So my housemate and I decided to do a watch/rewatch of the 100. Both of us made it to the end of season 3 and no further. Handy for the rewatch as we aren’t spoiling things for each other.
My questions is this to all of you. I just watched the episode spacewalker of season 2. Now what Finn did was a horrible thing. But I can see his mania came from a place of panic, love and desperation.
If Lexa had allowed him to be imprisoned and served his penance under the eye of the ark do you think he was redeemable. And would you have liked to have seen them develop a relationship between him and Clarke? They teased us with something that could have been epic and I’m a little annoyed we will Never know what if.
I also feel they killed him off just for a shock factor since they did the same with wells in season 1. Did they play roulette and go they’ll do! This one can die. 💀
Im interested in others opinions.

Idk why I thought of this show today, just probably from the anger it caused me but here is some key themes that free of charge if some tv or film writer decides to remake the show I hope these themes are avoided and i will give brief reasons why.
Theme 1(avoid the judge/2nd dawn/ascension storyline)-Imo this theme ruined the core of season 7, I am not opposed to the show bringing in sci fi elements like the anti radiation pills or im even open to the quasi immortality of the primes and the anomaly stones but the ascension/judge stuff was too much for a show like this to handle, this is one of those few questions that a story can never really answer if you're going to go to that theological angle and ask why the creator(if you're a believer) created us and punishes us for our sinful human nature and why allows evil to exist, that stuff cannot be answered by theologians who devote their lives to studying it, why would I believe a hollywood tv writer can answer it any better? Its not even a religious vs anti religious perspective its just too ambigious of a topic that I dont think ever works in a storyline let alone the 100. And tbh I dont even entirely remember why the judge even told clarke and raven why they didnt interfere in human affairs but I think I was dissapointed by the answer. Answer questions that can be answered, this wasnt one of them.
Theme 2(Dont bring in the the idea of AI turning on humanity)-Not only is this one of the most overused cliches in sci fi but its easily the most annoying sci fi cliche cause its asking us to believe in a lie, Im open to the idea of AI being programmed to have emotions thats fine but you'll never get me to believe in real life or fiction that a machine can just grow a will of its own out of nothing and turn on humanity which is what I think happened with allie. I dont care how many modern articles irl tell us the danger of AI, its only dangerous if its in harmful hands otherwise there is nothing to be scared of. The writers of the 100 books and tv show could have figured out another way to end the world via nukes that wasnt AI suddenly gaining emotions.
Theme 3 (Slow down on the amount of character deaths)-I understand characters are gonna die in a show like this but the writers overdid it to the point I felt physically sick cause I felt there was like a kill fetish and by the end the human race for most part became screwed anyway, it became too nihilistic, Im not attracted to that.
Theme 4(Establish more character loyalty)-I understand on paper seeing an episode each week to see twist and turns is a point of storytelling but at least half of those characters I never got the sense of loyalty and that they could turn on each other at any moment and it became really hard sometimes to get into the relationships cause it felt a good chunk of the characters could become a judas at anytime.
I would say that is it for the most part, im actually pretty kind here cause Im sure there are some fans who have bigger lists of things that went wrong in the show than this but im willing to see a silver lining. I understand some people might get mad I didnt put having lexa live or bellarke happen, you got to understand Im not really a romantic ship guy I was in the minority of the fans when I was watching this show and some of the other cw shows so I dont feel one way or another although I will say I did like lexa and would have liked if she stuck around longer and see her relationship with the other characters besides clarke and for bellarke I did like the friendship aspect of them too and I do still feel sad it ended the way it did for shock value and petty grudges.

Does anyone else think that the 100 took a turn, like shifted into people taking over bodies and minds and the anomaly from Warriors and badasses,War,like the first 4 seasons were good we had the grounders and the Arkers.Evan Mount Weather it was fun to watch thrilling even, but when we got into season 5 through 7 it took a turn to it was way different from the first 4 seasons.it wasn't as fun to watch for me I got bored like transcendence what does that have to do with anything from the first 4 seasons other than the Flame.Plus I didn't like how the show ended I feel like lexa and Bellamy should have came back because of the transcendence because lexa was in the flame she should have transcended and maybe she didn't or someone random person found all the broken parts of the flame and fixed like Gia sence her whole world was centerd around protecting the cpmmander/Heda.that she went to go fix it without anyone knowing so that lexa could come back that's how I think the show should have ended.what do y'all think?
