Clarke should be an option on here
@Ken Duffy the main person who was against Skaikru becoming the 13th clan wasn't Bellamy. You wrote all that for what? I'm not understanding your point.
Bellamy's death didn't make sense at all. there's literally no good reason he should've died. in fact, rothenberg said himself that it wasn't even a planned thing beforehand; his entire character was handed to newly hired writers who were on the crew.
Ppl say that it "made sense" for him to die at that time or it was "fitting," but i think ppl just say that because it's a main character death and not because of the actual plot itself
Either way titus dies LOL
Yes very similar. what's so interesting to me about these two cases is that, if you really try to put yourself in their shoes, it actually kind of makes sense once you try to understand what they've been thru and how they feel.
for pike, since he landed on the ground, him and is people have been victims of hostility from grounders. it wouldve taken a way longer time than what he was given in the show to create a bond with them, especially since the clan he was dealing with was azgeda. the arkadians havent even given their full trust to the grounders, and they didnt for a while. if arkadia didnt have good diplomatic leaders like kane and abby, the whole situation with pike couldve happened way earlier.
Meanwhile for octavia, she got used to a system designed to keep humanity away from death. ironically, that ended up the wrong way with the system itself bringing humanity closer to death. to put it in octavia's perspective, though, her system technically worked while they were in the bunker. it only became a problem once they left the bunker, and things got more complicated. but even then, the only real mistake she made was burning the algae farm and shoot those defectors. other than that, if we're playing the blame game for who's responsible for wonkru deaths post-bunker, it's probably Kane and Abby.
Aw hell nah not the jaha hater
They could have won that battle smh
"Sheidheda was a random evil dude who took over peoples minds and made them kill people"
"A random evil dude" who took the plot of two seasons ☠️
"But yes Pike was more frightening/annoying to most people because of his realistic course of action."
Yeah well the fandom has a history of hating characters for more than they did, because frankly, Sheidheda was way more annoying than Pike. He became an obstacle for two whole seasons and would not go away until the final episode, even tho the other characters had many chances to kill him.
"The fact that Pike was actually someone who wanted to be in charge and killed people that got in his way is frighting"
Thats literally the same thing Sheidheda was doing. He wanted power and killed ppl that got in his way. The difference is that Pike had a better reason than Sheidheda.
"It sounds to me that you have a very dictatorship like mindset if you think Pike is better than Sheidheda."
I'm not saying i agree with pike or his methods. im saying he had a better justification for doing the things he did (protection and self preservation) than Sheidheda, who literally killed people for fun. If anything, the fact that you like characters like Sheidheda and dislike characters like Pike for stupid reasons speak volumes about your own mindset.
@Lubots3 you're literally choosing to ignore pike's justifications, and praise irrelevant things abt sheidheda to justify your dislike for pike... like listen to yourself rn
Maybe because trikru was the strongest clan next to azgeda
Someone pls explain how pike was worse than mcreary
Im just gonna assume yall are racist cuz aint no way yall like SHEIDHEDA over pike... pike was fighting for what he believed to be right... meanwhile sheidheda and mcreary were literally power hungry and killed ppl for fun...
This is actually a very interesting comparison. at first i immediately thought cage, but after some more thought i realized a couple things...
Both cage and pike wanted to survive because they believed that they weren't able to without hurting others
Both have had bad experiences with grounders (in cage's case, skaikru) that drive them to do these things
Both were offered but denied peace, because their lack of trust makes them think that peace isn't attainable
Yes i can see why u can say that. i lowkey agree however i do admit there are good things about their relationships. for both i think it was "right person wrong time"
@Xxitsbrianoconnerxx i'm not trying to start arguments, im literally just trying to understand why u think that if pike never killed grounders, then bellamy and monty would live and they wouldnt have to go to another planet. Like i said, they went to another planet because of the eligius prisoners. monty died in space because he didn't want to put himself in cryo for 125 years and he wanted a happy life with harper. bellamy died because clarke shot him. these are facts. what connection do these have with pike?
You are right that things would be different if pike wasnt chancellor, like lexa might live. but bellamy and monty living are completely unrelated.
@SnowBreaker45 as an Abby disliker, I have to say that she never really admitted her mistakes and improved from them, so idk what you mean by "she made things right in the end." In the end, she still killed someone and replaced their body with Kane for her own benefit. Goes to show how she didn't really change as a person for much of the show
I 100% agree. In my opinion, she's the second strongest character in the show (1st is Octavia). The way she lost so much, both physically, mentally, and emotionally, and never lost sight of her principles goes to show how strong her will is as well
I disagree with the "he made good choices" part, at least for season 5. For me, the things he did in season 5 were really, and I mean really hypocritical, and traitorous. One could argue and say that they align with his principles and that he was doing the right thing, but to that I say that he might have thought he was doing that, but it doesn't add up with some of the other things he did that season.
I think I'll make a post about this idk
Don't understand why Jaha's on the list...
@Xxitsbrianoconnerxx Pike was not responsible for Jasper, Monty, or Bellamy's death, but I can kind of see why you would think he was indirectly responsible for Lexa's death.
The reason they went to another planet was because of McCreary, who was part of the Eligius prisoners. He dropped the Damocles bomb made of hythlodium that nuked Shallow Valley. So even if Pike didn't kill the grounders, it would have no affect on the timeline of the show.
