken prisoner, as well. Monroe tells Sterling that they are warriors and they try to attack Tristan. Tristan is about to kill them when he is shot from behind and killed by Kane. The Delinquents lead a group of Sky People back to The Camp and they discover almost everyone is gone. The only two people who remain are a gravely injured Raven and Murphy. Bellamy tries killing Murphy by almost beating him to death but is quickly arrested by Kane who tells him they're not animals and are no longer in control.

Inclement Weather 001 (Bellamy)

Kane interrogates Bellamy

In Inclement Weather, Marcus Kane interrogates Bellamy about the Grounders. Murphy is also brought in and is chained up with Bellamy. Kane leaves when they hear gunshots outside. Bellamy and Murphy then hear Raven's screams from her surgery. Murphy mentions how he had been tortured for three days by the Grounders before he gave up information on the Delinquents and he doubts Bellamy would have done much better. Later, Finn frees Bellamy and tells him they're going after the missing Delinquents. Bellamy then goes to free Murphy because Murphy knows where the Grounder prison camp is and that's where their friends might be. Bellamy, Murphy, Finn, Monroe, and Sterling sneak out of Camp Jaha. Outside the camp, they run into Abby and David Miller who give them weapons and tell them to find their children and bring them home.

Reapercussions 025 (Murphy, Bellamy, and Monroe)

Bellamy with Monroe, Murphy and Finn spying on Grounders

In Reapercussions, Bellamy, Finn, Sterling, Monroe, and Murphy try to locate the rest of the Delinquents. Murphy leads them to where he was kept prisoner by the Grounders. At a distance, they look through their rifle scopes for the missing delinquents but don't spot them. Finn notices one of the Grounders, Delano, is wearing Clarke's watch around his neck. Bellamy notes that Clarke would not give the watch up without a fight as it was her father's. They come up with a plan to lure the Grounder out and capture him for information. Murphy is given two rocks to bang together to attract the attention of the Grounder with Clarke's watch. It works and as Delano approaches, Bellamy hits him over the head and knocks him unconscious.

They take Delano to Finn's Bunker so they can question him.
Reapercussions promo picture finn bellamy

Finn pulls a gun on Bellamy

Bellamy is trying to keep them from torturing the Grounder since he learned long ago with Lincoln that it doesn't work. Finn gets worked up that Delano won't tell them where the rest of the Delinquents are and pulls a gun on Delano, threatening to kill him. Bellamy tries to calm Finn down and Finn points the gun at Bellamy, telling him to back off. As Finn cocks the gun, Delano confesses and says that their friends are East of there and he'll draw them a map. Monroe gets him some paper to draw the map. Once Delano has drawn the map, Bellamy and Murphy discuss what to do with him. Murphy wants to kill him but Bellamy says that since Delano is unarmed, it would be an execution. Finn kills Delano anyway.

In Many Happy Returns, Bellamy, Murphy, Finn, Monroe, and Sterling are following Delano's map to get the missing Delinquents back from the Grounders. They come across the massive debris field of the Factory Station that crashed into the side of a cliff and it doesn't appear there are any survivors. As they're about to leave, they hear a lone survivor, Mel, calling for help from down below. Sterling recognizes her and decides to go after her while Bellamy and Finn argue about whether or not to leave her. As Sterling is trying to rescue Mel from the side of the cliff, none of the others are doing much to help him. The rope comes undone and Sterling plunges to his death, shocking Monroe and Murphy. Finn wants to leave Mel behind but Monroe protests and Bellamy refuses to leave Mel. They find some materials to make a new rope and Bellamy climbs down to get Mel. As they're trying to pull Bellamy and Mel back up, they suddenly come under attack by Grounders. The rope breaks with Murphy being the only thing stopping them from falling to their deaths like Sterling. Monroe starts shooting at the Grounders and is hit in the leg with an arrow. Finn and Murphy continue struggling as they try to pull Bellamy and Mel up.
Many Happy Returns 074 (Monroe, Octavia, and Bellamy)

Bellamy, Octavia, and Monroe

A foghorn is heard, warning of an Acid Fog attack, and the Grounders flee. When Bellamy is pulled up, he realizes that Murphy had saved their lives. As they're about to take cover from the incoming Acid Fog, Octavia appears and they realize she had blown Lincoln's horn that saved their lives. Bellamy helps Mel tie up her injured arm while Octavia bandages Monroe's wounded leg. Murphy asks her about Lincoln and she tells them he is gone. Because of Monroe's and Mel's injuries, they need to get them back to Camp Jaha. Bellamy allows Finn and Murphy to continue the search for the missing Delinquents and gives them two guns for protection before they part ways.
Human Trials 023 (Clarke, Bellamy, and Octavia)

Clarke and Bellamy reunite

In Human Trials, Bellamy, Octavia, Monroe, and Mel return to Camp Jaha and Clarke runs to greet them, giving Bellamy and Octavia hugs. Bellamy tells her Finn is still out looking for her. Later, after Abby refuses to allow anyone to get Murphy and Finn, Bellamy and Cl meet Raven at a section of the gate surrounding Camp Jaha. Octavia arrives and they gear up. Raven then has Wick shut down the electricity to that area of the fence and Bellamy, Octavia, and Clarke head out into the woods. Later that night, Bellamy keeps watch in the woods while Clarke and Octavia sleep. Clarke wakes up and they discuss her closing the drop ship door with him telling her that it had to be done. He then tells her how Finn hasn't been the same since Clarke disappeared and he let Finn go with Murphy and two guns. Clarke tells him she was sure it had to be done, too. They discuss getting the Delinquents out of Mount Weather and Octavia wakes up and makes them include Lincoln in their mission. Octavia then leads Clarke and Bellamy to the Abraham Lincoln statue near Lincoln's village. She breaks down and begins to cry as she tells Bellamy about how the Reapers took Lincoln and she couldn't save him. They soon hear gunshots and start running toward the village. When they finally approach, they find Finn gunning down dozens of Grounders. Bellamy and the others are shocked by this act.

In Fog of War, two days after the massacre at Lincoln's village, Clarke and Bellamy are sitting outside in the bar area of Camp Jaha. They are reviewing Clarke's map of the tunnels through Mount Weather and are discussing an action plan to get the Delinquents out. Finn and Murphy approach and Clarke admits she hasn't talked to Finn since they got back. Bellamy leaves to get drinks. Later, Bellamy and Octavia go along on the mission to take out Mount Weather's radio tower. They sneak off from the group in order to search on their own for Lincoln. Their absence is soon noticed and some Ark guards are sent after them. Acid Fog descends upon everyone and Octavia follows the fleeing critters to a sealed door.

Fog of War 073 (Octavia)

Bellamy and Octavia hide from a Reaper Lincoln

They get the door open and make it into a long-forgotten parking garage, rescuing two of the three the Ark guards who had followed them (one was swallowed up by the fog). They split up from the guards with Sgt. Scott giving Bellamy a gun. They soon hear the guards screaming and run to them only to see Reapers devouring them. Bellamy kills the two Reapers and then they spot another one kneeling over Sgt. Scott. Octavia recognizes it's Lincoln and calls out to him. He turns and starts to attack her and she shoots him in the leg. She and Bellamy escape and plan a way to lure Lincoln back out so they can capture him. Octavia acts as bait and Bellamy uses the Ark guard's stun stick to knock Lincoln out. He tells Octavia that they will take Lincoln home.

In Long Into an Abyss, Bellamy brings Clarke to the drop ship and asks her to help with Lincoln who is once again chained to the walls after having been turned into a Reaper. Clarke inspects Lincoln and discovers needle marks on his neck. Lincoln manages to break free and begins attacking everyone until Octavia is able to knock him out again. They get him chained back up and Octavia tries to give him some water but Lincoln thrashes at her, upsetting her. She leaves the drop ship to get some more water and brings Nyko back with her. Nyko tells them that death is the only way to reverse the Reaper state just as Finn appears to warn them that everyone in Camp Jaha is about to leave. When Nyko sees Finn, he attacks him and strangles him for slaughtering his village. Bellamy lifts up his gun but Octavia blocks his way and won't let him shoot Nyko. Clarke uses an Ark Guard's stun stick to knock Nyko off Finn just as Octavia realizes that Lincoln has stopped breathing. Nyko watches in awe as Clarke gives Lincoln chest compressions and gets him breathing again. Clarke realizes she can use the Reapers to her advantage to stop the Grounder attack and leaves for Camp Jaha to get her mom.

Abby arrives at the drop ship and gives Lincoln a shot to bring down his fever when he starts convulsing again. He stops breathing and Abby begins chest compressions. Abby finally gives up and says that Lincoln is gone. Octavia refuses to believe her and continues chest compressions while Bellamy tries to comfort her. Clarke with Lexa and several other Grounders enter at that moment and they are at a standstill with everyone going for their weapons. Abby picks up the shock baton and holds it in front of her before using it as a defibrillator on Lincoln, shocking him twice before he starts breathing again, much to the Grounders' surprise and the Sky Peoples' relief.

In Spacewalker, At Camp Jaha, security has been increased and even Murphy has received a gun. Bellamy and Clarke approach and Finn offers to help with the perimeter security but Bellamy takes him inside. Later, Bellamy and Raven confront Abby, asking her what they're planning to do with Finn and she tells them they're all trying to find a way out of the situation. Bellamy takes that to mean they're giving Finn up. Bellamy finds Finn and tells him they need to leave because the rest of the Sky People are getting restless. They're approached by some Sky People and Bellamy knocks one of them down so Clarke and Finn can escape.

Spacewalker 033 (Clarke, Bellamy, and Finn)

Bellamy with Clarke and Finn

Bellamy, Raven, and Murphy (by Raven's invitation) arrive at the drop ship first. Finn arrives at the drop ship, carrying an unconscious Clarke. Bellamy and Murphy take care of Clarke while Raven tries to comfort Finn. Clarke wakes up and Finn tells her he thought she was dead because of him. Clarke tells him he is not defined by the things he's done. Bellamy shouts a warning to them that the Grounders have arrived and they're surrounded. Raven wants to give up Murphy instead of Finn because Murphy was also at the village. Finn steps between Raven and Murphy and tells them they need to stay and defend the drop ship. He instructs Murphy to go upstairs and watch the back while he takes the lower level of the drop shop and Bellamy, Raven, and Clarke will take the front gate. Finn and Raven hug goodbye and Finn tells her, "May we meet again." He then climbs out the bottom of the drop ship. Clarke, Raven, and Bellamy are watching the front gate when they say Finn step out in front of them and surrender himself to the Grounders.

Back at Camp Jaha, Clarke, Raven, Bellamy, and the rest of the Sky People watch as the Grounders start setting up for Finn's execution. Abby says there is nothing to be done. Clarke, Raven, and Bellamy then meet up at Raven's Gate where Raven gives Clarke a knife so Clarke can kill Lexa because Raven owes Finn her life. Bellamy watches with Raven from Camp Jaha as Clarke walks over to Finn and hugs him, telling him she loves him and that he will be okay before stepping away to reveal that she had killed him with the knife Raven gave her. Lexa tells her warriors that it is done and keeps them from attacking. Raven screams and crumples in hysterical grief while Bellamy catches her and holds onto her.

In Remember Me, On the walk from Camp Jaha to Tondc, Bellamy asks Clarke if she's doing all right and tells her she did the right thing with Finn. Bellamy then tells her they're wasting time and what they really need is an inside man in Mount Weather. Clarke tells him she doesn't want him to go because she can't lose him, too. While camping for the night, Clarke places her bedroll on the side of the Grounders. Bellamy tells her it's safer on their side but Clarke says they need to trust the Grounders. Bellamy places his stuff down on the Grounder side as well. They arrive at Tondc and everyone has to disarm before entering and Bellamy gives up his gun.

Later, after the funeral, Bellamy joins everyone for a banquet celebrating the alliance. Marcus Kane brings forward some liquor to share. Clarke and Lexa both take a goblet but Gustus stops Lexa and takes a sip first before giving it back to her. As they toast and are about to take a sip, Gustus falls over having been poisoned. Bellamy knocks the goblet out of Clarke's hands before she can drink from it and all of the Sky People are searched with the Grounders finding the poison on Raven.
Remember Me 071 (Bellamy and Raven)

Raven and Bellamy

Lexa commands for all of the Sky People to be locked up. Kane goes over to talk to Clarke and tells her that they need to figure out who would want Lexa dead. They come to the conclusion that the poisoner had to be someone who was trying to break the alliance. Nyko and Indra take Raven away for her execution. Indra tells them the rest of them are free and they should run. Clarke eventually realizes the poison wasn't in the bottle; it was in the cup. She runs outside and asks Nyko for the bottle and drinks from it, showing it wasn't poisoned. Bellamy realizes that it was Gustus who poisoned the cup because he was trying to protect Lexa from the alliance. Lexa commands him to be tied up in Raven's place.

That night, Raven gets the radio signal from Mount Weather and hears Jasper's message. Clarke tells Bellamy he was right and that they need an inside man. She tells him she was being weak and it's worth the risk for him to go. Lincoln tells Bellamy he'll take him through the Reaper tunnels but Octavia needs to stay behind and make sure the alliance doesn't fail because she has knowledge of both worlds.

Survival of the Fittest 004 (Lincoln and Bellamy)

Lincoln takes Bellamy to Mount Weather

In Survival of the Fittest, Bellamy and Lincoln are disguised as Reapers as they head toward the Mount Weather mines. Lincoln spears an animal and cuts it open. He smears blood on his face along with limestone to enhance his Reaper disguise. Lincoln tells Bellamy about the intake process and how each person is tagged for either Cerberus Project (like Lincoln) or for Harvest. Bellamy mentions that his mom read mythology to him and Octavia all the time and that Octavia loved it, causing Lincoln to smile. Bellamy asks why he protected Octavia before he knew her. Lincoln then tells Bellamy how when he was a boy, a Sky Person dropped from The Ark and onto Earth. For three days, Lincoln tended to the man, eventually telling his father. His father made Lincoln kill the man and the world has been trying to turn him into a monster for as long as he can remember. Later, Lincoln tells Bellamy that he remembers everything from when he was on the Reaper Red drug.

When they reach the entrance to the Reaper mines, Lincoln appears hesitant, but goes on anyway. As Bellamy and Lincoln make their way through the Reaper tunnels, Lincoln finds himself struggling with his addiction to the Reaper drug. The two discuss the plan to infiltrate and Lincoln again says he doesn't think he can do it. He tries to back out of the plan but they're interrupted by another Reaper Raiding Party and Lincoln has to pretend that Bellamy is his captive to keep their ploy from being discovered. Once they reach the underground entrance to Mount Weather, Bellamy, and the other captured grounders are marked for harvesting. Lincoln is unable to resist the Red drug and allows Bellamy to be harvested by the Mountain Men.

Scrub3 2x11

In Coup de Grâce, Bellamy has been harvested by Mount Weather and is chained up and forced through the decontamination process where he is blasted with boiling water, doused with decontamination powder, inspected, given shots, and painfully scrubbed down. He later wakes up locked in a cage in the Harvest Chamber. He tries to get out when the Grounder in the cage next to him (Echo) tells him in Trigedasleng to be quiet because the Mountain Men take the strongest. Bellamy tells her he can't understand her and she spits on him when she realizes he's a Sky Person. He tells her they're not enemies anymore and he needs to get out of the cage so he can kill everyone in the mountain. Sgt. Lovejoy and another Mountain Man enter the Harvest Chamber looking for their next victim. They start to unlock Echo's cave but Bellamy starts kicking at his cage to get their attention. They pick him instead, shocking him with a stun stick and injecting him with a sedative. He is then strung upside-down and his blood is circulated out.

Maya Vie enters the Harvest Chamber looking for Monty and Harper. Instead, she finds Bellamy hanging upside-down. She injects him with epinephrine to wake him up and asks him if he's from the Ark and knows Jasper. Bellamy realizes it's Maya who is helping him and asks for her to get him down.
Coup de Grace 035 (Bellamy)
She starts pulling off the electrodes just as Lovejoy walks in and asks what she's doing in there. Maya lies and says she wanted to know what was so special about Bellamy but he's dead. Lovejoy checks the heart monitor without realizing Maya had already detached the wires from Bellamy and starts to get Bellamy down. Once Bellamy's feet are free, Bellamy kicks Lovejoy and Lovejoy holds a gun on him. Maya stabs Lovejoy in the neck with a scalpel and Bellamy and Lovejoy begin fighting. Maya picks up a gun and tells Lovejoy to stop but Bellamy warns her not to use it because everyone else will hear the gunshot. Lovejoy is gaining the upper hand when Echo reaches out of her cage and grabs hold of his arm to prevent him from stabbing Bellamy with the scalpel that was in his neck. Bellamy then strangles Lovejoy, killing him. He thanks Echo for her help and asks Maya if she is all right. At first, Maya seems traumatized but then she resolves herself and tells Bellamy she is fine and helps Bellamy get Lovejoy undressed. Bellamy then re-enters from the "End Containment Area" wearing Lovejoy's guard uniform. He pushes the button to send Lovejoy's body down into the Reaper tunnels. Bellamy tells Maya she has done enough and should walk away. Maya tells him she's in and hands Bellamy Lovejoy's gun and badge. She tells him she can take him to the radio and that Monty and Harper have already gone missing. Maya tells him that everyone knows everyone else as she removes Lovejoy's name-tag and gives Bellamy a hat. As she cuts out Bellamy's tracking device, she asks him how he knew her name. Bellamy tells her that Clarke told him that Jasper "couldn't stop talking about someone named Maya." She tells him to put the tracking device in his cage. As he does so, he promises Echo that he will be back.

Maya leads Bellamy through Mount Weather to an elevator, pointing out cameras and telling him how to get around. As they get on the elevator, another resident gets on with them and chats with Maya. The elevator stops and two more people get on. The elevator stops again and Maya gestures for Bellamy to exit behind the other two people. The man on the elevator notices that there is blood on Bellamy's collar. Maya claims he must have been exposed and steals the man's handkerchief to hold against Bellamy's face as she kicks the other man out of the elevator to do her job of tracing down the alleged radiation leak. They continue to head toward to the dorm when they come across a group of Mount Weather preschoolers. One of them walks up to Bellamy and asks him if he's on a ground unit because his father is training to be on a ground unit. As the boy leaves, his backpack reveals the last name, "Lovejoy." Bellamy finally realizes that the mountain is not just full of Mountain Men but also civilians. Meanwhile, Monty and Jasper are ordering the Delinquents to pack their things because they're no longer safe in Mount Weather. Just as Bellamy and Maya approach the dorm, an alarm is heard and the doors to the dorm close, sealing the Delinquents in. Jasper sees Bellamy and Maya on the other side of the door as Bellamy tells Maya to get him to the radio.

Coup de Grace 084 (Bellamy and Maya)

Bellamy talking to Clarke on the radio

Bellamy gets through on the radio to Clarke and he tells her that the Delinquents have been locked up and that things are going to get ugly. He says that they need a plan that doesn't kill everyone because there are kids in there. Clarke tells Bellamy that he needs to turn off the Acid Fog and free the imprisoned Grounders. Bellamy asks Clarke to buy him some time so they won't discover him inside the mountain just yet.

In Rubicon, Bellamy is in Mount Weather and calls in over the radio to Camp Jaha to tell Clarke about how the Delinquents are being taken away one at a time. Clarke tells Bellamy to find the missing Delinquents. Bellamy then crawls through the air vents as he tries to find the missing Delinquents. He hears the sound of drilling and heads down a duct toward the noise and witnesses Dr. Lorelei Tsing drilling into a now-dead Delinquent and extracting bone marrow to give to Carl Emerson. Cage Wallace asks Emerson about Clarke and Emerson gives him the message that they're supposed to release the Delinquents. Cage then tells Emerson that it doesn't matter because tonight, he's going to drop a missile on Tondc where all of their leaders are meeting. Bellamy asks Clarke if she heard everything through his earpiece and she tells Raven she's leaving for Tondc. Bellamy asks after Octavia and Clarke lies that she's not there anymore.

When Dr. Tsing returns to the dorm to pick another Delinquent, Bellamy pretends to be a guard and grabs Jasper when the Delinquents try to fight back. He hands Jasper a gun and tells him they need to fight back harder next time. Bellamy then goes as a guard to Dante's prison cell in the quarantine area and brings him his meal. Dante turns up the music and asks who he is. Bellamy tells him they need his help because Cage is killing the Delinquents. Dante tries to find out who is helping Bellamy but Bellamy won't tell him. Dante tells him that Cage has probably changed all access codes and he can't help them escape but he can buy them some time. Bellamy crawls around in the air vents again while he talks with Raven over the radio. Raven accidentally mentions Octavia is in Tondc and Bellamy is bothered that Clarke would lie to him. Raven tells him to focus. Later, Bellamy is in a room, pulling at wires and asking Raven how he'll know it's working when suddenly alarms blare "Containment breach," letting him he successfully irradiated Level 5 and saved the Delinquents from Dr. Tsing and the guards.

Bellamy saves Maya

In Resurrection, in Mount Weather, Fox has been taken captive by the Mountain Men. They drag Fox into the Marrow Room and as they try to get her on the table, she breaks free and runs for the door. Another guard steps in front of her with a gun in her face. He turns and shoots the two guards dead, revealing himself to be Bellamy. Fox cries in happiness and hugs him as Maya Vie walks in and tells him they need to get Fox someplace safe. She takes them to her home where her father, Vincent Vie is sleeping on the couch. He tells Maya what she is doing is dangerous and Maya tells him that it's what her mother would have done. Her parents were part of a movement that refused the blood treatments. Her mom refused the treatment and died for her beliefs. Vincent agrees to let them stay for one night and Bellamy thanks him. Vincent warns Bellamy that the Mountain Me will never stop.

Later, Maya is leading Bellamy through Mount Weather. She tells him to get the guns and she'll worry about getting them to the Mess Hall on level 5. Bellamy tells Maya that she's a "natural-born revolutionary," and she replies she's just trying to do what's right. Bellamy takes off to get the guns. After Maya is released by Cage Wallace with 20 minutes of oxygen to force the Delinquents to surrender, she tells them that Bellamy is going to try getting in through the Mess Hall trash chute.
Bell del2 2x13

Bellamy saves the Delinquents

Monty works frantically on getting the trash chute open because Maya is down to her last minute of air. Miller helps him pull on the trash cute as they hear Bellamy come banging through. He tells them to give him Maya and takes her down the chute with him. Jasper follows after and they get her mask off in time. The door at the end of the chute opens and her dad appears. Bellamy and Jasper hug as Bellamy tells him that Clarke is coming with an army full of Grounders. Jasper asks if that means Finn finally got his peace talks and Bellamy replies, "something like that." Bellamy then leads all of the Delinquents through Mount Weather. He tells them they need to split up. Monty is against the idea and Miller asks who would help them. Bellamy takes them around a corner to reveal Maya and Vincent with a group of Mount Weather Resisters who are willing to help the Delinquents. Bellamy tells them to "stay alive. Be ready to fight, war is coming."

In Bodyguard of Lies, Bellamy discovers his Mount Weather access card has stopped working. Raven asks over the radio if he's found the Acid Fog room yet and he tells her he'll call her back once he finds another way in. Two Mountain Men stop Bellamy and report back that they've found the target who is not Lovejoy. Bellamy takes off running and they chase him through the Mountain. Bellamy ducks around a corner and waits for one of the Mountain Men (Garza) to come around the corner before he knocks him out and steals his key card.

Later, Bellamy has successfully made his way back to Vincent Vie when a Mount Weather Guard, Lee, appears. Bellamy pulls a gun on him but Vincent tells him it's all right. Lee tells Bellamy that some of the guards don't agree with Cage either. Bellamy then asks after the Delinquents and Vincent tells him they've been moved to already searched areas because Cage has gone public with what happened on Level 5. Bellamy asks for help getting to the Acid Fog room and Vincent shows him designs of the retrofit are in Mount Weather, what they have been using to move the Delinquents in secret. Vincent gives him an acetylene torch and shows him the route to take. Bellamy then uses the acetylene torch to cut his way into the Acid Fog room through an air vent. He grabs an emergency fire ax and uses it to bust the door lock to the Acid Fog room and jam the doors from being easily opened. He then calls into Raven and begins to describe the Acid Fog room. Wick tells Bellamy to go to the monitor and asks after Monty. Bellamy starts reading off what he sees on the monitor and asks if he can just blow it up. Wick tells him that would let Mount Weather know their defenses are down while Raven tells him he would probably melt his face off. Bellamy starts reading them all of the menu options. When he gets to "Maintenance and Cleaning," Raven and Wick up with the idea to use the Passivation process to neutralize the acid. Bellamy selects it and the machine whirs to life. He watches as the PH rises from 0 (acidic) and climbs to 7 (neutral) before a message flashes that the passivation was successful. Raven and Wick accidentally hug in celebration and Bellamy tells them to send a flare, letting Clarke and Lexa know the Acid Fog has been disabled.

As Bellamy is about to leave the Acid Fog room, he notices an old manual dial tucked far back on the side of one of the huge barrels of acid. He cleans off the dial and realizes that the PH is still set to 0. The computer was wrong and the acid is not neutralized. He calls Raven on the radio, however, Cage and Emerson had intercepted the signal when they first discovered Bellamy and allowed him to think he had disabled the Acid Fog machine before cutting his communication with Raven. Cage tells them to reset the Acid Fog panel as they wait for the Grounder army to get into range. He then tells Emerson to bring him the intruder. Bellamy hears the Mount Weather Guards banging on the door to the Acid Fog room as they try to get in and he takes off running back toward the air duct he originally climbed through. He hides behind one of the flammable oxygen tanks and then makes a run for the air duct as the Mount Weather guards shoot at him. Once he's in the air duct, he shoots behind himself at the guards until he runs out of bullets. He scurries through the air duct as Emerson begins a countdown on the Acid Fog deployment. One of the guards goes after Bellamy in the air ducts while another guard checks the tanks in the Acid Fog room. When Emerson counts down to One, Cage says, "we're go for Veil." The Acid Fog machine starts to fire up just as one of the guards spots the lit acetylene torch next to the flammable oxygen tank. A massive explosion takes place, blowing out everyone and everything in the Acid Fog room and traveling through the air ducts. It takes out the guard that had followed Bellamy and the force of the explosion reaches Bellamy just as he gets to a ventilation shaft, pushing him out before the fire reaches him. Bellamy smiles with relief that he's still alive.

Bellamy saves the Grounders inside Mount Weather

In Blood Must Have Blood (Part 1), Bellamy makes his way into the Harvest Chamber in Mount Weather. He keeps his promise to Echo and frees her from her cage. They start to free the other Grounders and Bellamy tells Echo to help him get them ready to fight. The Grounders start to get excited and Echo tells them to be quiet. Bellamy starts to tell her the plan when Cage Wallace comes over the PA, announcing to all of Mount Weather that they can all return to the ground. He tells them that before the Delinquents murdered her, Dr. Lorelei Tsing had found a cure in their bone marrow. Bellamy tells Echo he has to go save the Delinquents and that he's going to bring them back to the Harvest Chamber. Echo thanks him for his help. Cage continues talking over the PA, asking for the residents of Mount Weather to turn over the "44 murderers" and if they don't, they will be considered enemies.

Tilling and another guard have captured Fox, Miller, Jasper, and Maya. They are stopped by Vincent Vie who begs Tilling to let his daughter go. Tilling tells Vincent to step aside and raises his gun at him. As Tilling steps closer to take the shot, he is suddenly shot in the head from the right side. Tilling falls as Vincent runs over to the air vent and pries it open, revealing Bellamy, while Miller takes down the other guard and bashes his head against the wall. Bellamy tells them to go with Vincent to the Harvest Chamber where they'll be safe. Jasper and Maya decide to go with Bellamy to rescue Monty and the other Delinquents. Maya gives a hug to her father in goodbye.

Maya, Jasper, and Bellamy

Later, Bellamy, Jasper, and Maya look for the last 12 Delinquents. They hear a gunshot and rush toward it, waiting until the Guards are gone. They find Mrs. Ryan, the woman who was hiding the last twelve delinquents, dead. Jasper wants to go to Level 5 but Bellamy doesn't think that's a good idea. Monty Green comes out and tells them he hid and had to let them kill Mrs. Ryan because he overheard that the Mountain Men know about Echo's Grounder army and are going for the Harvest Chamber. Bellamy, Maya, Jasper, and Monty then head to the Harvest Chamber. Maya discovers her dad, shot dead in the middle of the floor while Bellamy discovers every single one of the cages empty.

Oct bell 2x16

Bellamy and Octavia reunite

In Blood Must Have Blood (Part 2), down in the mines underneath Mount Weather, Bellamy opens the intake door to let in Clarke and Octavia. He's brought Monty, Jasper, and Maya with him and everybody hugs. Clarke asks Bellamy if he has a plan and he tells her no, but they can speak to Dante Wallace. They split up with Bellamy, Clarke, and Monty going after Dante and Octavia going with Jasper and Maya to get her to Level 5 before she runs out of oxygen. In Dante's room in Mount Weather Quarantine, Dante tells them that there is no one in the Command Center watching because everyone is trapped on Level 5. Clarke explains how they did everything they could to keep the Mountain Men safe and he needs to help them. Dante refuses to help but they take him with them anyway to the Command Center where Monty breaks them in. Dante tells Clarke that he's not with his people because it's his responsibility to "bear it so they don't have to." Bellamy realizes that it was Dante who set up the deal with Lexa.

Once in the Command Center, Bellamy sees Raven strapped to the table in the dorm room while Clarke spots Emerson in the Mess Hall. She calls him over the radio and tells him to give the radio to Cage Wallace. Clarke tells Cage she has his father and tells him she'll kill Dante if he doesn't let her people go. Dante tells Cage to "stay the course" and Clarke raises up her gun and aims it at Dante. Cage tells his dad he'll take care of their people and Clarke shoots Dante dead. Clarke then tells Cage she will not stop until her people are free and will irradiate Level 5 if he doesn't let them go. Cage orders Emerson to go to the Command Center and kill them. Bellamy asks Monty to deactivate Emerson's key card as they watch Cage head toward the dorm. Clarke tells Monty to get it set up so they can irradiate Level 5 if they have to. Bellamy warns Clarke there is no going back if they do this. Bellamy then sees Octavia and Maya have been discovered by Mount Weather guards. He watches as Octavia takes out two Mount Weather guards just as Emerson arrives outside the Command Center. Bellamy then sees Octavia and Maya are surrounded by Mount Weather Guards in the Mess Hall. As Clarke reaches for the lever to irradiate Mount Weather, Bellamy places his hand on top of hers and says, "together," and they pull the lever.

The Mount Weather residents begin to succumb to the radiation. Outside the Command Center, Emerson realizes what they have done and takes off running. Bellamy, Clarke, and Monty then walk through the Mess Hall and among all of the deceased residents of Mount Weather. Jasper is cradling a dead Maya and asks them what they did.

Goodbye Hug (Blood Must Have Blood Part 2)

Bellamy hugs Clarke goodbye

The next day, the Sky People return to Camp Jaha. Bellamy watches at the gate as Monty gives Clarke a hug before entering Camp Jaha. Clarke tells Bellamy to have a drink for her and Bellamy realizes she's leaving. He tells her, "if you need forgiveness, I'll give you that. You're forgiven." She tells him, "I bear it so they don't have to," before hugging him and kissing him on the cheek in goodbye, telling him, "may we meet again." As Bellamy turns back to Camp Jaha, he replies, "may we meet again."

In Wanheda (Part 1), at Arkadia, Bellamy and Lincoln are sparring while a group of people, including Monroe and Harper, watch. Lincoln wins the fight and tells them that Bellamy was too aggressive and that is why he lost. When Lincoln gets his uniform,Bellamy tells everyone that they can make the uniform mean something different down here than it meant up on the Ark. Bellamy goes to leave for a mapping mission of Sector 7, which Lincoln says puts them on the Azgeda border and asks to go along. Bellamy tells him he can't because of the Commander's kill order on his head.

Bellamy goes to see Kane about going into Sector 7. Kane grants permission to go into Sector 7 with weapons but re-enforces the "non-lethal response" rule since there hasn't been any Grounder attacks since Mount Weather. Bellamy leaves and searches out Monty for the mapping run. Jasper is passed out drunk under a table and Bellamy wants to leave him but Monty convinces him to bring Jasper because Jasper needs it after Maya's death. Bellamy leaves Jasper with Monty and goes over to see Gina, his girlfriend who just came back from a supply run from Mount Weather. They kiss and Gina gives him a book she brought back, The Iliad since she knew his mom used to read it to him. Bellamy walks over to the rover they will be using on their mapping mission and Raven slides out from underneath it. Miller shows up and Bellamy tosses him a gun. Jasper grabs Monty and shoves him against the side of the rover after he woke him up. Bellamy jumps in and tells Jasper he doesn't get a gun until he is sober. Jasper says he doesn't want one and disrespectfully slaps Bellamy upside the head before getting into the vehicle. Bellamy kisses Gina goodbye and climbs in with everyone else, with Raven driving. They leave through the gates of Arkadia and head out on their mapping mission.

While driving along Jasper starts singing along with the song (Add It Up by the Violent Femmes) and soon Raven and Miller join in. Their sing-a-long is interrupted by the sound of a tracking beacon from Farm Station going off after four months. They stop and Octavia rides up on her horse, asking why they stopped. Since Monty and Miller's boyfriend are both from Farm Station, Bellamy says Monty and Miller get to decide whether or not they go into Azgeda territory and they both agree.

In Sector 7, they reach the border to Sector 8 and Azgeda territory. Bellamy reminds them to use non-lethal force as the beacon signal draws nearer to them. Three Azgeda warriors break through the tree line on horses, identified by their white war paint. Octavia tells them they are Skaikru looking for their people. The Azgeda warrior asks if they're looking for Wanheda. The warrior takes Jasper hostage and starts to slit his throat. Bellamy shoots him in the arm while Raven and Miller kill the other two warriors. The wounded warrior rises up to kill Jasper and Octavia throws her sword at him, killing him.

Kane comes in over the radio, asking for Bellamy to come to Sector 4. Bellamy and Monty take the rover and head to Sector 4. Once Bellamy and Monty arrive at Sector 4, they walk to meet Kane. Monty tells Bellamy that Jasper is damaged and getting worse. They encounter Kane and Indra. Indra has come to warn them that Clarke is being hunted by everyone. Indra and Kane are riding in the back of the rover with Monty driving and Bellamy in the front seat. Bellamy comments on the kill order on Clarke. Indra clarifies that it is a bounty and that Clarke is a symbol known as Wanheda, the Commander of Death. They drive into Sector 7 and Indra tells them to start at the trading posts in order to find Clarke. Monty is still driving Bellamy, Kane, and Indra in the rover to Sector 7. Monty slams on the breaks when the rover's path is blocked by a felled tree. Indra tells them it was cut down but Bellamy doesn't believe her until another tree falls behind their rover, effectively trapping them.

In Wanheda (Part 2), Bellamy, Monty, Indra, and Kane have been trapped in Sector 7 in the rover for three hours waiting for something to happen. Bellamy pokes his head out the moon roof and suddenly has a knife to his throat. The rest of them are ordered out of the rover as Bellamy is yanked out through the moon-roof. Monty tries to fight them and Bellamy calls out his name to get him to stop. One of the warriors repeats Monty's name and Monty recognizes her voice as his mother's. Pike orders the rest of them to stand down and greets Kane and Bellamy. He calls them "Grounder killers" and everyone cheers. Bellamy interrupts and tells them they need to find Clarke. They go to move the trees blocking the rover and Bellamy asks Monty if he is okay. They get the trees out of the way of the rover and Kane sends the Farm Station warriors to collect the rest of their people and head to Arkadia.

At the trading post, Roan's bounty hunter partner is about to cut off Niylah's hand when Bellamy shoots him dead. Bellamy pleads with Niylah to tell them about Clarke. Niylah recognizes him as Skaikru and tells him that Clarke was there last night and the bounty hunter told her his partner was Azgeda. Bellamy thanks her as Monty comes back to tell them he found their tracks but they can't take the rover because there are too many trees.

Pike and Bellamy are walking through the same field where Clarke and Roan previously were. Pike asks Bellamy why they seem to be getting along with the Grounders and Bellamy tells him it was because they had a common enemy and they won. Bellamy spots Roan and Clarke far on the other side of the field as Kane spots the incoming army advancing from another end of the field, separating them from Clarke. Bellamy wants to go after Clarke but they are stuck in the cave with the corpses of the three Azgeda scouts as they wait for the army to clear out.

Bellamy steals one of the dead Azgeda scouts' uniforms and is making his way across the field full of Azgeda warriors in the direction he saw Clarke last. He arrives at the subway station and finds Clarke tied up. They are briefly reunited before Roan has him pinned to the ground and is about to kill him when Clarke pleads for his life and promises Roan she will cooperate if he lets Bellamy live. Roan stabs Bellamy in the leg so he can't follow after them and takes off with Clarke again, leaving Bellamy behind. Bellamy still tries to follow after and is eventually found limping along by Monty. Kane and Pike try to get Bellamy to give up but he is worried about losing Clarke. Monty convinces Bellamy to head back and try again later.

In Ye Who Enter Here, Rover 1 pulls up to Mount Weather and Bellamy, Raven, Gina, and Octavia exit. Bellamy complains to Gina about not being at the summit because Kane is trying to teach Bellamy a lesson. They bring supplies into Mount Weather and enter the dining room on Level 5, finding it filled with Farm Station survivors, eating and having fun. Bellamy finds Octavia sitting on top of the side-door to Mount Weather. He asks her if she's okay and then climbs up to join her. She tells him that inhabiting Mount Weather is a mistake. Octavia reveals to Bellamy that once the kill order is lifted off Lincoln, they will finally be able to leave. She apologizes for not fitting in with the Sky People. Bellamy is understanding and tells her that she will always fit in with him. Two Farm Station survivors enter the clearing escorting a prisoner with them. Bellamy recognizes Echo, who has been taken captive for "threatening the summit." Bellamy and Octavia free her to the protests of the Farm Station guards and Echo tells them the summit is a trap and all of the Sky People will die. They bring Echo into the mess hall. Pike and Bellamy question Echo as other Farm Station members are grabbing weapons and arming themselves. Echo tells them the summit is a trap. Bellamy tells Pike they can trust Echo because she saved his life. Bellamy tells Gina to remain behind to help them find the launch codes while he leaves for Polis to warn the rest of the Sky People about the attack since they are not responding to the radio.

Bellamy, Octavia, Echo, and Pike arrive at the outskirts of Polis and park behind the truck Kane and Abby arrived in. Octavia discovers the two guards Kane left behind had their throats slit and that is why they did not respond when radioed about the threat. Pike starts to go after Echo but Octavia steps in and tells him that Echo warned them. Octavia tells Echo she is not leaving her blade behind before entering Polis and Echo says she will take them through the tunnels so they can keep their weapons.Under Polis, Bellamy, Echo, Octavia, and Pike move through the tunnels toward the elevator shaft to the Polis tower. Two guards spinning the wheel that raises and lowers the elevator are in their way. Pike and Bellamy attack and kill the two guards running the elevator. Octavia is upset that they killed the guards when they did not have to. Bellamy insists they did. They proceed to climb the ladder up the elevator shaft to the top floor. Octavia, Bellamy, and Pike barge into the throne room, holding a guard captive. Bellamy warns everyone the summit is a trap. Ivon, the Azgeda representative, tells them it was the Skaikru who barged into the summit with guns. Pike says they are right because two Skaikru guards are already dead. Lexa asks how they came by the information and Octavia realizes Echo is no longer with them. Bellamy realizes Echo betrayed them as Kane tells him to stand down. Raven comes across the radio and tells them that the Grounders attacked Mount Weather and it is completely gone with only her and Jacapo Sinclair surviving. Ivon tells them that is what they get for moving their people back into Mount Weather and Azgeda did what Lexa was too weak to do. Lexa declares war and orders the Azgeda delegation along with Prince Roan to be arrested. Abby worries that Arkadia might be under attack next and Lexa commands them to go. Indra offers to escort them and tells Octavia she hopes she kept up on her training because she will need it before giving her back her sword. Bellamy tells Clarke they need to leave while Lexa offers Clarke protection if she remains as Skaikru ambassador. Clarke tells them she is staying to make sure Lexa keeps her word. Bellamy warns Clarke that Lexa will always put her people first and tells her to come home but Clarke apologizes and stays.

In Watch the Thrones, Bellamy stands outside the conference room when Pike opens the door revealing him. Bellamy walks into the room, Kane asks him why he isn't at his post, Bellamy returns his guard uniform, and Kane then asks him to take it back. Bellamy feels guilty and blames himself about the attack on Mount Weather and the death of Gina, and Kane tries to comfort him. Bellamy storms out of the room. Bellamy pays his respects and also speaks about Gina at the Memorial for the Farm Station victims killed in the Mount Weather destruction. After Gillmer hit Lincoln's head with a rock and chaos erupted, Bellamy helped stop the fighting and bring peace back to the memorial. Pike and Bellamy sit down and talk about Mount Weather, Pike confronts Bellamy, about the claims that the Mount Weather destruction was because of Bellamy, Pike then says it was Bellamy's fault but also his too. Pike tries to sway Bellamy to his side, by telling him biased facts about the grounders. Pike believes that he must take action quickly and he has the men ready for it. Bellamy finally comes to the conclusion that Pike wants him to get them automatic rifles and Bellamy then agrees to Pike's plan.

At night Bellamy, Pike, Gillmer, Hannah, and 6 others march to the front gates of Arkadia, there they are confronted by Lincoln, Harper and Monroe. Bellamy persuades Harper and Monroe instantly but Lincoln won't move. Gillmer quickly takes action, and raises his gun to Lincoln, Lincoln and Gillmer then engage in fighting. They quickly draw a crowd, Octavia, Abby, and Kane make their way up to the gate. Abby is appalled at Pike's actions, and Kane asks Bellamy if it was his decision to arm Pike's people. Abby then tells the guards to take the traitors to lock up including Bellamy. Pike stands up for his people, and Gillmer suggests that Pike should be one of the choices for the election. Abby ends the rally, and sends the traitors to lock up, as they exit the crowd starts chanting Pike over and over again. Kane then comes to lockup and tells Pike that he won the election. Pike then pardons all prisoners including Bellamy. As Bellamy leaves, Kane begs him to choose the right side, and Bellamy then says he already has.

In Hakeldama, Bellamy returns to Arkadia after massacring the grounder army. Being spattered in blood (not his own), his sister asks him if he's okay, to which he replies that he is. When Octavia asks him what happened, Bellamy remains silent and then proceeds to listen to Pike's speech.

Bellamy is present during the new Chancellor's war council in which Pike proposes to clear a 15 kilometre perimeter around Arkadia for farming purposes. When Bellamy points out that there is a Grounder village within that radius and appears concerned of Pike's determination to clear it, Pike asks the rest of his people to leave the room so he can talk privately with Bellamy. Pike offers Bellamy his guard jacket back, but Bellamy tells him they went too far by executing the wounded grounder warriors (something Bellamy tried to prevent during the time). Pike admits that the policy was severe, but justifies their actions by saying that they can't afford the wounded grounders recovering to fight again. Pike asks Bellamy to think about the people they potentially saved and not those they killed and Bellamy accepts this and takes his jacket back. Leaving the conference room, Bellamy is confronted by Kane and Lincoln, who try to convince Bellamy to see the error of his ways.

Pike has the sick grounder patients at Arkadia "interned", an action that leads to a confrontation between Shawn Gillmer and Lincoln. Bellamy tries unsuccessfully to defuse the situation and Lincoln proceeds to punch Gillmer to the ground. When Bellamy tries to get Lincoln off of Gillmer, he gets an elbow to the face. Lincoln eventually succumbs to arrest after Pike points a gun at Denae, one of the sick grounders.

While Lincoln and the other grounders are being sent to lock up, an outraged Octavia arrives, demanding to know what's going on. Bellamy informs her of the situation but she is furious at him for massacring the grounder force with Pike. Octavia then leads Bellamy to Clarke who has secretly entered Arkadia to talk with him. However, Bellamy is angry at Clarke for leaving her people and believes that she chose the grounders over them, he is further infuriated when Clarke arrogantly tries to tell him "it's over". Clarke tells him that justice was done, that Queen Nia of Azgeda is dead and that Arkadia must "make things right", or Lexa's coalition will wipe them out. After just being betrayed by Echo and previously being betrayed by Lexa, Bellamy doesn't believe peace with the grounders is possible and that if war is inevitable, Pike is the best man to lead the Arkadians. Clarke disagrees and is unable to see the situation from Bellamy's perspective, forgetting that besides from Lincoln, Bellamy has never been on good terms with any of the Grounders except when they had a common enemy. Bellamy harshly reminds Clarke about all the people that died while she was in charge, including the Mountain Men that helped them, and that she was willing to let a bomb drop on his sister. Clarke tearfully apologises and Bellamy replies, "I'm sorry too", before handcuffing Clarke to a table.

Bellamy and Gillmer retrieve Clarke with the intention of escorting her to Pike, but they are waylaid by Octavia who knocks out Gillmer. While Bellamy is distracted, Clarke seizes Gillmer's shock baton and stuns Bellamy with it, Clarke and Octavia then flee Arkadia.

In Bitter Harvest, Bellamy and Pike are walking through a corridor together when they are stopped by Kane, who wishes to discuss the chips Jaha is distributing and the interned grounders. Kane believes they should send the grounders back to their homes, but Bellamy disagrees, calling the grounders a "liability", as they have knowledge of Arkadia's defences and capabilities. Bellamy and Pike then continue on their way to the Chancellor's office for a meeting.

During the meeting, Pike outlines his plan to cultivate the land surrounding Arkadia and plant within the month. The issue of the grounder village in Sector 4 pops up again (as it is situated by the most fertile land), and Bellamy tries to tell Pike that the people there are not a threat. Pike nonetheless points out that they need the land or Arkadia will starve within a year. The people at the meeting, which include Hannah, her son Monty, and Zoe Monroe, then discuss the need to clear the village and Bellamy makes a final plea to Pike to leave the village alone. "What would you prefer?" asks Pike, "die fighting for your home, or starve to death?" Bellamy acquiesces and accepts that the villagers must be driven away.

While Bellamy and the rest of the village strike force gear up, Kane attempts to talk Bellamy out of it. Bellamy, knowing that Kane at least suspects what their mission is, tells him that that they're trying to build a future, not "trying to make peace with people who only understand war". Bellamy then climbs into the armoured personnel carrier, (APV), and then tells Bryan, who's talking to his boyfriend, to get in.

The armoured rover arrives at the village on a rainy night but the team find it deserted, after some hesitation, Bellamy signals for the Arkadians to move in and while searching the village they hear a rider approaching. Fearing it to be a grounder, the group take up defensive positions, but it turns out to be Octavia who yells at Bellamy to get his people out of the village as it's a trap. Just then, a small group of grounder archers shoot a volley of fire arrows into the village, igniting some poison sap traps which the grounders had set up. The smoke of the poisonous sludge is a deadly gas, something which Octavia also warns the group about. Bellamy immediately sounds the retreat and some of his soldiers attempt to hit the archers with rifle fire. The smoke spreads quickly and soon envelops Monroe and Lacroix, a member of farm station, who both succumb to the gas. Heroically, Monty charges back into the smog and is able to carry out Monroe, but it is too late, and Bellamy and the others watch helplessly as she dies.

Bellamy speaks privately with Pike, who asks him how he's holding up. Bellamy says he's been better and Pike tells him how his sister's actions cost the lives of two of their people and caused the soil to become poisoned by ash. Bellamy defends Octavia by saying she tried to warn them, but Pike points out that this was only after she warned the grounders first. Pike knows that Octavia must have been given intelligence from someone inside Arkadia, and both Bellamy and Pike easily deduce that it was Kane. Realising that he can't move against Kane without proof, Pike orders Bellamy to find some and then dismisses him.

In Terms and Conditions, Bellamy climbs to the top of an observation tower with Pike. There they meet Hannah at a radio station, where she informs them that they have lost contact with one of their recon teams while it was on a routine patrol. She tells them that the four-man team's last transmission was that they had been forced to engage hostile grounders. Hannah also says that two other teams also reported grounder contact less than a mile outside Arkadia but managed to get back to safety; Hannah concludes that the grounders are establishing a blockade. Chase, an Arkadia Guard on lookout duty in the tower, spots movement at a treeline which is revealed to be two grounders on horseback heading for Arkadia. Bellamy immediately recognises them as the messengers who had come to Arkadia several months ago demanding Finn Collins be handed over to them. Bellamy and Pike climb down from the tower and order the gates be opened, Bellamy tells the messengers to talk. The Coalition this time demand that Pike be turned over to them to face retribution for the destruction of the Trikru peacekeeping force. In return for handing over Pike, the grounders say they will leave Arkadia alone and stop the blockade. One of the messengers then throws a bundle of human remains at Bellamy's feet, it's the recon team, and the warrior remarks that it took them a long time to die and threatens any Arkadians who try to leave with the same fate. Pike, having heard enough, orders Bellamy back inside the gates, but Bellamy refuses. "Choose the side that's best for your people", one of the messengers says. "I do that every day", an angered Bellamy replies, and then sends a message of his own by drawing his pistol and killing both messengers with it.

In the Chancellor's office, Bellamy, Pike, Hannah and Monty discuss Coalition positions and the shortage of food within Arkadia – with rationing they will nearly be out of supplies in two weeks. Hannah suggests an attack on the blockade, but Pike is more concerned with Kane's insurrection and makes containing him a top priority. Pike orders Bellamy to lock down the prison section so that Kane has no contact with the grounder prisoners, and puts Monty in charge of camp-wide surveillance. When Monty expresses moral reservations about spying on their own people, Pike tells him that he knows that isn't what he signed up to do, but that it is necessary in order to find any traitors.

Later on, after Pike has inspected the armoury, he meets with Bellamy and Hannah to tell them that they don't have enough ammunition for the numerous firefights that can be expected during an extended siege. Bellamy asks about a plan B. Having located the largest grounder encampment in a valley, Pike proposes that they launch an assault with a team in Rover 1 to buy themselves some time. Hannah points out that the grounders can just retreat and regroup over a ridge, but Pike says that is part of the plan as he intends to mine that area before they attack. However, Pike has since found the listening device that was planted by Kane's people and he has meant for the whole battle plan to be overheard so he can catch the rebels when they try to compromise it.

Bellamy answers a radio call from Monty, who has been secretly following Kane. Monty informs him that he believes Kane is up to something and that Jacapo Sinclair is probably part of his plan. Bellamy acknowledges this, and says they will keep an eye on Sinclair.

Bellamy walks into the vehicle bay where a suspicious-looking Kane is sitting reading a book while Sinclair works on the rover which was to be used in the supposed attack on the grounders. Bellamy asks Sinclair what he's doing; who replies that he is fixing the vehicle. Knowing nothing is wrong with the rover, Bellamy asks Sinclair for a work order which he knows he doesn't have. Sinclair, realising that he's been compromised, attempts to flee but is quickly apprehended. Bellamy places him under arrest for treason and then radio's, "that's one down".

Sinclair is taken to a private room to be questioned as to who he was working with. When Pike arrives, Bellamy says Sinclair hasn't said anything, so Pike places the listening device on the table and asks Sinclair about it; who denies any knowledge of the bug. Pike suddenly asks Bellamy for his gun. Surprised and a little concerned, Bellamy obediently hands over his weapon and Pike uses the butt of the pistol to smash the bug. Sinclair, aware of the threatening gesture, still refuses to give up any names, but Bellamy says he will talk eventually and suggests they put him in lock-up. Hannah calls Sinclair a traitor and implies that she believes they should execute him, but Pike refuses and has Sinclair imprisoned with Lincoln and the other grounders.

Bellamy meets with Kane in the vehicle bay and tells him that sabotaging the rover wasn't much of a plan, Kane doesn't deny the allegation and criticises Bellamy for spying on his own people. Kane believes that Pike is a bigger threat to their future than the grounders and tries to convince Bellamy of that, but Bellamy says that Pike's the Chancellor and tells Kane to "do the right thing". Kane all but admits to undermining Pike's leadership when he replies that however way he looks at the situation, he is doing the right thing. Bellamy accuses Kane of causing Monroe's death, and Kane believes that Sinclair will die next as Pike will probably execute him. Bellamy doesn't think Pike would kill Sinclair and Kane urges Bellamy to predict how the situation will end – with Arkadia starving and eventually turning on Pike, and then the grounders finishing them off. Kane says that Pike's policy of taking the fight to the grounders is what got Monroe killed and asks Bellamy to join him against Pike before it's too late, but Bellamy refuses.

After placing a bug in his boyfriend's pocket, Bryan meets with Bellamy and Monty and asks Bellamy if what he did was worth betraying Nate. Bellamy reassures Bryan that it was; since he did it to protect his boyfriend, but Bryan says that maybe Nate needed protection from him.

When arriving at the prison, Bellamy is informed by Chase that Sinclair is ready to talk. While Bellamy and Sinclair are discussing terms they are interrupted by Lincoln who says he will silence the traitor and then throws Sinclair to the ground and proceeds to beat him. Bellamy rushes into the prison to stop Lincoln but it is revealed to be a trick and Lincoln rushes Bellamy, knocking him against a wall and breaking out of the cell with the other grounders. The grounders begin to overpower the prison guards, but reinforcements arrive and suppress the insurrection. Monty, who has been monitoring radio signals, realises that the riot is a distraction and warns Bellamy that Kane is escaping Arkadia with Pike. Bellamy runs to the gate and gets there just in time to prevent Kane from getting out, holding him at gunpoint with a few other guards. Kane submits to arrest and Pike is freed.

Bellamy is present in the interrogation room when Pike decrees that he has the sole jurisdiction to sentence Kane. When given a chance to speak, Kane again urges Pike and his followers to change their views, but Pike remains intransigent and says that giving himself up to the grounders wouldn't bring peace. Pike then sentences Kane to death to the shock and dismay of Bellamy. Once Kane is taken away to the prison, Bellamy questions Pike's decision. Pike tells him that since they are at war, crimes against Arkadia's leadership won't be tolerated and he intends to make Kane an example. Bellamy reluctantly accepts this.

Bellamy meets with Monty, who asks him what to do about Miller and Harper, who they know were also a part of the rebellion. Before Bellamy can answer, Monty's mother interrupts and congratulates both of them for their apprehension of Kane; she then asks if they identified any other of Kane's associates. Perhaps afraid that Nathan and Harper would also be executed, Bellamy says they didn't. "It's not really that hard choosing what's best for your people is it?" says Hannah. "I do it every day", replies Bellamy.

In Stealing Fire, Bellamy visits the prison section with Pike. When Pike decrees that all of the prisoners will be executed for their part in the riot, Lincoln begs Pike to spare the other grounders and to only kill him, as he was their leader. Bellamy also advises clemency for the grounders and says that all they did was run through an open door, and that he would have done the same had their roles been reversed. Pike takes their pleas into consideration and reneges on his previous decision, deciding that only Kane, Lincoln and Sinclair will be executed. Pike then leaves, but Bellamy stays a moment longer to take a last thoughtful look at Lincoln and the others.

Bellamy and Monty meet with Nathan Miller and Harper in a cabin and carefully defuse the bug in Miller's jacket. Bellamy informs the duo of the impending executions and tells Miller and Harper that he and Monty want to help them in their plan to break Lincoln, Kane and Sinclair out of Arkadia in order to save their lives. Harper and Miller distrust Bellamy and deny that any plan exists. Not wishing to waste time, Bellamy just tells them to get a message to Octavia to meet him at the dropship in an hour.

Octavia shows up at the dropship riding Helios and glances around suspiciously, perhaps expecting a trap. Bellamy tells her he's glad she came and reassures her that he's alone and there to help. Octavia moves as if to embrace her brother, but sedates him instead. Bellamy awakens chained to the wall of a cave with Octavia and Indra standing over him. Indra believes it was risky to bring him to their hideout and that Octavia should be in Arkadia helping the prisoners. Bellamy warns them that Pike's security has increased and that it's unlikely that she can get inside without being apprehended, he asks that they release him as his influence with Pike may be the only way to stop the executions. "You're the reason they need saving", Octavia tells him angrily. Bellamy admits that may be true but says Octavia still needs him, Octavia tells him that for the first time in her life, that's not true, and she leaves for Arkadia.

Bellamy appeals to Indra to let him go so that he can assist his sister, saying again that being trusted by Pike, he can help their cause. Indra reminds Bellamy of how he earned Pike's trust – by massacring her fellow warriors, and she asks him why he spared her on the battlefield. Bellamy replies that it's the same reason she hasn't killed him yet: because of how Octavia cares for both of them. Indra refuses to release Bellamy, much to his frustration.

While waiting, Bellamy and Indra hear a horn being blown, a worried Indra informs Bellamy that it means a new Commander has risen, meaning that Lexa must have died. Indra goes to leave for Polis and Bellamy accuses her of abandoning his sister, Indra tells him she considers Octavia as one of her own people, and asks Bellamy to tell Octavia she's sorry for leaving.

In Fallen, Bellamy is sitting alone in the cave when Miller, Harper, Bryan, Octavia, Jacapo SinclairEric Jackson and Kane enter after breaking the latter two out of Arkadia. Bellamy realises Lincoln is missing and is informed that he was executed by Pike. Bellamy tries to apologise to his sister, but distraught and furious, Octavia beats him till his face is a bloody mess. Kane and Miller both attempt to stop Octavia but Bellamy tells them to back off as he feels he deserves the punishment and his sister needs to vent her rage. "You're dead to me!" Octavia tells him when she's done, and Bellamy looks devastated.

Bellamy listens as the others discuss their situation. Bryan (who was persuaded by Miller to turn on Pike and join Kane's faction) is concerned that they may be too close to the grounder blockade, but Kane reassures him that if they stay away from the grounder lines, then they should be safe. The group then talk about the need to rid Arkadia of Pike, Kane is convinced that that is all it will take for the Coalition to lift the blockade and reinstall the Sky People as the thirteenth clan. Hearing this, Bellamy shakes his head in disbelief, mistrusting the grounder terms and believing Kane to be naive, but remaining silent. Sinclair is also sceptical of Kane's trust in the grounders, noting that with Lexa dead - as Bellamy previously informed them of the horns blowing and what they signified – how can they know that the new Commander will honour the terms. Kane avoids addressing that potentially problematic issue for the time being, and the conversation moves on to Clarke, who is effectively Skaikru's ambassador to Polis, with Miller suggesting that she may no longer be safe with Lexa dead. Knowing there is nothing to be done to help Clarke in their current situation; Kane and Octavia state their first priority is to assassinate Pike. At that moment Monty tries to contact Bellamy on his radio, Bellamy recognises a code phrase that Monty uses, which says to switch radio channels so that they can speak without being listened in on. Bellamy urges the group to change radio channels and answer Monty's message, Kane does so and Monty informs him that he is on the run because Pike knows he helped break the prisoners out of Arkadia. Kane instructs Monty to rendezvous at the 100's dropship and Harper warns him it could be a ruse by Pike. Octavia, fairly certain, (and hoping) that it is indeed a trap, proposes that they bring her brother along to trade for Monty if necessary. Kane, not wishing to put their whole group at risk decides that only he himself, Bellamy and Octavia will march to the dropship.

Cautiously approaching the dropship, Octavia senses something is wrong and holds her sword to Bellamy's neck, demanding that whoever is in the dropship to come outside. Monty emerges – with Pike holding a gun to his head, revealing that it was indeed a trap. Pike reveals that he isn't alone by having a sharpshooter put a shot at his rival's feet, ordering them to surrender, Octavia on the other hand urges Kane to shoot Pike, but Kane's line of fire is impeded by Monty, who Pike uses as a human shield. Kane, fearing for Monty, drops his gun, but Octavia stubbornly refuses to back down, so Pike radios his gunner to put a shot in Octavia's leg. Hearing this, Bellamy overpowers his sister himself to prevent her from being wounded, Pike signals his escort, which comprises Shawn Gillmer and three other soldiers, to come forward and take the rebels into custody. Pike, somewhat mistrusting of Bellamy due to the suspicious circumstances of his capture, asks Bellamy to prove he is still with him. Bellamy immediately replies that he knows where the rest of Kane's allies are hiding in their cave and offers to lead Pike to them, much to Octavia's fury. Not having enough people in his escort to take the prisoner's back to Arkadia and to assault the hideout at the same time, Pike decides to take Kane, Octavia and Monty with him as he follows Bellamy to the remaining rebels.

Trudging through the forest, Pike question's Bellamy's route and is concerned that it is taking them too close to the blockade line. Bellamy simply explains that is the point, as Kane hoped the close proximity to the grounders would prevent any of Pike's search party's from finding them. Bellamy negotiates with Pike and is able to grant his sister immunity from any punishment for her crimes. Pike begins to warn Bellamy of what might happen if Octavia should get into trouble again, but Bellamy cuts him off saying that she won't. "My sister, my responsibility", Bellamy reminisces.

Advancing further towards the grounder's boundary, Pike becomes ever more wary, but Bellamy is able to convince him to carry on. Suddenly, a war horn sounds - as Bellamy has intentionally walked the group to the grounders. Pike attempts to order a retreat, but Bellamy seizes his sidearm, and pointing it at Pike's head, demands that he drop his weapon. Gillmer moves to intervene, but Octavia knocks him to the ground, while the remainder of Pike's escort are too stunned (or useless) to do anything to save their Chancellor. Bellamy has Octavia translate a message to the grounders, saying that he has brought them Pike in exchange for them lifting the blockade. Grounder archers kill Pike's three standing soldiers and surround the group. Octavia, seeing her chance for retribution, picks up a knife and attempts to kill Pike, but Kane stops her, saying Pike needs to face grounder justice. Pike, hearing this, advances on Bellamy, but takes an arrow to the shoulder and is then beaten unconscious by the grounders. Kane asks to accompany the grounders to Polis with the captured Chancellor, but before he leaves, he asks Bellamy why he turned Pike over: for his sister's sake, or because he believed it was the right thing to do. After Kane's departure, Monty informs Bellamy that it was his mother that turned him in, Bellamy reassures Monty that he will work things out with his mother because they are family. Meanwhile, Gillmer regains consciousness, but Octavia stabs him in the chest and kills him, saying the grounder words for, "blood must have blood".

In Nevermore, back in the cave hideout, Bellamy is no longer a prisoner of the rebels after assisting them in the apprehension of Pike. The group receive a radio call from Jasper who tells them Arkadia is not safe and that he is on his way to the cave in a rover. While discussing Jasper's surprising message with Sinclair and Monty, Bellamy notices Octavia begin to pack supplies with the intention of leaving to recover Lincoln's body. Bellamy counsels his sister that she shouldn't go as Arkadia isn't safe, but Octavia believes Jasper's transmission sounded insane and still resolves to depart. When Bellamy asks her what more he has to do to earn back her trust, Octavia scornfully tells him to "bring Lincoln back", and angrily expresses to her brother that she knows he only turned Pike in to save her, not because he disagreed with the Chancellor. Bellamy defends Pike's policies against the grounders, saying the army that was massacred could have turned hostile and accusing the Coalition of besieging Arkadia. Octavia tells Bellamy that his sense of loss over his girlfriend and the other people they have lost caused him to "lash out" and consequently get more people killed. Octavia goes to leave but at that moment, Jasper arrives at the cave entrance in the rover with Clarke and an unconscious Raven Reyes. Bellamy inquires to whether Jasper was followed; Jasper responds that he doesn't know and urges the group to get Raven in the cave before she awakens. Clarke convinces Octavia to stay with them and the group enters the cave, Jasper explains the situation: Jaha is distributing "chips", that when swallowed causes the recipient to lose their memories and see a strange woman named A.L.I.E., Jasper continues by explaining that when someone has been chipped, A.L.I.E. can control them and that Raven was working on destroying her chip by using one of the delinquents old condition monitoring wristbands. A.L.I.E., however, had Jaha and her other minions destroy the wristbands and forced Raven to cut her own wrists. Upon hearing this, Clarke shows Jasper the Flame asking if Jaha's chips look the same, Jasper replies that they are not exactly identical. At that moment Raven wakes, sees the Flame and then flees from the cave. The group pursue Raven and are able to sedate her before she is able to inform A.L.I.E. of her location, regardless of this, Clarke says they all must leave because she knows where they can obtain a wristband.

Leaving Miller, Bryan and Harper at the cave, Clarke directs the rest of the group to a grounder trading post run by Niylah. When the group arrive Niylah is not pleased to see the Sky People due to the fact that her father was one of the grounder warriors killed by Pike's men during the massacre. Niylah refuses to grant Clark access to her home so Bellamy threatens her with his firearm while the others take Raven inside to the bedroom and restrain her as she wakes up again. With Raven contained, Clarke comes to explain the situation to Niylah and Bellamy gives them some privacy, though he remains suspicious of the grounder. Eventually, Niylah leaves to retrieve a wristband from her stores and Clarke asks Bellamy if he is okay, realizing that he will be feeling guilty over the part he played in the death of Niylah's father, but Bellamy replies that he is fine.

Having obtained a wristband, Clarke and Bellamy question Monty and Sinclair on how Raven was planning on destroying her chip. They explain that the wristband could be used to generate an electro-magnetic pulse (EMP), to destroy the circuitry of A.L.I.E.'s chip, but that an electro-magnet is required. Knowing they can get an electro-magnet from the delinquent's dropship, Monty and Octavia take the rover to go salvage it.

When Raven dislocates her own shoulder and begins to get free, Jasper calls for aid and Clarke and Bellamy help to restrain her. Jasper, speaking to A.L.I.E. through Raven, discovers that A.L.I.E. wants to possess the Flame, which is her version 2.0. Clarke threatens to destroy the Flame if A.L.I.E. harms Raven; consequently, Raven ceases her struggling and allows Clarke to reset her shoulder. Bellamy warns Clarke that while Raven is under A.L.I.E.'s control, she will never stop trying to get away. Subsequently, it is decided that someone has to keep a watch on Raven at all times and Clarke volunteers for the first watch, to which Jasper yells angrily at Clarke that she doesn't give the orders; as he still hasn't forgiven her for the death of Maya. Bellamy orders Jasper from the room and then follows him out.

Jasper asks Bellamy if he is okay with Clarke coming back after what she did at Mount Weather and then abandoning them: Bellamy defends Clarke by saying that she just wants to save Raven. "Guess she thinks Raven is worth saving", a scornful Jasper replies. Bellamy tells Jasper to pull himself together and to not let his anger get in the way of what they need to do, but Jasper throws it back in Bellamy's face by reminding Bellamy of what his own anger caused him to do to the grounder army.

Bellamy enters Ravens room when he hears Clarke yelling at Raven. Clarke, having let A.L.I.E. get to her, is herded from the room by Bellamy.

Outside the room, Bellamy tends to Clarkes arm, which was bitten by Raven. "I let her get to me", admits Clarke. "You don't say", replies Bellamy as he wraps a bandage round her arm. Bellamy advises Clarke to take a break while he goes to babysit Raven.

While Bellamy and Jasper are watching Raven, she begins to taunt them and eventually provokes Jasper to an angry outburst after mentioning Maya. After Bellamy dismisses Jasper, Raven continues speaking to Bellamy, reminding him of the people who died because of him in Mount Weather and the culling. Raven even tells Bellamy his mother died because of him and calls her a whore, but still Bellamy doesn't break, although he endures Raven's monologue with obvious discomfort. Raven goes on about Gina and how Bellamy 'avenged' her by being a part of Pike's massacre of the grounder army. Unfortunately, this latter part is overheard by Niylah who rushes into the room and punches Bellamy in the face for his part in killing her father. Clarke and Jasper sweep into the room to remove Niylah, but the group realise that it is too late and with Raven having seen Niylah, A.L.I.E. knows where they are. Bellamy, furious that A.L.I.E. was able to get the better of him and believing that much of what Raven told him was true, grabs his coat and heads outside to blow off some steam.

Bellamy vents his rage outside and Niylah confronts him. Bellamy eventually apologises for his part in the death of her father, "people like you always are", Niylah says. At that moment, Monty and Octavia arrive in the rover with the part they need for the EMP, and Bellamy immediately realises that Monty is upset about something.

The group converge at Raven's bedside and Sinclair and Monty begin to set up the EMP device. Upon seeing the device, Raven begins viciously bashing her head on the bed frame and Bellamy realises she is trying to kill herself before the group can disconnect the chip. While the group hold Raven down, and restrains her head, Bellamy is able to get the wristband on Raven's arm, but when they try to activate the EMP nothing happens - Sinclair informs them that the battery isn't strong enough. Bellamy and Monty run outside to get the rover's battery and one of A.L.I.E.'s drones appear which Bellamy promptly shoots down. They rush the battery inside and use it to fry A.L.I.E.'s chip, but Raven passes out.

While Clarke is distracted tending to Raven, Jasper seizes the Flame with the intention of smashing it, believing it to be just as malignant as A.L.I.E., but Clarke stops him by telling him that Lexa's consciousness is inside. Clarke then remembers how Titus removed the A.I. from Lexa's neck and proceeds to do so with Raven, revealing broken pieces of the chip in Raven's blood. Raven wakes up after the chip is removed from her system and Monty realizes that he could have saved his mother, instead of killing her. Bellamy reminds the group that A.L.I.E. knows where they are and that they have to leave.

Outside as they are about to embark on the rover, Bellamy questions the decision he made to side with Pike and asks Clarke what you do when you don't think you are one of the good guys. "Maybe there are no good guys", Clarke tells him. Putting Raven in the rover, Clarke asks her why A.L.I.E. wanted her to kill herself. Raven answers that it is because she knows that the only thing that can stop A.L.I.E. is the Flame, and that is why A.L.I.E. wants it.

In Demons, Bellamy is driving the rover while the group discusses Becca's diary (which Clarke had brought with her from Polis) and the need to find Luna, the last nightblood, so that she can merge with the Flame (A.L.I.E. 2.0) to help them stop A.L.I.E. 1.0. In order to find Luna, the team need to retrieve Lincoln's diary from Arkadia. As the rover nears Arkadia, Bellamy warns the others to stay alert and then attempts to contact Miller, Bryan and Harper via radio, but there is no reply.

The group arrive at Arkadia but find it deserted; Bellamy again tries unsuccessfully to contact their missing people. As they move further into the camp, the group comes across a blood stain on the ground and everyone realises that it is the spot where Lincoln was executed. Octavia, upon seeing the blood, just tells the others to find Lincoln's book and to get out of the place. The rover is driven into the hangar bay and Bellamy orders it to be turned around in case they need to make a quick getaway. The area looks as if people simply stopped what they were doing and left, Bellamy orders everyone to load the rover up with supplies and to find Lincoln's book as quickly as possible.

Bellamy searches the armoury, finding there are still plenty of guns and ammunition, then radios for the others to join him.

While waiting for the others to join him outside at the armoury, Bellamy sees Clarke running towards him in distress. Bellamy asks Clarke what is wrong and she replies in one word: Emerson.

With his weapon at the ready, Bellamy leads Clarke through a hallway in Arkadia and asks her where Monty is - Clarke replies that Emerson took him but doesn't know why. Bellamy tries to contact his sister and Jasper, but receives no response; he and Clarke conclude that Emerson probably has them too, as well as Harper, Brian, and Miller. Clarke feels that the situation is all her fault and tells Bellamy of how she had a chance to kill Emerson in Polis but let him go. Hearing Bellamy's radio call, Raven contacts him, asking what is wrong and Clarke informs her of the situation and tells her and Sinclair to lock down the hangar bay.

Arriving at the hangar bay, Clarke and Bellamy immediately realize that something is wrong as the power in the hangar bay has been disabled and the sounds of a scuffle are heard inside. Unable to get through the inner doors to the hangar bay, Bellamy and Clarke head around to the outer doors. Entering the hangar bay, the pair sees a body on the ground which is revealed to be Sinclair: who has been stabbed and killed by Emerson. Raven has also been captured by Emerson. Bellamy and Clarke deduce that Emerson is holding their people somewhere and guess that that place may be the airlock where Emerson himself was once imprisoned. Knowing Emerson will by now have one of their radios, Clarke contacts him, offering to turn herself over to him in return for letting her friends go. Emerson accepts Clarke's offer and demands that she shows herself at the airlock with no weapons. Clarke attempts to give Bellamy the Flame as she fully intends to let Emerson kill her in order to save her friends, but Bellamy tells her it is a stupid thing to do and suggests instead that Clarke should distract Emerson so he can shoot him.

Clarke approaches the airlock while Bellamy hangs back around the corner of the hallway. Clarke demands that Emerson release his hostages, but Emerson says that he won't until Bellamy shows himself first. When Clarke tries to deny that Bellamy is with her, Emerson beats Octavia to make Bellamy show himself and then orders him inside the airlock while threatening to cut Octavia's throat. Bellamy disarms and enters the airlock despite Clarke telling him not to, Emerson then prompts Bellamy to handcuff himself to the wall. Emerson gets Clarke to kneel and he then exits the airlock and closes the door. Grabbing Clarke and pushing her against the glass of the airlock door, Emerson tells Clarke that he intends to kill her friends in retribution for all of his people who she killed at Mount Weather and she is going to watch them die – Emerson then pushes the button to vent the oxygen from the airlock. Bellamy and the others inside gradually begin to succumb to suffocation and lose consciousness. Clarke however, is able to implant Emerson with the Flame, which kills him as his blood isn't compatible with it. Clarke then opens the airlock door and saves her people.

Having survived Emerson, Bellamy finds Lincoln's body and carries it to the rest of the group outside the walls of Arkadia. Octavia mourns over Lincoln's body and Bellamy accepts that he was partly responsible for his death. The group build a funeral pyre for both Lincoln and Sinclair and burn their bodies together. Octavia gives Bellamy a long, cold stare and then tells the others it is time to go and that she will retrieve the map which shows the way to find Luna.

Bellamy finishes loading the rover and then asks why Raven isn't ready. Raven replies that she is staying in Arkadia to analyse A.L.I.E.'s code (which was previously downloaded into the ark mainframe) and that she may be able to find a 'backdoor'. Miller, Harper, Bryan and Monty also opt to remain in Arkadia to assist Raven, while Jasper chooses to accompany Bellamy, Clarke and Octavia to find Luna.

In Join or Die, Bellamy drives the rover, Octavia looks out the window, and Clarke fingers the Flame, while Jasper reads Lincoln's map. As the map has no distances or scale, Jasper notes that it may be a long journey to Luna's settlement; Bellamy replies that they at least know they are travelling in the right direction. Jasper recommends that they stop to recharge the rover's battery, but he is over-ruled by the others who wish to get to Luna as quickly as possible. Jasper, ever the pessimist, questions how willing Luna will be to assist them, but Octavia reassures him that Lincoln spoke highly of Luna's desire to help people. The rover's path becomes obstructed and it is forced to stop, Bellamy is about to start back-tracking to find a way around, but Octavia jumps from the rover and proceeds forward on foot with the others following suit. The group doesn't advance far before they hear the sound of running water, Clarke and Octavia run towards the sound and Bellamy, realising they may be nearing their destination, warns them that there may be hostiles ahead. Octavia angrily (and unknowingly) insists that any of Luna's people they meet won't be hostile and demands that her brother put down his weapon. Bellamy runs after the others as they follow a small river down to a shoreline. Surprisingly, the group find that they haven't arrived at a village – the only signs of human habitation being a ring of stones built into cairns on a small peninsula. Not knowing their next move, the group despair that they have failed to find Luna.

The group set up camp, intending to spend the night at the ring of stones and while Octavia starts a fire, Bellamy brings back firewood. Discussing their options, Octavia recommends that they search the shoreline in the morning. Bellamy agrees with his sister, saying that Lincoln wouldn't have put their location on the map if it wasn't important. Bellamy reaches for Lincoln's diary but Octavia snatches it off him, telling him not to touch it. Bellamy asks his sister how long she will remain angry with him and she tells him she can't even look at him because she sees Lincoln being executed when she does. "I didn't kill Lincoln", states Bellamy, but Octavia angrily tells him that he is the reason Lincoln was killed. Bellamy defends himself by reminding Octavia that he came to her offering to help and that she should have trusted him. When Bellamy gets no response, he goes alone to take a walk along the beach.

Clarke comes to console Bellamy, who is still standing on the shoreline away from the others. Bellamy at first says to Clarke that he doesn't need help from her, but eventually opens up and tells her that he fears his sister will never love him again. Clarke consoles Bellamy by telling him that although he has blood on his hands, none of it is Lincoln's - "some of it is", denies Bellamy. Clarke reminds Bellamy that he didn't want Lincoln to die and that Octavia will eventually forgive him, she asks if he will forgive himself. "Forgiveness is hard for us", Bellamy replies. He admits to Clarke that he was angry with her for abandoning them after Mount Weather's destruction and then says that he doesn't want to feel that way anymore. Clarke tells Bellamy that he isn't the only one seeking forgiveness, but that they need each other and that together they will defeat A.L.I.E.; Clarke and Bellamy then embrace. It is at this moment that grounders in diving gear emerge from the water and ambush the pair, throwing them to the ground and threatening them with crossbow-harpoon weapons. The grounders, bringing with them, move on Octavia and Jasper, who quickly surrender. The grounder's leader asks why they signaled, (referring to the campfire): Octavia replies that Lincoln sent them and that they seek safe passage. Upon hearing Lincoln's name, the grounders reduce their hostility and their leader hands out vials of liquid to the Sky People; when asked what the vials are, the leader replies: "safe passage". Octavia understands what is expected and drinks the substance immediately, saying that she trusts Lincoln. The grounder leader tells them that if only Octavia drinks then only she goes. Jasper then drinks the potion and both he and Octavia lose consciousness. Not wanting to be left behind, Clarke and Bellamy both drink their drugs together, lie down, and then black-out.

During a flashback, Bellamy is seen on the Ark as the 100 are embarking onto the dropship. Wearing a guard's uniform, he slips passed Marcus and Abby and takes a hold of Roma, escorting her onto the dropship and then stowing away.

When Bellamy, Clarke, Octavia and Jasper awaken, they find themselves inside an old shipping container and without their weapons. Octavia bangs on the side of the container: it is opened and a figure enters who the group recognise to be Luna (as they have seen Lincoln's sketch of her). When Luna asks where Lincoln is, Octavia informs her that he is dead. Clarke tells Luna that Lincoln said that she would help their cause and that she is the last Nightblood as Lexa is also dead. Clarke offers Luna the Flame, but Luna refuses to become the next commander as she has become a pacifist. The group, stunned that they have come so far only to be met by disappointment, follow after Luna as she leaves the shipping container and it is revealed that they are on the helipad of an oil rig.

In Red Sky at Morning, Bellamy, Clarke, Octavia and Jasper are sitting around an indoor fire listening to Shay, a member of Floukru, (Luna's clan), telling a shark story while they wait to meet with Luna again. When Luna and her partner, Derrick enter the room, Clarke and Bellamy rush to meet her, hoping she has changed her mind about taking the Flame. In this, they are disappointed, as Luna only tells them that the boat will return to the rig at nightfall, upon which time they will be taken back to shore. Clarke and Bellamy attempt to express the threat of A.L.I.E. to Luna, but she just tells them that whatever the danger is, it won't reach her people on their oil rig. Luna then leaves Clarke and Bellamy and goes to return Lincoln's diary to Octavia.

While waiting to leave Floukru's oil rig, Bellamy sits with his sister and Clarke. Spotting Jasper talking with Shay, Bellamy remarks that Jasper is smiling for once. Clarke looks over at Luna and Derrick, who are relaxing together, and Bellamy, reading Clarke's thoughts, tells her to let the situation go. "We can't just leave", says Clarke. Octavia tells her that they don't have a choice, but Clarke replies that there may be a final course of action they can take. When Bellamy inquires as to what that course may be, Clarke proposes that they forcibly implant the Flame in Luna. Octavia immediately objects to the proposal, reminding Clarke that placing the Flame in someone against their will was what they did to Emerson. Bellamy is also reluctant towards Clarke's plan and says they can still go back to Arkadia and try and fight A.L.I.E. on their own. Clarke reminds Bellamy that they will be fighting their own people and that although it may seem harsh to force the Flame on Luna, the code on the Flame may be the only thing that can save their people. Unable to give Clarke a better idea, Bellamy agrees to her plan, saying that if he and Octavia stay where they are then Clarke has a greater chance of getting close enough to Luna to implant her. Octavia is still morally reserved in her decision to aid Clarke, stating that even A.L.I.E. gives people a choice. "We gave Luna a choice", Bellamy states, "she said no".

Clarke fails to get the Flame in Luna and returns to Bellamy and Octavia. At nightfall the trio are escorted by Derrick to the helipad from where it is intended that they be lowered in a shipping container down to a boat and returned to the mainland. Bellamy asks his sister where Jasper is and she replies that he is saying goodbye to Shay. When they arrive at the container, Luna is waiting to say farewell and tells the Captain of the boat (who has just arrived back from the mainland with supplies) that he has to make another trip to return the Sky People to shore. Luna is about to give the Flame back to Clarke when the Captain and his two men suddenly attack Luna and seize the Flame, locking Bellamy, Clarke and Octavia in the container. At first unsure as to what has just happened, Bellamy is the first to realise that A.L.I.E. must have chipped some of Luna's people.

Bellamy tries to shoulder his way through the doors of the container, but is unable to break out. Octavia asks how it was possible for A.L.I.E. to even find the rig – Bellamy recalls the drone at Niylah's house and realises that there must have been more of the flying machines following them.

Bellamy guesses that A.L.I.E. intends to unlock the Flame by placing it in Luna, but Clarke reminds him that A.L.I.E. would have to chip Luna first in order to be in control. Desperate to escape the container and save Luna, Clarke bangs helplessly on the doors hoping that one of Luna's unchipped people will hear her and let them out.

Having given up trying to escape the container, the trio sit waiting in the dark. "This place was safe until we got here", laments Octavia. Suddenly, the door of the container is opened by Shay and the group rush outside to find that their saviour is mortally wounded by an arrow in her back. Before she dies, Shay tells Bellamy and the others where they can find Luna.

Octavia rushes into the machine room (where Shay told them to go), despite Bellamy urging her to be careful. Entering the compartment, Bellamy and the others see that Luna has freed herself; killing the Captain and his two chipped men and mourning over Derrick's body (who she was also forced to kill after he too was also chipped). Octavia goes to free Jasper, who has been tied up in the room, while Bellamy checks on Adria, another of Luna's people.

During the start of a funeral service for Luna's deceased people, Bellamy warns his companions that any of the other members of Floukru could be chipped and that they'd never know. Clarke, now sure that Luna will accept the Flame since she has seen what A.L.I.E. can do, replies that any chipped grounders will make a move before A.L.I.E. 2.0 is placed in Luna. Luna approaches the Sky People and provides them with drink, telling them the ceremony will soon begin. Clarke gives her condolences and implores Luna to see that they are facing an enemy that will do anything to win. Luna replies that her people died needlessly and that she won't let that happen again; she then voices a toast to her dead people. "You believe that to stop an enemy that will stop at nothing", says Luna after they have drunk, "you must stop at nothing: how is that different to 'blood must have blood'?" Realizing that Luna still has no intention of ascending and would rather remain hidden away on her oil rig, Octavia begins to protest – only to collapse from the sedative in her drink. Bellamy, Clarke and Jasper all follow suit and drop unconscious to the floor.

Bellamy is the first to recover from the drug's effect, watching over Clarke, Octavia and Jasper as they awaken. True to her word, Luna has returned all their weapons and belongings to them (including the Flame) and delivered them back to the ring of stones. The group look out to sea. "Now what?" asks Bellamy.

In Perverse Instantiation (Part 1), Bellamy checks the solar panel on the Rover and informs Octavia, Clarke and Jasper that the battery is almost charged and that they need to pack up and get ready to leave. Clarke is frustrated that they haven't found a Nightblood to put the Flame into and wants to keep searching for one, but Bellamy and the others are in favour of returning to Arkadia to regroup with their friends. Fed up that her companions aren't supporting her option, Clarke goes to take a walk by herself to calm down. Bellamy is unsure of whether or not to follow Clarke and is advised not to by Jasper who tells him to let Clarke "cool off".

Bellamy, having decided to follow Clarke into the woods after all, discovers that Roan, Azgeda's new King, (and who also happens to be the bounty hunter who previously captured Clarke and stabbed Bellamy in the leg), is with her. Roan has disarmed Clarke and taken the Flame from her with the intention of ascending the new Azgeda Commander, Ontari, but Bellamy holds him at gunpoint. Clarke informs Bellamy that Roan is coming with them and both Bellamy and Roan inquire as to why. Clarke explains that they both want the same thing – to give ascend Ontari as she is the only Nightblood they know who may help them to stop A.L.I.E. by unlocking the Flame. Bellamy asks Clarke how she knows Roan isn't chipped; Clarke replies that Roan saved her from one of A.L.I.E.'s minions and he wouldn't have done so if he were chipped. Just to be sure, Bellamy shoots Roan in the arm and knocks him unconscious with the butt of his pistol. As Roan had shown pain at being shot in the arm (and A.L.I.E.'s soldiers don't feel pain), Bellamy is also convinced that the King isn't chipped.

Bellamy and the others arrive back in Arkadia with Roan and inform the rest of the group that Luna rejected them and that the new plan is to use King Roan to get into Polis and put the Flame in Ontari. Bellamy, Miller and Bryan escort Roan to lock-up.

Clarke and Bellamy come to talk to Roan and Bellamy apologizes for shooting him in the arm. "Makes us even", replies Roan. Bellamy and Clarke then inform Roan of the danger that A.L.I.E. poses and that it is imperative that they work together to try and capture and unchip Ontari. Roan agrees to assist them.

Bellamy and the others load the Rover up with equipment and Miller shows him the knock-out gas grenades from Mount Weather which they plan to use to sedate Ontari and the other chipped warriors. Raven passes Bellamy an EMP device she has made to unchip Ontari before she receives the Flame, saying that the device will only work on one person. Raven and Monty are once again to remain in Arkadia and attempt to access A.L.I.E.'s code from Alpha station's computers; Jasper and Harper also opt to remain in Arkadia. Bellamy and his team then embrace their friends and wish them luck before leaving in the Rover.

Bellamy drives the Rover to the outskirts of Polis where everyone disembarks to go the rest of the way on foot. Roan convinces Clarke to give him the Flame as it is vital to their plan that A.L.I.E. sees that he has it. Clarke only agrees to let Roan have the Flame provided she accompany him by looking like his prisoner, an idea to which Bellamy objects. Speaking to Clarke alone, Bellamy asks whether she is willing to trust Roan with her life; Clarke admits that she doesn't but reminds Bellamy that he'll be there covering her the entire time and that she trusts him.

Bellamy, Octavia, Miller and Bryan enter Polis by the hidden tunnel and take up firing positions overlooking where Clarke and Roan will lure Ontari and the chipped soldiers into a courtyard. Bellamy is the first to spot Clarke and Roan, and reminds the others that Roan will signal when he sees Ontari and that's when they will deploy the gas and capture the Commander, he also reminds them that they should try not to kill anyone who is chipped as they are not their enemy. Bellamy flashes a light to inform Clarke that he is in position and Roan then shows the chipped people that he has the Flame and demands that Ontari come to claim it. However, it is Jaha that comes to claim the Flame from Roan, and Bellamy realises that something is wrong. Roan becomes surrounded by A.L.I.E.'s people and Bellamy gives the order to deploy to gas. Suddenly, Bellamy and the others are overwhelmed and captured by a group of chipped grounders and Sky People lead by Chase, an Arkadian Guard, who has entered the room behind them and ambushed them.

Down in the tunnels, Bellamy watches helplessly as Chase beats Miller in an attempt to get him to take the chip. Suddenly, Chase stops and orders that Bellamy be taken to the tower; Bellamy is manhandled away by two chipped minions despite Octavia's protestations. However, a voice in the tunnel ahead advises Bellamy to "hit the deck". Recognising the newcomer as Murphy, Bellamy drops to the ground and urges his friends to do the same. Automatic weapons open fire from the shadows behind Murphy and kill Chase and the other chipped people, (including a member of the 100) and Bellamy gets to his feet. It is revealed that the gunners are Pike and Indra; Pike approaches Bellamy and cuts his bonds, asking if he's okay. Bellamy is surprised to see Pike and Indra working together, but says nothing of it and goes to assist Bryan. Octavia however, questions Indra as to why she is working with Pike; Indra replies that they need every fighter they can get. Octavia then informs Indra that Pike executed Lincoln – overhearing this and fearing that Octavia and Indra may attempt to attack Pike, Bellamy reassures his sister that Indra is right and that they need everyone who isn't chipped to be able to fight. Murphy urges the group to leave, but Bellamy tells him and everyone else that they need to stay and get to the top of the tower to rescue Clarke, retrieve the Flame and capture Ontari. Octavia points out that if they get to the top then they will be trapped there, but Bellamy replies that if they get everything they need to stop A.L.I.E. then they won't have to fight their way down. Pike hands Bellamy a pistol and everyone agrees to the plan – even Murphy.

The group approach the lift and Pike shoots and kills the two chipped grounders at the winch. Bellamy angrily tells Pike that he shouldn't have killed the guards as they were being controlled and not the enemy, but Pike simply replies that they were in their way. Bellamy and Murphy are to go in the elevator and Bellamy orders that once they get to the top, the others should destroy the lift and climb up after them, destroying the ladder along the way. Bellamy, concerned that his sister may try to harm Pike, asks if she is coming in the elevator, but Octavia decides to stay at the bottom in case something goes wrong there.

In the lift, Murphy points out that A.L.I.E. already knows that they're coming and will be waiting for them, but Bellamy says their plan will work. "Why are you here?" Bellamy asks. At first, Murphy claims that he is just trying to stay alive, but Bellamy disbelieves the answer and so Murphy grudgingly admits that he wants to save someone he cares about too.

Suddenly, long before Bellamy and Murphy reach the top floor, the elevator comes to a halt and the pair realise something must have gone wrong with their allies down at the winch. "Well that's not good", observes Murphy. Several of A.L.I.E.'s minions converge on the elevator doors, attempting to pry them open, while Bellamy struggles to keep them closed. Not wishing to use guns on people who are being mind-controlled, Murphy uses a shock baton on two of the chipped warriors as the doors are forced open, but the others keep coming; grabbing hold of Bellamy and starting to pull him from the lift. Murphy is able to stun one of the assailants and yanks Bellamy back into the elevator. Bellamy kicks another of the attackers away and then, with Murphy, tries to close the doors again. Yet another chipped warrior tries to get through the doors and Murphy gives him a jab with the stun baton. One of the attackers gets a hold of Murphy's leg and trips him on his back, while Bellamy continues to attempt to hold back the others, but one of A.L.I.E.'s troops is able to leap through the doors on top of Murphy as the elevator begins to move upwards again. Bellamy is finally able to get the doors closed after giving a final grounder a kick to the face and then turns to help Murphy, who is being strangled by the chipped soldier that had gotten inside the lift. Bellamy pulls the man off of Murphy and starts to fight him, but because the man is chipped, he feels no pain and punches Bellamy into a corner. Murphy gets to his feet and in turn, pulls the man away from Bellamy, wrestling him into the side of the elevator. Not being able to hold the chipped Sky Person for long, Murphy urges Bellamy to shoot him. Bellamy draws his pistol and hesitates for only a moment before shooting the Arker in the face. Exhausted, Bellamy helps Murphy to his feet.

Preparing for the imminent ambush which A.L.I.E.'s people will have laid for them at the top, Bellamy and Murphy don gas masks and climb through a service hatch on top of the elevator. When the elevator reaches its destination, the chipped warriors inspect the empty lift and Bellamy and Murphy use knock-out gas on them. The pair moves through the gas, weapons at the ready and Murphy leads Bellamy to the throne room where they find Clarke tied up, Abby being hanged, and Jaha about to bash Ontari's skull in. Clarke yells at Bellamy to stop Jaha, so for the second time in his life, Bellamy shoots the former Chancellor while Murphy goes to save Clarke's mother. Jaha is only wounded by the rifle shot and so Bellamy runs over and whacks him unconscious with the stock of his gun. Bellamy frees Clarke while Murphy reveals that Abby is still alive; Clarke then has Bellamy fetch the Flame from Jaha. Ontari, who is badly wounded from the one hit that was dealt to her by Jaha, is bleeding badly and Clarke goes to tend to her. However, upon checking Ontari's pupil dilation, Clarke realises that she is brain dead and that the Nightblood won't be able to help them if they put the Flame in her. Believing their last hope is lost, the trio despair and Murphy states the obvious: "we're trapped here".

In Perverse Instantiation (Part 2), he and the others fight to keep A.L.I.E.'s followers away from Clarke. When Clarke pulls the kill switch, A.L.I.E. is destroyed, freeing everyone from her control. After everybody was freed, Bellamy was shocked and heartbroken when Octavia kills Pike.

In Matryoshka, Bellamy, disguised as a Sanctum guard, rescues Josephine, Gabriel Santiago, Clarke and Octavia by killing four other guards. At gunpoint, Bellamy orders Jade to return to Sanctum and warn Russell that if any of his people are harmed, Russell will never see his daughter again. Bellamy leaves with the others, but doesn't acknowledge Octavia's presence to her sadness.

At the Verge, Gabriel prepares to stop Clarke's heart temporarily in order to download Josephine's mind back into her Mind Drive and remove it. While Bellamy still wants to trade it back to Russell, Josephine knows that Gabriel doesn't want that as it means another resurrection and tries to convince Gabriel not to go through with it. Gabriel stops Clarke's heart and removes the Mind Drive, but can't revive her as Josephine's mind managed to hang on inside of Clarke's body. Though Gabriel believes it to be over, Bellamy desperately begins CPR as Octavia tries to comfort him. Bellamy urges Clarke to fight and she hears him inside of her mind. Clarke destroys Josephine once and for all and wakes up in Bellamy's arms. The two embrace as Gabriel and Octavia watch Josephine's brain wave pattern flatline on the EEG.

In From the Ashes, Bellamy chases after Octavia before being captured by invisible people from Bardo who drag him to the Temporal Anomaly. Realizing what happened, Gabriel and Echo search for him. Hope, who loses her memory once the Anomaly vanishes, discovers a note hidden in her arm ordering Hope to trust Bellamy, a note apparently left by Hope for herself. Hope joins Echo and Gabriel in their search, leading to Echo killing three of Bellamy's kidnappers. Moments later, the Anomaly begins to close which the group suspects is being done so that no one can follow after Bellamy's kidnappers. Unwilling to leave him, the three jump through the Anomaly together just before it closes.

In Welcome to Bardo, Bellamy appears in several of Octavia's memories while she is in the M-Cap device. A week before the present on Bardo, Octavia is taken to the room with the Anomaly Stone where its revealed that Bellamy has managed to overpower and kill his captors and holds another Disciple hostage. Bellamy demands the release of Octavia, but Anders refuses, stating that they have brought Bellamy to Bardo for a reason. Octavia tells Bellamy to stand down and offers to tell Anders everything that he wants to know about Clarke if Bellamy is allowed to return to Sanctum. Accepting Octavia's deal, Anders opens the Anomaly while Octavia states that she can't let Bellamy die to save her. As Bellamy refuses to go, one of the Disciples he attacked, still alive, sets off a grenade explosion, blowing everyone across the room. When the blast clears, there is no sign of Bellamy, apparently killed in the blast or blown through the Anomaly.

In the present, Octavia shows the memory to Echo, Hope and Gabriel. Devastated by Bellamy's apparent death, Echo kills a Disciple scientist and screams in rage and anguish.

In Nakara, after being reunited with Echo, Hope, Gabriel and Octavia, Charmaine Diyoza is informed of Bellamy's apparent death and is visibly saddened to hear about it.

In The Queen's Gambit, in a flashback to 3 years after the Second Nuclear Apocalypse, Bellamy bonds with Echo on the Ark and they share their first kiss. In the present, Echo is struggling to get over the pain of losing Bellamy. Later, Gabriel informs a devastated Clarke, Raven, Niylah, Miller and Jordan of Bellamy's apparent death.

In Anaconda, Clarke states that she's not inclined to help Bill Cadogan since he killed her best friend.

In A Little Sacrifice, Clarke and Octavia briefly comfort each other over the loss of Bellamy upon being reunited. At the same time, Echo tries to commit genocide upon the Disciples in revenge for Bellamy's apparent death. Echo is convinced that this is what Bellamy would have wanted, but Raven is able to talk her down.

In Etherea, Levitt treats a Disciple for PTSD from the explosion in the Stone room that had apparently killed Bellamy. Going through the Disciple's memories using M-Cap, Levitt spots Bellamy getting blown backwards through the Anomaly by the explosion and realizes that Bellamy is actually still alive.

In a flashback, Bellamy emerges from the Anomaly in a forest on Etherea. Grabbing his dropped knife and looking around in confusion, Bellamy spots the glow of the wormhole on top of a steep peak in the distance. As Bellamy stares at the far-off Anomaly, Conductor Doucette, who was also blasted through the Anomaly with Bellamy, attacks, leading to a brutal fight between the two men. Bellamy eventually breaks Doucette's leg and knocks him out with a rock, but chooses not to kill him.

Grabbing his knife and leaving the unconscious Doucette behind, Bellamy begins making his way towards the Anomaly with the help of a walking stick. However, he reaches a rock wall too steep for him to climb and is forced to turn back after several failed tries. Returning to where he left Doucette, Bellamy finds the man gone and follows a trail of footprints and fresh blood to a nearby cave where Doucette is laying on the ground. As Bellamy approaches to check on the man, Doucette attacks him, forcing Bellamy to hit Doucette in his injured leg to force Doucette to let him go. Doucette begins praying, but Bellamy insists that the Disciples most likely think that they are dead. Bellamy is forced to pin Doucette down when he refuses to relent, stating that while he can leave Doucette there to die of his wounds, but there is a way off of the planet for the both of them. However, it requires Bellamy and Doucette working together to reach. Bellamy releases Doucette who dissolves into a fit of coughing.

Later, Bellamy watches Doucette sleeping when he suddenly wakes up in pain. Examining Doucette's broken leg, Bellamy discovers the bone poking out and prepares to set the bone, giving Doucette instructions on how to help him. Doucette suggests using tree limbs to just make a splint and bind his leg instead, but Bellamy ignores his suggestion. Putting a stick into Doucette's mouth for him to bite down upon, Bellamy painfully resets the broken bone. Sometime later, Bellamy returns with two eggs from a native lifeform on the planet filled with water and begins using tree sap to treat Doucette's leg, commenting that Charles Pike had taught Bellamy that oozing tree sap from pine trees on Earth can be used to create antiseptics, fight infection and heal wounds which Bellamy hopes is also true of the trees on Etherea.

After splinting Doucette's leg, Bellamy works on braiding a rope, talking to the sleeping Doucette about how he is stuck with the man on Etherea while all of his friends and family are still out there somewhere "just out of reach." In order to get back to them, Bellamy has to nurse his enemy back to health and he notes that sometimes irony can be funny but this isn't one of those times. After finishing braiding the rope, Bellamy notices a book that Doucette has on him called The Shepherd's Passage and begins reading through it, particularly the part about the Cave of Ascent.

As Bellamy begins stitching warmer clothing together for the two men to wear, having by the time created a barrier of tree branches over the cave entrance, Doucette wakes up and in response to Bellamy asking if they don't thank people where he comes from, sarcastically thanks Bellamy for caring enough to save himself. Bellamy asks if they are in the Cave of Ascent, surprising Doucette that he knows about that. Bellamy explains that he read the book which helped pass the hours, but is unimpressed with the message which Bellamy feels doesn't add up. Bellamy points out that the Shepherd believes in Transcendence and peace, but the Disciples have to fight a war to get there. Bellamy tells Doucette that his people have fought more wars than the other man can ever imagine and as a result, Bellamy knows that all war brings is "death and pain and if you're lucky enough to survive, another war."

However, Doucette knows who Bellamy is and about his beliefs which the Disciple insists is only about Bellamy's people, Bellamy's sister, the lives he takes to protect them. Doucette calls it Bellamy's selfish view of the universe and states that it makes him sick. Bellamy questions if Doucette means that they shouldn't care about anyone and Doucette replies that the Shepherd teaches them that they are small in comparison to the rest of the universe and that when the time comes, the Shepherd will guide them home. Bellamy reminds the Conductor that he is only alive because of Bellamy and not some higher power, but Doucette is just amused as Bellamy is once again making it all about himself, believing that while Bellamy read the words in the book, he didn't truly understand them. Bellamy interrupts Doucette as he starts praying again so that they can work on getting Doucette's leg stronger.

A week later, Bellamy returns to the cave to find Doucette able to stand on his own, though with some obvious effort. Pleased, Bellamy has both men don the clothes that he has made for them and gather their things to make the climb. Ignoring Doucette's warnings not to go too fast and risk tiring himself out, Bellamy leads the way to the rock wall which Doucette identifies as the Wall of Unanswered Prayers, "the Shepherd's first hurdle." Both men acknowledge that there is no going around it and Bellamy suggests that if he stands on Doucette's shoulders, he can reach a handle in the wall and makes his way up it. However, Doucette rejects the idea, knowing that with his injured leg, he can't bear both of their weights. Instead, Doucette wants Bellamy to boost him up at which point Doucette will help Bellamy up. Reluctantly, Bellamy agrees, but when Doucette reaches the top, he fails to throw down the rope, appearing at first to abandon Bellamy. After a moment, Doucette returns to throw Bellamy down the rope and chides Bellamy for his lack of faith.

Reaching the top of the wall, Bellamy figures that they should be close to the mountain now and comments that it would've been easier if they had some of the climbing gear that the Shepherd brought along with him. Doucette acknowledges that the Shepherd prepared for his pilgrimage to explore the universe, but it was on Etherea that the Shepherd had found what he was seeking: the remnants of a civilization that had achieved Transcendence. Bellamy is annoyed by Doucette talking about such matters again, but Doucette feels that they are on a pilgrimage of their own and the Shepherd guides them both despite Bellamy's insistence that he is only trying to get to the exit. Spotting the mountain close by, the two men continue on their journey.

Sometime later, Bellamy and Doucette climb the mountain through a growing blizzard with Bellamy mocking Doucette's continuing recitation of the story of the Shepherd's pilgrimage on the planet. Doucette warns that the Shepherd speaks of nights of bitter cold and storms that can rage for months while Bellamy thinks that they can climb high enough to outrun the storm. Doucette draws Bellamy's attention to massive storm clouds in the sky and suggests that like the Shepherd, they should seek shelter from the storm. Bellamy argues against it since they are running low on rations and he doesn't want to spend them looking for a windbreak as Bellamy is sure that the snow will stop once they clear the clouds. Doucette warns Bellamy that the trees are getting thinner and the mountain is getting steeper and Bellamy will die if he continues on. Refusing to listen, Bellamy continues on alone, struggling through the worsening blizzard and repeating to himself that he is not afraid. Bellamy eventually passes out, but is found the next morning by Doucette and dragged into a cave.

Waking up, Bellamy asks where they are and Doucette explains that he found another cave, bigger than the first one and went back for Bellamy rather than exploring it. Bellamy decides to call it even for him saving Doucette's life earlier and notices signs of former human habitation around them, confusing Bellamy as to how it all got there. Bellamy spots a picture of a man and his family nearby and he and Doucette are drawn into the cave's back room by a bright light that they discover comes from glowing beings of light. Doucette identifies their location as the Cave of Ascent where the Shepherd saw testament of those who had ascended and knew that his way was not in vain. Doucette reveals that the light is imprints of the energy from the civilization on Etherea that had ascended. Though stunned by what he sees, Bellamy denies that Doucette and the Disciples are right as it doesn't make sense and leaves the inner cave.

Days later, Doucette returns to the cave with firewood to find Bellamy sitting beside the fire and suggests that while there is no food, he can eat the lichen off the walls. As the Shepherd survived in the cave for three months, Doucette believes that they can too, commenting that "from the ashes we will rise." Bellamy recognizes the saying and asks Doucette for the picture that he had found. When Doucette hands it over, Bellamy recognizes the man in it as Bill Cadogan and Doucette confirms that he is in fact the Shepherd. Bellamy tells Doucette that Cadogan was the leader of a cult and that Bellamy had seen a video of him preaching on Earth. Bellamy calls Cadogan a fraud and a con man, but Doucette explains that Cadogan had predicted the destruction of the Earth and had led the Disciples safely across the stars to their new home.

Cadogan had also spoken of the beings in the cave and of their ascension, but Bellamy is insistent in his belief that whatever happened on Etherea, those beings didn't ascend and states that the book tells them that a civilization needs to have know-how to work the Anomaly Stones which Bellamy feels that those beings didn't since they lived in a cave. Doucette calls the beings pure and explains that Transcendence is born at a civilization's core, if they are pure enough and worthy. Doucette urges Bellamy to at least trust the message even if he doesn't trust the message, the beings in the cave and states that they both felt the truth of it. Bellamy continues to refuse as he only believes in what he can prove which Doucette counters by asking Bellamy to prove that he loves his friends and family. Bellamy states that at least they are real and not words in some book, but Doucette points out that there is still something missing inside of Bellamy and that "death and despair hover around you like a shroud, a consequence of your selfish love." Annoyed, Bellamy orders Doucette to tell him again how it's better not to love, but Doucette states that love is not the problem its how Bellamy loves that is the problem as it doesn't fill the hole inside of him. In contrast to Bellamy, Doucette loves everyone, even Bellamy who is a stranger to him and states that it is why he came back for him: Doucette is being tested not to favor the few over the many. Doucette feels that he has a greater purpose for all mankind, but Bellamy is unconvinced and tells Doucette that if he truly believes that, Doucette can go and bunk with the beings in the inner cave while Bellamy stays there on his side.

Over two months later, Bellamy and Doucette are still trapped in the cave by the blizzard with both men having grown longer hair and beards during that time. After eating a scorpion, Bellamy states that he lost track of time after the first two months and asks Doucette, who has continued to pray, how long they've been there, but Doucette dismisses it as being unimportant. Bellamy questions Doucette's uncaring attitude since they are most likely going to die in the cave and he states that Bellamy's obsession with his sister and friends drives the darkness inside of him while Doucette's love for all mankind and his faith in the Shepherd has made Doucette lighter than he's ever been. Becoming interested, Bellamy questions what the Shepherd believes in and Doucette replies that Cadogan believes in the bond that unites them all, that everyone is connected and offers to show it to Bellamy. After a moment's hesitation, Bellamy agrees.

Doucette guides Bellamy through praying to the Shepherd and when he opens his eyes again, Bellamy is dressed in his regular clothes with his hair and beard back to normal, Doucette has disappeared and there are several weapons sticking up out of the ground. Cadogan greets Bellamy and leads him towards the inner cave, but Bellamy states that he has already seen what's in there. Gesturing to the weapons surrounding them, Cadogan states that Bellamy is wrong that they can save him and calls faith "the true weapon." Cadogan tells Bellamy that he has come far and his eyes are opening, but there is still much more for Bellamy to see. Cadogan leads Bellamy into the inner cave where a vision of Aurora Blake appears and Cadogan vanishes. Bellamy tearfully approaches his mother who touches his face before turning Bellamy's attention to the beings of light. Aurora urges Bellamy to go to the light as the light is the way and vanishes. Bellamy reaches out to the light and when it vanishes, he is back with Doucette and the storm is over. Doucette takes it as a sign that they are both worthy since the first time Bellamy prayed, the storm broke.

With the storm finally over, Bellamy and Doucette continue their journey and reach the bottom of the sheer cliff that they must climb in order to reach the Anomaly. Doucette advocates going back as the sun's going down and they won't reach their destination before then, but Bellamy refuses as it took them a long time to reach the cliff from the cave and no matter if they go back to the cave and then return, nothing will change the amount of time it takes. Doucette worries that if they are on the cliff when night falls that they will freeze to death which Bellamy admits is a concern, but he is more worried about the fact that the days are getting shorter and knows that this is their best and only chance. Together, the two climb the cliff, hooked together by the rope, but most of the way up Doucette's injured leg gives just as Bellamy reaches a wide ledge and Doucette falls. With Doucette unable to get a grip on the cliff, the rope fraying and Bellamy struggling, Doucette orders Bellamy to cut him loose so that Bellamy can save himself. Doucette reveals that he wrote the Anomaly Stone codes in his book and slipped into Bellamy's bag so Bellamy can activate the Stone himself. Bellamy refuses to let Doucette die and begins praying as he pulls Doucette up, the other man joining him. Together, they manage to bring Doucette to safety on Bellamy's ledge. Though Doucette points out that Bellamy could've died, Bellamy states that its not the way he was planning on getting off of the planet.

Bellamy and Doucette climb to a higher ledge where they find the Anomaly Stone much to their pleasure and relief. Doucette enters the code for Bardo and the Anomaly descends off of the mountaintop towards Bellamy and Doucette who close their eyes in anticipation of it engulfing them. However, the Anomaly descends past them to somewhere far below. Bellamy is confused by this turn of events, but Doucette tells him that they need to do what they came there to do. Bellamy questions how Doucette can be sure the Anomaly is below them, but Doucette states that it's the path of the Shepherd "and in his light, we will not lose." Doucette allows himself to fall backwards off of the cliff into the Anomaly below. Alone, Bellamy finally admits to himself that he is afraid and leaps off of the mountain and into the Anomaly far below.

Bellamy emerges from the Anomaly in the Stone room on Bardo where he and Doucette hug in relief and Doucette comments on their leap of faith. Bellamy is greeted by Cadogan who Bellamy kneels before and addresses as "my Shepherd." Cadogan puts a towel around Bellamy's shoulders and has him stand and asks to be called Bill. Cadogan is excited by the return of Bellamy and Doucette as pilgrims from Etherea and wants to know everything. However, Cadogan tells Bellamy that his friends are there and they've gotten themselves into some trouble.

Cadogan, along with several Disciples and Doucette, take Bellamy to the room where Clarke, Octavia, Gabriel and Echo are waiting. The group is shocked by Bellamy's return, having believed him to be dead and the armed Disciples prevent Octavia from hugging her brother. Octavia comments on how hard it is to keep the Blakes down and Cadogan allows Clarke to hug Bellamy because she has the Key. Clarke takes the opportunity to whisper to Bellamy that the Key is actually the Flame and that the Disciples believe that its still in her head. Clarke orders Bellamy not to tell them anything, but Bellamy stops Cadogan from leaving. To his friends' shock, Bellamy betrays them and reveals to Cadogan that the Flame has been destroyed as he is now completely loyal to the Disciple cause.

In Blood Giant, Gabriel approaches Sheidheda, wondering what is going on. The Dark Commander demands to know who Gabriel is and Clarke realizes that it isn't Russell. Otis introduces Sheidheda and Raven comments that they now know where his code went. The Dark Commander demands that everyone either kneel or die, but Cadogan informs him that while he normally would relish the opportunity to recruit Sheidheda's forces to the cause, he has neither the time nor the patience to do so at the moment.

On Cadogan's signal, cloaked Disciples kill the Dark Commander's Wonkru guards, allowing Raven, Indra and Clarke to rush to help the tied-up Murphy. Murphy comments that he can accept invisibility and ray guns, but he needs an explanation for Bellamy's new status. Clarke asks if Madi is safe with Gaia, only to learn that everyone else had thought that Gaia was with her. Murphy reassures Clarke that Madi is safe for now and Cadogan orders Indra restrained with Sheidheda against everyone's wishes. Cadogan points out that Indra was standing by the throne and states that the only reason she isn't dead is that she was unarmed. Sheidheda charges Cadogan, but a still-cloaked Disciple stabs him in the gut. Cadogan has a Disciple bring the palace's microphone over and the the Dark Commander that his wound is deep and Cadogan has no interest in removing Sheidheda from his throne. Cadogan proposes that the Dark Commander gives him undisturbed passage to get what he came for, meaning that Cadogan sees not a single soul on their path and in exchange, Cadogan will leave Gabriel there to treat him. Once the Disciples are gone, Sheidheda is free to "continue the debasement of our species" until he is saved along with the rest of humanity once Cadogan completes his quest although the other option is for the Dark Commander to die. With Sheidheda agreeing, Cadogan orders the others that it's time to go after the Flame.

Outside, Cadogan derisively observes the state of Sanctum, but monologues about how thanks to the Disciples, humanity will transcend and reach the Promised Land, much to Clarke's annoyance. Clarke begins leading the group through Sanctum and Murphy approaches Bellamy, believing that he is only playing along with the Disciples and asking what his plan really is. Bellamy informs Murphy that it isn't an act and that it's real and he is trying to save them all. While Bellamy doesn't expect Murphy to understand, Bellamy tries to reassure Murphy that he is still Murphy's friend and Bellamy is looking out for him. Not at all reassured, Murphy walks away from Bellamy, much to his distress.

As they make their way through Sanctum, Cadogan suddenly orders the group to stop and Clarke tells him that she's in a hurry and that he has their friends and she would like to have them back and then to see her daughter. If Cadogan would like to see his, he has to follow her. Cadogan announces a new plan: Clarke goes while everyone else stays there. Bellamy objects, reminding Cadogan that as long as their friends are out there, Clarke won't risk their lives. Cadogan states that that's why Raven and Murphy are staying with them and orders Clarke to hurry along as Cadogan doesn't want to be on Sanctum for any longer than he has to be. After looking at Bellamy for a moment, a frustrated Clarke walks off alone. Murphy suggests waiting in the tavern, but is stopped by two armed Disciples decloaking in front of him. Raven tells Murphy that he will get used to it and the two exchange quips about how well the other did as Cadogan, Bellamy and Doucette settle onto a vantage point to keep watch.

Sitting around a campfire, Raven informs Murphy of the developments since they last saw each other. Murphy asks if its weird that to him the craziest part of all of it is Bellamy's robe which Raven agrees with. Raven points out how calm Bellamy seems to be despite the fact that Echo and Octavia are hostages and Murphy reminds Raven that they are hostages too. However, Raven knows that something happened to Bellamy while he was on Etherea that caused him to change.

From nearby, Bellamy watches his friends and reassures a worried Doucette that Clarke will be there soon. Cadogan turns to Bellamy and acknowledges how hard the whole situation is on him, "believing in something with all your heart that the people you love don't understand." Cadogan states that Bellamy reminds Cadogan of himself when he was young and he asks Doucette to excuse them which he does. Cadogan muses that Doucette is a good man who will make a fine replacement for Anders, but he isn't like Cadogan and Bellamy. Bellamy is confused by Cadogan's meaning and he explains that the Disciples are taught their ways from birth and they know nothing else which makes faith easy. On the other hand, Cadogan and Bellamy know the pull of love between individuals, what it makes them do, the highs and lows of it, how it leads to hatred of the other and tribalism. Cadogan has spent generations dedicating his life to something greater, transcendence, which Bellamy now knows the weight of as well. Cadogan states that the "path of the Prophet is always hard" and Bellamy's friends will all understand eventually. Bellamy asks how Cadogan managed it with his family as Bellamy feels like he's failing both Cadogan and his loved ones. Cadogan reassures Bellamy that Bellamy isn't failing him and Bellamy is special. Like Cadogan, Bellamy was given a glimpse of what comes next, but Bellamy worries that his friends all think that he's crazy. However, Cadogan intends that they will save them anyway and will ignore everyone else's judgments "for all mankind" which Bellamy agrees with.

Suddenly, alarms begin going off warning that Red Sun toxin has been detected. Murphy and Raven join the Disciples and Bellamy urges Cadogan to get back to Bardo for his own safety. Cadogan refuses to leave without the Flame and suspects that it might just be another one of Clarke's tricks. Raven draws everyone's attention to the sky where the gas giant that Sanctum orbits has been turned red by the eclipse and affected bugs are attacking Sanctum's shield. The power goes out as people begin rushing for Ryker's Keep and Murphy suggests that they should join them unless Bellamy wants to drown him again in the pond. Raven realizes that the power being out means that the shield is down and spots a swarm of affected bugs coming towards them. Raven urges everybody to run which Bellamy agrees with, but Cadogan refuses to leave without the Flame. Doucette agrees that they should execute the hostages and get Cadogan home which Murphy points out isn't what Bellamy had said. Bellamy states that Clarke heard the alarm too and will go for Madi who Murphy states is in the reactor. Raven agrees that it's perfect as she can get the power back on and kill the bugs before the bugs kill them. The Disciples, Raven, Murphy and Bellamy all grab a torch and race towards the machine shop and the reactor.

The group arrives just after the swarm has killed Knight and two other members of Wonkru who were trying to break into the reactor. Using their torches, the group drives off the swarm and seals up the machine shop on Bellamy's orders in order to keep them out. Clarke arrives carrying a bag before they can finish sealing off the machine shop and explains that it contains anti-toxin from the farmhouse. Cadogan realizes she wants to use it on Madi, but Clarke states that there's enough for everyone, although Clarke was thinking of her daughter before Cadogan. Everyone takes the anti-toxin and Cadogan calls it "another lesson in the destructiveness of familial love." Clarke tries to get through the locked door to the reactor without any success and Cadogan questions if she got the Flame or not. Clarke promises that if Cadogan gets her through the door, she will give it to him without a fight. Cadogan agrees and has Disciple Kelly blast open the door. After everyone is reunited, Clarke hands the Flame over to a pleased Cadogan.

While they wait for Raven to restore the shield, Bellamy stands with Cadogan and Doucette as Cadogan examines the Flame and Madi warns Clarke that she shouldn't have given Cadogan the Flame based on the memories of the Commanders inside of her head. Cadogan asks Bellamy how long they have to stay there and Bellamy states that once the power is back on, the bugs will kill each other and the shield will prevent any more from coming in. However, until then, it's not worth the risk. Bellamy walks away from the Disciples and is embraced by a pleased Emori who is not yet aware of his defection. Bellamy admits that it's good to see her too and Emori comments on his clothes and Murphy pushes Bellamy to explain himself. However, the power returns and Bellamy decides to wait for another time and walks away, telling Cadogan that it won't be long now, shocking Emori when Bellamy addresses Cadogan as "my Shepherd."

With the shield restored and the bugs gone, the Disciples, Bellamy, Clarke, Murphy, Emori and Raven make their way to the Great Hall where an armed Indra, having dispatched the Disciples left behind by Cadogan to guard her and Sheidheda, demands to know where her daughter is. Cadogan is confused as to who Indra is talking about and Bellamy tells Indra that nobody even knew that Gaia was missing until that day. Bellamy promises that they will get everybody back and orders Indra to put down the gun which Indra does after Clarke confirms his order. Urged on by a hallucination of Josephine Lightbourne, Gabriel reveals that he believes that he can repair the Flame's damaged code using a computer designed to repair broken Memory Drives, stitching together broken strings of code that, like the Flame itself, was created by Becca Franko. Cadogan gives Gabriel the Flame who inserts it into the computer and states that if Becca's memories are still inside, the computer will find them. The computer successfully begins repairing the Flame's code, but Gabriel suddenly changes his mind and destroys the Flame completely with a gunshot. Gabriel turns his gun onto Cadogan and orders the Disciples to take off their helmets and drop their weapons which they comply with. As Gabriel takes the anti-toxin, Bellamy attempts to calm him down, stating that they need Cadogan to get their friends back, including Echo and Hope. Taking advantage of Bellamy distracting Gabriel, Doucette attempts to attack him only to be shot in the chest by Clarke. Horrified, Bellamy catches Doucette who urges his friend not to lose faith before dying.

With the situation under control, Clarke orders Raven to fire up the Anomaly Stone so that they can get to their friends. Using a Disciple helmet, Raven is able to reactivate the Stone and demands to know which planet their friends are on. Cadogan informs Clarke that the planet if off-line and only he knows the code to it. Checking the star map, Raven determines that Cadogan is telling the truth and that there is one planet that they can't get to. Clarke demands that Cadgoan enter the code in exchange for getting to live and he complies, opening the Anomaly to their missing friends. Cadogan states that they have the Bridge to their friends, but Clarke orders Cadogan to come with them and he tells her that she should have more faith. As Bellamy approaches, Clarke orders him to remain behind as Bellamy has made his choice while Murphy really hopes that what he believes in was worth it. Bellamy asserts that it was and Raven leads Murphy, Emori, Jackson, Madi and Gabriel through the Anomaly with no one else saying a word to their former friend. Clarke leaves Indra to cover Cadogan while she approaches Bellamy and tells him that while Clarke had said that she wouldn't lose anybody else, she has: she's lost Bellamy. Clarke doubts that "Disciple Blake" even cares and with a parting shot of "so much for together", sends Indra and Cadogan ahead of her through the Anomaly.

As Indra and Cadogan pass through the Anomaly, Sheidheda weakly offers to help Bellamy if Bellamy helps him in return and directs Bellamy to the book on his throne. Hearing the Dark Commander, Clarke turns around and sees Bellamy look through Madi's sketchbook containing her drawings of the Commanders memories that she has in her head. In Trig, Clarke demands that Bellamy give her the book, drawing her gun on the remaining Disciples when they try to interfere. Spotting a sketch of the Anomaly Stone transformed into a ball of light, Bellamy realizes the significance of the drawings and Clarke threatens to kill all of the Disciples if Bellamy doesn't turn it over to her. Bellamy promises that Madi isn't in danger and to make sure of that, but Clarke tells Bellamy in Trig that the Disciples will kill Madi to get what they want and he knows it. Starting to cry, Bellamy insists that he's trying to save them all, but Clarke threatens to kill Cadogan and shoots a Disciple that tries to rush her.

Ordering the Disciples to stop, Bellamy insists that this isn't about Cadogan and is bigger than any of them. Clarke turns her gun on Bellamy and tearfully begs him not to make her do this. Bellamy believes that Clarke won't shoot him and tells her that the Bridge will close soon and she should go. Clarke refuses to leave without Madi's sketchbook and Bellamy continues to try to reason with her, stating that all of the suffering she is experiencing, which is making Clarke willing to kill her closest friend who she trusts and is telling her that the fate of the entire human race is at stake, can end, Madi's suffering too. Bellamy states that he has no choice but to share the information with the Disciples, but Clarke is unwilling to risk letting the Disciples hurt Madi. "This is how we do better. This is the only way. I'm sorry," states Bellamy and starts to hand the sketchbook off to another Disciple who he tells needs to keep it safe for the Shepherd. Tearfully stating that she's sorry too, Clarke shoots Bellamy in the heart, killing him instantly and causing him to drop the book. Clarke kills another Disciple, but runs out of ammunition and is forced to flee through the closing Anomaly, leaving behind the sketchbook and Bellamy's dead body.

In A Sort of Homecoming, Clarke reveals Bellamy's death to her friends. Both Octavia and Echo express understanding and forgiveness, feeling that the real Bellamy died a long time ago. Octavia states that the real Bellamy, the one who would do anything to protect his sister and those he loves, would've understood and forgave Clarke too. Later, while remembering her actions as Blodreina, Octavia has a flashback to her reunion with Bellamy when the bunker was reopened. Meanwhile, Madi is angry at Clarke for killing Bellamy, feeling that Clarke ruined her own life to protect Madi which Madi never wanted to happen.

In The Dying of the Light, Clarke continues to be haunted by Bellamy's death while Octavia prefers to remember him as the loving and protective older brother he once was instead of the loyal Disciple Bellamy became at the end of his life. Jordan Green reveals his discovery that it is not a Last War after all but a test instead and expresses regret that he never got to tell Bellamy that.

In The Last War, Octavia is saddened when Levitt confirms that since Bellamy died he can't transcend. At the same time, while facing the Judge, Clarke lists killing Bellamy as one of her painful memories.

When battle breaks out, Echo is badly wounded helping Octavia rescue Levitt, explaining that she had already lost Bellamy and is not going to lose his sister as well. In her speech to get both sides to stand down, Octavia tells the Disciples that Bellamy believed as they did that transcendence -- whatever that means -- is within reach and died for his belief, meaning that Bellamy will never get there and never transcend. Octavia believes that if they fight a war with each other, they don't deserve to find out if Bellamy was right or not. As everyone starts transcending after Octavia succeeds in talking them down, Octavia states that "Bellamy was right" before transcending herself.

Personality[]

Bellamy takes charge of the group as soon as they reach Earth. He has been protective of his younger sister Octavia Blake since childhood and he wants the best for her. Eventually, this protection extends over all of the Delinquents. Bellamy is a natural leader who speaks his mind. He can be aggressive but he also has a softer side and a big heart.

In the first season, while he originally leads the Delinquents by a motto of "whatever the hell we want," Clarke gets Bellamy to see sense in laying down rules after the near-hanging of John Murphy and the suicide of Charlotte in response to a lynch mob. Its eventually shown that much of his early actions in getting rid of the Delinquents' wristbands are actually selfishly motivated: his attempted assassination of Chancellor Thelonious Jaha, which Bellamy was unaware failed, means that Bellamy will be executed if the adults get to the ground so he needs them to think that everyone is dead so they don't come after him. To this end, Bellamy goes so far as to destroy Raven Reyes' radio so that she can't alert the Ark and even briefly considers killing her, but eventually relents when he finds out that over 300 people will die if the Ark doesn't know the ground is habitable. After their attempt to alert the Ark with flares is too late, Bellamy is shown to carry enormous guilt over his actions costing so many lives which had never been his intention. However, Bellamy's genuine leadership helps keep the Delinquents alive under harsh conditions, especially once he starts working with Clarke Griffin instead of against her, causing Clarke to help him get a pardon and acknowledge Bellamy's good qualities. He can also be manipulative and often gets blindsided as he only cares about saving others even when he is actually the one in the wrong.

Bellamy has shown a desire to find meaning to all the chaos and violence that surrounds him. In Season Three, after failing to protect his people from an Azgeda attack, he accepts Charles Pike's simplistic view that the Sky People are the "good guys" and all Grounders are the "bad guys", resulting in him helping to kill 300 innocent Trikru warriors. In Season Seven, after getting trapped on Etherea for two months, Bellamy becomes fanatically loyal to the Disciples' cause. Echo believes that it was Bellamy's need for a meaning to everything that has happened and all of the people that they have killed that caused this drastic change, and that the real Bellamy died long before his actual death as a result. Bellamy is so devoted to his new cause that he is willing to allow his friends to be tortured when he can't get them to see his point of view, though he shows reluctance when it goes too far. Bellamy continually insists that he is still their friend and will keep them from getting hurt, but no one trusts him anymore. Despite his betrayal, Bellamy is shown to still care about what his friends think of him and is upset at the idea that they now hate him.

Physical Appearance[]

Bellamy has an olive complexion with thick dark brown curly hair and brown eyes. He has a lean, muscular build and appears to be physically strong.

In Season 5, after the 6 years and 7 days jump, he has longer hair and jawline beard.

In "Etherea," during his time on Etherea, Bellamy develops longer hair and a longer beard from being unable to cut his hair or shave.

In "The Stranger," after joining the Disciples, Bellamy begins wearing one of their outfits. He also cuts his hair and shaves his beard, adopting a look similar to what he had after landing on Earth for the first time.

Relationships[]

Aurora Blake[]

Aurora was Bellamy's mother. Bellamy seemed to have a very close relationship with his mother when he was young. On occasion, Aurora would have Bellamy recite why he could never tell anybody about his mother's second pregnancy. Bellamy was present when his mother gave birth to her second child and was allowed to name his sister. As Bellamy grew older, his relationship with his mother became strained. This may have been due to her prostitution, which Bellamy often voiced his disapproval of. Twenty-two years after his birth, his mother was floated when Octavia was discovered. Aurora's death greatly affected Bellamy. While on Earth, Bellamy blamed Octavia for Aurora's death. It was later mentioned that Bellamy didn't mean it.

Octavia Blake[]

"My sister, my responsibility."
- Bellamy to Clarke[src]

Octavia is Bellamy's younger sister. Bellamy's and Octavia's sibling relationship starts before the first episode of season one at Octavia's birth. After Octavia was discovered and locked up, Bellamy shot Chancellor Jaha in return for being able to stow away on the Delinquents' drop ship so he could protect his sister on the ground. Throughout Season One, Bellamy is overly protective of Octavia to the point of them getting into numerous fights, acting as a father more than a brother. Eventually, he acknowledges his sister is stronger than he thought and in We Are Grounders (Part 2), Bellamy says goodbye to Octavia and allows her to leave with Lincoln after she is injured in the war.

Bellamy and Octavia are reunited again in Season Two when Octavia saves him from Grounders in Many Happy Returns. Bellamy then helps Octavia find Lincoln and treat him through his Reaper drug withdrawals in Long Into an Abyss. After Bellamy infiltrates Mount Weather with the help of Lincoln in Survival of the Fittest, Octavia refuses to leave him behind, sacrificing her chance to be a Trikru warrior in Blood Must Have Blood (Part 1). Bellamy then saves her life by irradiating all of Mount Weather in Blood Must Have Blood (Part 2).

Their relationship becomes strained after Lincoln’s death, as Octavia blamed Bellamy.

In season six, their relationship becomes further strained because of Octavia's actions as Blodreina, leading to Bellamy banishing his sister after arriving on Sanctum. Once reunited with a remorseful Octavia, Bellamy barely even acknowledges her presence before finally stating that while she's still his sister, she is no longer his responsibility. However, after Octavia disappears with the Temporal Anomaly, Bellamy becomes visibly distraught and attempts to find her.

Clarke Griffin[]

Main article: Clarke and Bellamy
Josephine Lightbourne: "Take you and Clarke for instance. Now that's a weird relationship, isn't it? First you want to kill her to save your own ass, even though it means the genocide of your own people on the Ark and then you become besties, bonding over the actual genocide at Mount Weather. Together. You lock her up, she locks you up, you leave her on Earth, she leaves you to die in the fighting pits. I mean, it's exhausting frankly."
Bellamy Blake: "Tell me about it."
— "What You Take With You"

Clarke and Bellamy clashed often in Season 1; both of them had different ideas on how the Delinquents should be led, Bellamy being primarily concerned with Octavia at first. The two soon developed a mutual respect for each other. Clarke was able to communicate with Bellamy most of the time, and could sometimes bring out a better side of him. Bellamy respects Clarke, and as the two leaders, they understood each other more than the other Delinquents, as displayed in "Contents Under Pressure" Despite the fact that they disagreed over some leadership decisions, they respect each other's opinions, and brief moments of romantic attraction have been shown. After "Day Trip" and saving each other's lives Clarke and Bellamy become friends. Clarke acknowledges that the main reason why the group has survived is because of him, and he can't abandon them for fear of Chancellor Jaha and the Ark's wrath, and so she speaks in Bellamy's favor during his talk with Jaha which clearly has a strong effect on Bellamy. Thanks in part to Clarke speaking up for him, Jaha agrees to pardon Bellamy for his actions.

Over the course of Season 1, the two grow closer to each other as they respect and rely on each other's decisions. In the Season 1 finale, when Clarke decides that the camp should evacuate; Bellamy reluctantly agrees which would have been an impossible act at the beginning of Season 1. However, due to events they return to camp and fight off the Grounders. When Bellamy is face to face with Christian; Clarke is utterly distraught as she fears for Bellamy's life. After Clarke closes the hanger door and launches the dropship, she presumes that Bellamy is dead by the ring of fire and is attacked with grief and sorrow.

In Mount Weather, Clarke constantly tries to unveil the hidden secrets. It is evident that she is a strong leader and is still willing to lead her people in the right direction. Although Clarke and Bellamy are separated for the first 4 episodes, many parallels are seen between the two. Their influence on each other is evident, in their mutual loyalty to their people and Bellamy's reluctance to kill a Grounder accused of killing withholding information on Clarke's whereabouts. The two are reunited back at Camp Jaha in Human Trials. Clarke, hearing about his return from Abby, runs to and hugs him. Bellamy is surprised and hesitates momentarily, disbelieving that she is at the camp before he hugging her back fiercely. Both are very emotional. When they set out once more to find Finn and Murphy, Bellamy gazes at a sleeping Clarke and tells her that he understands why she had to close the dropship door on him once she wakes up. The two are seen exchanging small smiles of mutual understanding over the fire. After discovering that Mount Weather has transformed Lincoln into a Reaper in Fog of War, Bellamy asks for Clarke's help in changing him back. Bellamy steps in to defend Clarke when Lincoln becomes aggressive.

After Finn kills 18 Grounders while in pursuit of finding Clarke, Bellamy and Clarke's plan of keeping Finn free from the Grounders fail when Finn gives himself up out of guilt. After Clarke kills him out of mercy, not wanting him to suffer the torture ritual they planned to execute, Bellamy expresses concern for her well-being. Bellamy suggests a risky mission of going into Mount Weather to himself rescue their trapped friends, but Clarke quickly shoots down the plan. When Bellamy asks why as she is not in charge of him, Clarke admits that she "can't lose him too." This confession impacts him enough into silence. Bellamy shows his protective side when a meeting with the Grounders reveals that Clarke's drink had been poisoned, along with Lexa's. He knocks the drink out of her hands and steps in front of her to shield Clarke from the Grounders' aggression. When later reflecting on how he knew it had been Gustus who had poisoned the drinks in "Remember Me," Bellamy states that Gustus would "do anything for [Lexa]" and that it "just makes sense". His relationship and loyalty to Clarke is paralleled to Gustus's with Lexa. After a discussion with Lexa, Clarke finds Bellamy and agrees to his earlier plan that someone should enter Mount Weather. Bellamy asks why she's sending him to do the mission now when she didn't want him to put himself in danger before. Clarke states that she was being weak. This noticeably affects Bellamy and Raven and Octavia, who witness this. Clarke later restates Lexa's mandate that love is weakness to Abby, indicating that her sudden change of heart has to do with rejecting love and thus vulnerability to pain. Clarke is later shown highly concerned over Bellamy's safety, while still believing fully in him. Later, in "Coup de Grâce." Bellamy with Maya's help finds a way to communicate with Clarke through the radio previously set up by Monty, there Clarke states her faith in him by saying "You came though, I knew you would." Bellamy's skeptical face reveals that he is still hurt by what she said in "Remember Me." In Rubicon Bellamy finds out that Clarke lied to him about the whereabouts of Octavia during the bombing ofTondc, which Bellamy tried to prevent. Once reunited Clarke is shown to be extremely relieved that he is alive. When they are out of option to save their people from harvest by the Mountain Men, Bellamy refuses to allow Clarke to bear the burden alone and irradiates Mount Weather with her.

In Season Five, Bellamy and Clarke's relationship becomes further strained by her decisions during the Battle for Eden. In "Damocles (Part 1)," Clarke spares Echo from immediate execution because she knows how happy Echo makes Bellamy. In "Damocles (Part 2)," Bellamy learns from Madi that Clarke spent every day of the six years that they were apart trying to reach him, something that Bellamy was previously unaware of. Bellamy is later shown to be forgiving of Clarke, joking that the Commander ordered him not to be mad at her anymore.

In Season Six, Bellamy is shown to be far more forgiving and accepting of Clarke than her other friends. He is the first one to realize that Josephine Lightbourne has taken over Clarke's body and is absolutely devastated by her death, wanting to seek revenge against Josephine and Russell Lightbourne. However, after realizing that Clarke wouldn't want that, Bellamy decides to make her death mean something by leveraging it against Russell to make a deal with the Primes. After Clarke, having survived thanks to her experiences with A.L.I.E., manages to send a Morse code message to Bellamy, he quickly grasps the significance of it and sets out to get her back at all costs, even destroying the deal with the Primes in the process. In "What You Take With You," Josephine, having seen some of Clarke's memories and learned of her history from Murphy, comments on just how complicated the relationship between the two is, leading Bellamy to quip "tell me about it." Shortly afterwards, when the Children of Gabriel try to decapitate Josephine, she relinquishes control to Clarke to escape and Bellamy instantly recognizes that his friend has regained control of her body just from the change in demeanor and Clarke's fighting skills. Bellamy urges Clarke to run which she does, but leaves Bellamy with the keys so that he can escape by himself. In "Matryoshka," Bellamy refuses to give up on Clarke, performing CPR and ordering her to fight as he can't lose her. Hearing Bellamy, Clarke fights back and kills Josephine for good, reviving in Bellamy's arms. The two then immediately embrace. In "The Blood of Sanctum," after Clarke loses her mother and is forced to kill most of the Primes, including Simone Lightbourne in Abby's body, Bellamy comforts her over her loss.

By Season Seven, Clarke and Bellamy consider themselves to be best friends. However, their friendship is destroyed when Bellamy betrays his friends and joins the Disciples. In "Blood Giant," Clarke reluctantly kills Bellamy to protect Madi after he refuses to listen to reason. Clarke is devastated by his death, but feels that she had no other choice in the end.

Lincoln[]

"You protected my sister before you even knew her. "
- Bellamy to Lincoln [src]

Bellamy and Lincoln at first meeting have a hostile relationship Lincoln had kidnapped his sister. Bellamy is disturbed by the sketches of Octavia in Lincoln's journal. Bellamy tortures Lincoln, trying extract information on the Grounders and on how to save Finn's life. In Unity Day, Bellamy discovers the extent of Octavia's and Lincoln's relationship when he sees them embracing and then when Lincoln saves her life. Eventually in We Are Grounders (Part 2), Bellamy sees him as an ally and allows him to take Octavia to safety in order to save her from her arrow wound.

Bellamy helps Octavia capture a Reaper Lincoln in Fog of War and they bring him back to the drop ship so Clarke can try to save him (Long Into an Abyss). In Survival of the Fittest, Bellamy joins forces with Lincoln in an attempt to infiltrate Mount Weather but Lincoln gives into his reaper addiction and leaves Bellamy at the mercy of the Mountain Men. Lincoln finds out in Rubicon that in spite of him deserting Bellamy, Bellamy had still successfully made it into Mount Weather.

In Season 3 Bellamy and Lincoln are shown to be friends. Both are concerned about Octavia. They are not shown to have much contact after Pike gains influence over Bellamy. Lincoln's imprisonment, in conjunction with other factors, leads to Bellamy questioning and ultimately rejecting Pike's influence. Bellamy is unable to stop Lincoln's execution by Pike, something that clearly horrifies Bellamy.

John Murphy[]

Main article: Bellamy and Murphy
"We hanged him. We banished him. And now we're gonna kill him. Get the hell out of my way."
- Bellamy to Finn about Murphy[src]

In spite of Murphy's abrasive personality, Bellamy befriends him soon after they arrive on Earth. Although Murphy seems keen on doing as he pleases, he holds a certain respect towards Bellamy and briefly takes a right-hand-man kind of stance around him. Their relationship sours, however, when Murphy is falsely accused of killing Wells; the fallout eventually results in Charlotte's death and Murphy's banishment from the group. When he returns, Bellamy is reluctant to let him stay, but ultimately gives him a second chance. Murphy, however, betrays him and tries to kill him, causing their relationship to be even more strained.

When Bellamy encounters Murphy again after Murphy tried to hang him, Bellamy begins beating Murphy up but is stopped by Marcus Kane. They are both arrested and locked in the stockade together at Camp Jaha. Bellamy gives Murphy another chance when he takes Murphy with him to hunt for the missing Delinquents and Murphy proves himself to Bellamy and saves his life at one point. Bellamy appears to trust him once again, so much that he even gave him a gun. Bellamy even goes so far as to protect Murphy when Raven wants to exchange his life with Finn's for the Tondc massacre.

In later seasons, Bellamy and Murphy are shown to have a better relationship, particularly after their six years together on the Ark as part of Spacekru.

In "Blood Giant," after Bellamy joins the Disciples, Murphy expects him to be pretending and asks what his plan is, citing his own experience at pretending to be something that he's not. After Bellamy tells Murphy that he's not pretending, Murphy leaves his side and Bellamy is visibly hurt by his friend's rejection of him. During their last conversation, Murphy tells Bellamy that he hopes the betrayal was worth it and Bellamy insists that it was.

After learning of Bellamy's death, Murphy is devastated by the news. After manipulating Raven, Murphy comments that he learned how from watching Bellamy and then immediately saddens with the reminder of the loss of his friend. Both Emori and Murphy openly acknowledge that they miss him.

Marcus Kane: "Why do you think they attacked? What provoked them?"
Bellamy Blake: "We were here. That was enough. We're wasting time. The others didn't just vanish into thin air. They were taken, and we need to go after them."
Bellamy Blake: "Those are my people out there."
Marcus Kane: "They're my people, too."
-- Inclement Weather

Bellamy Blake (to Finn Collins): "Finn, stop! You don't want to do this. Trust me. There are some lines you can't uncross."

Clarke Griffin: "That doesn't sound like Finn."

Bellamy Blake: "A uniform doesn't change that. This is our home now, Lincoln. We fought for it. Too many of our friends died for it. On the Ark, the uniform meant something different. Down here, it means what we make it mean. Together. My sister will understand that eventually."

Bellamy Blake: "I have always done what is best for us. I need you to trust that I'm doing that now."
-- 'Watch the Thrones

Marcus Kane: "Wake up. You attacked an army that was here to help us. You murdered innocent people. Is that who you are now? You thought you couldn't live with yourself after Mt. Weather? Well, you just started a war that'll kill us all."
Bellamy Blake: "You need to wake up. And don't tell me the difference between Azgeda and Trikru. Trikru killed 37 of my friends before you even touched the ground. We didn't start anything. They did."
Bellamy Blake: "I'm serious. Look at yourself. It is time to stop playing Grounder before you get yourself hurt."
Octavia Blake: "I'm not playing anything. This is who I am. You're my brother, I shouldn't have to tell you that."
Bellamy Blake: "Enough, Clarke! You are not in charge here and that's a good thing because people die when you're in charge. And you were willing to let a bomb drop on my sister. Then you made a deal with Lexa who left us in Mt. Weather to die and forced us to kill everyone who helped us. People who trusted me."
-- Hakeldama

Bellamy Blake: "You're crossing a line, Kane."
Marcus Kane: "No. No. I crossed it. I asked you here because I hoped you'd join me. It's still not too late to choose the right side."
Bellamy Blake: "That's exactly what I came here to tell you."
Bellamy Blake (to Pike): "Sir... are we really killing our own people now?"

Clarke Griffin: "She won't be charged, everyone will say that Pike had it coming."
Bellamy Blake: "Maybe we all do."
Bellamy Blake: "We didn't survive this long just to let a little radiation take us out." :
Clarke Griffin: "Thank you. For keeping me alive."
Bellamy Blake: "You don't make it easy."
Echo: "You think we'll ever be able to trust each other again?"
Bellamy Blake: "I doubt it."
-- Echoes

Bellamy Blake: "Doesn't matter what we do. We'll always end up here – in the brink of war."
-- A Lie Guarded

Bellamy Blake: "Trust me when I tell you, if this turns into a massacre, it will never get out of your head. War made me a murderer. Don't let it happen to you."
-- The Tinder Box

Clarke Griffin: "You've got such a big heart, Bellamy. People follow you. You inspire them because of this. (points to his heart) But the only way to make sure we survive, is if you use this too. (points to his head)"
Bellamy Blake: "I've got you for that."
-- Praimfaya

Bellamy Blake: "We die. I left her behind, and we all die anyways."
-- Praimfaya

Raven Reyes: "Clarke, saved us again. You think we can do this without her?"
Bellamy Blake: "If we don't, she died in vain. And I'm not going to let that happen."
-- Praimfaya

Bellamy Blake (to Echo): "Wouldn't it be easier just to step outside?"
-- Eden
Charmaine Diyoza: "283 lives for one. She must be pretty important to you?"
Bellamy Blake: "She is."
-- Sleeping Giants

Bellamy Blake (about A.L.I.E.): "Destroy the world and 200 years later, they put you on a flag. See? Hope for us yet."
-- Sanctum
John Murphy: "Me and you, couple of guys stuck on a moon, nobody else on it. Filled with man-eating bugs and toxic plants that turn people who love each other into homicidal maniacs.
Bellamy Blake: "Oh, so you're looking out for me? John Murphy, court jester."
John Murphy: "Well, it beats being useless."
Bellamy Blake: "Not by much."
-- in Red Sun Rising
Bellamy Blake (While drowning Murphy): "I will keep us safe! I will keep us... safe!"
-- Red Sun Rising
John Murphy: "Stop, man you're killing her."
Bellamy Blake: "No! I'm saving us, from both of you!"
-- in Red Sun Rising

Bellamy Blake (talking to himself): "The problem is, to get back to the people I care about, I have to nurse my enemy back to health. Sometimes, Bellamy Blake, irony can be funny. This is not one of those times."
-- in Etherea
Bellamy Blake: "Our people have been at war more times than you can know, and let me tell you, it doesn't bring peace. Just death and pain, and if you're lucky enough to survive, another war."
Doucette: "I know who you are. Your beliefs, they're all about you. Your people, your sister, the lives you take to protect them. Your selfish view of the universe makes me sick."
Bellamy Blake: "So, 'don't care about people', that's your solution?"
-- in Etherea
Bellamy Blake (reciting the Disciples' prayer): "In the shadow of the Shepherd for all mankind, he saved us from the fire that consumed the Earth. In the light of Shepherd for all mankind, he will save us from the war to end all wars."
-- in Etherea
Bellamy Blake: "My Shepherd, may I have a moment?"
Bill Cadogan: "Of course. Everybody out."
Gabriel Santiago (to Bellamy): "You look good in white."
Bill Cadogan: "Lock him up with the others."
Disciple: "Let's go. Move it."
-- in The Stranger
Bill Cadogan: "You're wondering what will happen to your friends."
Bellamy Blake: "Yes, my Shepherd."
Bill Cadogan: "Join me, please. (the two sit at a table) Mmm. Broth. I'd have killed for this during my time on the mountain."
Bellamy Blake: "I heard about First Disciple Anders. I assume you two were close. I'm very sorry."
Bill Cadogan: "Close? I met him twice. I usually only meet the First Disciple once when they come to wake me every 20 years to say there's been no progress to the last war. Anders woke me twice. The second time, we had found the Key, so, yes, I suppose, I mean, comparatively speaking, we were close, but that's not what you meant, is it? You were testing me to see if I live by the same code that I expect of my Disciples."
Bellamy Blake: "Yes. Forgive me."
Bill Cadogan: "I don't want to cause you any more pain, Bellamy, but your friends have to pay for what they've done. Their crimes go beyond Anders. Dozens of Disciples are dead because of them."
Bellamy Blake: "What if there was a way to fix the Flame?"
Bill Cadogan: "Bellamy."
Bellamy Blake: "With the technology you have here, it could be possible."
Bill Cadogan: "And you'll help me get it as long as I don't harm your friends? (Bellamy sighs) Don't be ashamed. The path is new to you. I've walked it for centuries, and it's still hard. You remind me of my son Reese. He went in search of the Flame. I never saw him again. I think my daughter killed him. I'll never know for sure."
Bellamy Blake: "Well, if I can get the Flame and your daughter really is in there, you can find out."
Bill Cadogan: "All right. If you can get it and if we can repair it and if it contains the code to the last war, your friends will be absolved."

Raven Reyes (to Bellamy): "So much for family!"
-- in The Stranger
Echo: "Who the hell are you?"
Bellamy Blake: "The man you love."
Echo: "The man I love would not be okay with torturing Raven!"
Bellamy Blake: "It's not torture."
Echo: "It is if you fight it. I know these people, Bellamy. I trained for five years to pass as one. And I spent another three months and I actually became one, all so I could save you. And then avenge you."
Bellamy Blake: "I'm sorry you went through that."
Echo: "Are you? Because it looks like while I was out there doing everything I could to get to you, you were forgetting me. Forgetting who your friends, your family is. I scarred my own face to remind myself of who I was and where I came from so I wouldn't lose myself while I let them play with my mind. You've lost yourself, Bellamy. This isn't you."
Bellamy Blake: "I'm trying to save all of you."
Echo: "And what happens if you can't find the Flame? You just gonna stand by and watch as they execute us?"
Bellamy Blake: "You know I don't want that."
Echo: "That's not what I asked!"
Bellamy Blake: "What do you do, when you believe in something with all your heart the people you love think is crazy?"
Echo: "I don't know. Watch us all die I suppose. Is this thing you believe in really that important? Is it more important than us?"
Bellamy Blake: "Yes. The end of war. No more senseless death or killing. The Shepherd can deliver us there, Echo. All of us. For all mankind."
-- in The Stranger

Clarke Griffin: "You need backup to talk to us now?"
Bellamy Blake: "It's okay." (the guards leave)
Clarke Griffin: "It's about time. I have been wracking my brain trying to figure out how you telling Cadogan the truth about the Flame helps us. You know what I've come up with? It doesn't."
Bellamy Blake: "I couldn't lie to him."
Octavia Blake: "Really? Why not?"
Bellamy Blake: "I had an experience, something that changed me to my core, something that explains why we're still here and where we're going. It came to me in a vision. Mom was there. The Shepherd led me to her and there was a light and it was beautiful and warm and peaceful and I chose it and when I opened my eyes the storm had passed just like that."
Clarke Griffin: "Bellamy--"
Bellamy Blake: "Clarke I-- I know how it sounds, but it's real. A war is coming, the last war we will ever fight. Win it and we become the light."
Clarke Griffin: "Is that what the cult leader told you?"
Octavia Blake: "Did he tell you what happens if we lose?"
Bellamy Blake: "We won't."
Octavia Blake: "We turn into crystal, wiped out like Medusa turning people into stone. It's the end of everything."
Bellamy Blake: "Not everything, just us. If I told you the AI that destroyed the Earth was storing our minds in a City of Light, would that be any more believable? What about a group of astronauts turning themselves into gods by transferring their minds into the bodies of their own followers to live forever?"
Clarke Griffin: "Ok. Yes. We've seen our share of crazy. But that doesn't change the fact that fighting some war to become the light is as ridiculous as the clothes you're wearing!"
Bellamy Blake: "There's one way to find out. Tell me where the Flame is."
Clarke Griffin: "No."
Bellamy Blake: "Clarke, yesterday you were offering it up in exchange for safe passage."
Clarke Griffin: "Yesterday, I was bluffing. I made a deal to save my friends, knowing damn well I had no intention of following through with it. Today, I'm standing in front of my best friend who I thought was dead and I don't even recognize him."
Bellamy Blake: "Clarke, I am the same person who brought you back from the dead, who refused to give up on you. There is so much more at stake here than you know and I know you don't believe in transcendence, but I'm telling you it's real and I am asking you to believe in me."
Clarke Griffin: "Even if you're right, even if everything you're saying is true, I will not help that man start his war!"
Bellamy Blake: "Tell me where the Flame is."
Octavia Blake: "Or what?"
Bellamy Blake: "Dozens of Disciples are dead, including First Disciple Anders."
Clarke Griffin: "Yes and every one of them has tried to keep us from saving our friends."
Bellamy Blake: "And now I am trying to save you, all of you. Clarke, if you don't tell me where it is, they will execute all of you. Please, let me help."
Clarke Griffin: "Go float yourself."
Bellamy Blake: "Guards! Take this one to M-Cap."
Octavia Blake: "Bellamy, what are you doing?!"
Bellamy Blake: "What I have to do."
-- in The Stranger
Bellamy Blake (about his friends): "They all hate me."
Doucette: "They don't know what we know. When we transcend, they will understand. For all mankind."
Bellamy Blake: "For all mankind."
-- in The Stranger
Bill Cadogan: "I'm sorry, Bellamy. You did what you could. Send the first of her friends to Penance."
Clarke Griffin: "Wait. I'll take you to it but only once all my friends are safe."
Bill Cadogan: "Done. Bellamy."
Bellamy Blake: "It didn't have to be like this."
Clarke Griffin: "Yes, it did."
-- in The Stranger
Clarke Griffin: "Why are they still restrained? We had a deal.
Raven Reyes: "Clarke, what is this? What deal?"
Clarke Griffin: "He releases all of us, and I take him to the Flame."
Bill Cadogan: "You'll forgive me if I have trust issues where you're concerned. Remove the restraints one at a time. Any violence will be met with lethal force."
Bellamy Blake: "No one is getting violent. It's a good thing. You're being released."
Doucette: "Helmet on to protect your memory."
Nathan Miller: "You good with this?" (Clarke nods and everyone begins departing)
Echo: "Sending the fighters first, is that it?"
Doucette: "Can't be too careful."
-- in The Stranger
Clarke Griffin: "What are you doing?"
Bill Cadogan: "Ensuring you keep your part of the deal."
Raven Reyes: "He didn't send them to Sanctum."
Bill Cadogan: "Correct, and thank you for demonstrating why I didn't send you with them."
Gabriel Santiago: "We know how the Stone works."
Bill Cadogan: "Also correct."
Clarke Griffin: "Where are they?"
Bill Cadogan: "They're safe as I promised they would be. I said nothing about releasing them on Sanctum."
Clarke Griffin (to Bellamy): "You knew about this?"
Bill Cadogan: "He doesn't know where they are. Only I do. I told you, Clarke, I don't trust you. I do, however, trust the love you have for your friends, and once I have the Key and the last war begins, they'll all be freed at which point each of you will be welcome to fight alongside us, and if you choose not to, well, we'll save you anyway. That is what we mean when we say, 'for all mankind.'"
-- in The Stranger
John Murphy: "Hey, so what's our play here?"
Bellamy Blake: "Our play?"
John Murphy: "Don't get me wrong, you look good - not as good as me - but I know a thing or two about pretending to be something you're not."
Bellamy Blake: "This isn't an act, Murphy. I'm trying to save us all. I don't expect you to understand. Just know that I am your friend and I'm looking out for you."
John Murphy: "That's very reassuring. I'm just gonna..." (walks further ahead)
-- in Blood Giant
Bill Cadogan: "Doucette's a good man. He'll make a fine replacement for Anders... But he's not like us."
Bellamy Blake: "Sir?"
Bill Cadogan: "The Disciples are taught our ways from birth. They know nothing else. Makes faith easy. We, on the other hand, know the pull of love between individuals, what it makes us do, the highs and lows of it, how it leads to hatred of the other, tribalism. I've spent generations dedicating my life to something greater."
Bellamy Blake: "Transcendence."
Bill Cadogan: "Now you know the weight of that, too. The path of the Prophet is always hard. Your friends will understand eventually."
Bellamy Blake: "You had a family. How did you manage it? I feel like I'm failing both you and them."
Bill Cadogan: "You're not failing me, Bellamy, far from it. You're special. You were given a glimpse of what comes next just as I was."
Bellamy Blake: "They all think I'm crazy."
Bill Cadogan: "And so we ignore their judgments and we save them anyway."
Bellamy Blake: "For all mankind."
Bill Cadogan: "For all mankind."
-- in Blood Giant
John Murphy: "We should be going with them to Ryker's Keep, or maybe you'd like to drown me again in the pond."
-- in Blood Giant
Clarke Griffin (about Madi's sketchbook): "Bellamy, give it to me. Now. Or I'll kill them all. You know I will."
Bellamy Blake: "Clarke, Madi isn't in danger. I'll make sure of that."
Clarke Griffin: "They will kill her to get what they want, and you know it. I won't let that happen."
Bellamy Blake: "I am trying to save us all, Clarke."
Clarke Griffin: "I'll kill Cadogan. Is that what you want? Give it to me!"
Bellamy Blake: "Clarke, this isn't about Cadogan! It's bigger than any of us."
Clarke Griffin: "Don't make me do this."
Bellamy Blake: "You're not gonna shoot me, Clarke. The bridge will close. You should go."
Clarke Griffin: "Not without that book."
Bellamy Blake: "Look at yourself. What you feel right now, the need to protect someone you love so badly you're willing to kill your closest friend, someone you trust who's telling you that the fate of the entire human race is at stake. All that suffering can end. Madi's suffering, too. I have no choice but to share this."
Clarke Griffin: "I can't let them hurt her."
Bellamy Blake: "This is how we do better. This is the only way. I'm sorry. (holds out the book to a Disciple) You need to keep this safe for the Shepherd."
Clarke Griffin: "Me, too." (shoots and kills Bellamy)
-- in Blood Giant
Echo: "Where's Bellamy?"
Octavia Blake: "Clarke?"
Clarke Griffin: "Dead. He's dead."
John Murphy: "Bellamy? Clarke, he was fine when we left. I'm a little confu---."
Clarke Griffin: "I killed him. I had to."
Echo: "Why?"
Clarke Griffin: "Madi's sketchbook, he had it and he knew that she still has the memories of the Commander. She would never be safe. I begged him to stop. I tried to get the book back, but he ... I tried everything, I promise. I tried. I'm so sorry."
Octavia Blake: "I understand. So would the old Bellamy. The one that would do anything for his baby sister and the people he loved."
Clarke Griffin (to Echo): "You can hate me if you want to, god knows I do."
Echo: "We lost him a long time ago. He needed all this chaos to make sense, all the violence, all the people we've killed. He couldn't accept that it's all meaningless. Cadogan gave him meaning, and that meaning is what killed him. Not you."
-- in A Sort of Homecoming
Clarke Griffin (about transcendence): "Bellamy's dead because he believed that crap, and I've heard enough!"
-- in The Dying of the Light
Octavia Blake: "If she gets it done, will my brother transcend?"
Levitt: "No. Shepherd's Passage, Book of Bardo, Chapter 1, Verse 6. 'Death is the end, my friend. Only the living shall transcend.'"
-- in The Last War
Octavia Blake (about transcendence): "Bellamy was right."
-- in The Last War

Notes and Trivia[]

  • In an interview, Kass Morgan confirmed that she named Bellamy after Edward Bellamy, an American science-fiction writer.[3]
  • Bellamy Blake may be descended from The Grounder Tracy Blake.
    • His great-great-grandfather Blake was an astronaut with 4 Ph.D.'s[4]
  • At the start of the series, both his parents are deceased.[5]
  • He is his mother's first child. He has a younger maternal half-sister, Octavia Blake.[1] Bellamy and Octavia are the only known living brother and sister from the Ark.[5][6]
    • He delivered his sister and named her after Octavia the Younger, who was Augustus', the 1st Roman Emperor, sister.[6]
    • He often says, "my sister, my responsibility." This stems from when Octavia was first born, his mother told him his sister was his responsibility.[6]
    • Bellamy lost his job as guard cadet after Octavia was discovered.[6]
  • After Octavia was found, he worked in sanitation, lived in Section B-17 of the Ark, and was on rations level 7 (two portions of food and 2 oz of water per day).[5]
    • At Unity Days 2017 fan event, Bob Morley said that he thinks Bellamy was good student but his education stopped after Octavia was found and "they forgot he was human".[7] However, this has not been confirmed as canon.
  • He has knowledge of history and mythology. He mentions Emperor Augustus, Augustus's sister Octavia, Dr. Oppenheimer, Cerberus, and the Trojan Horse.[6]
  • Bellamy was 23 years old in Season One, making him the oldest person at the Delinquents' Camp.[8][5][6]
  • Bellamy is one of four Sky People who have killed a delinquent. The others are Charlotte,[9] Clarke,[9] and John Murphy.[10][11]
  • Bellamy is one of eight Sky People who was not taken by the Mountain Men in the first-season finale. The others were: Octavia, Sterling, Zoe Monroe, Finn Collins, Murphy, Raven Reyes, and an unnamed delinquent.[12][13]
  • Bellamy shot Thelonious Jaha twice. The first time in a failed assassination,[5] and the second time was to stop Jaha from killing Ontari.[14] (although he most likely did not remember the second shot due to being controlled by A.L.I.E. at the time).
  • At Unity Days 2017 fan event, which took place before season 4, Morley said that he feels Bellamy is xenophobic towards the Grounders. This is something he does not like about the character.[15]
  • Bob Morley had knee surgery a few weeks before filming of Season Six started.[16] This resulted in Bellamy being in a sitting position more often throughout the first few episodes of the season.[17]
  • According to his Ark personnel file seen in "Pilot", Bellamy's blood type is AB Negative.[5] However, this was later retconned with all Sky People having O Negative blood.[18][19]
    • In "Pilot," Abby mentioned needing AB Negative blood to save Jaha.
  • Bellamy has the second highest known kill count of all the human characters. He is responsible for over 1000 deaths, second only to Diana Sydney.
  • Bellamy has the third-most character appearances on the show, having only missed 9 episodes. Clarke and Octavia are tied for first with only 5 episodes missed.
  • Season Three, Season Five and Season Seven are the only seasons where Bellamy does not appear in every episode.
  • Bellamy was missing for many episodes in Season Seven. Jason Rothenberg said that Bob Morley asked to take some time off, so the plot was written around that.[21]
    • In the first episode of the season, Bellamy is kidnapped by the Disciples, setting up his disappearance in subsequent episodes.
    • Bellamy was absent for more episodes in Season Seven than in any other previous season.
  • Bellamy is the tenth main character to die in The 100. The nine preceding ones are Wells Jaha, Finn Collins, Lincoln, Roan, Jasper Jordan, Thelonious Jaha, Monty Green, Marcus Kane and Abigail Griffin.
