Blood Must Have Blood (Part 1)- Discussion

It was an excellent episode, in my opinion. My thoughts:

1. I was surprised that Lexa betrayed Clarke and left the Delinquents to die. And let me just say, the alliance between the Grounders and Sky People is gonna be over. I'm not so sure how Clarke can overlook the fact that Lexa just abandoned her and the rest of the Sky People. However, I don't think Lexa was considering betraying anyone until Cage made her a deal.

2. Also, I felt bad for Octavia. Indra had no right to get mad at her. Octavia just wanted to protect her people. In my opinion, Indra should have admired Octavia's bravery to want to stay behind and fight for her people.

3. I liked the Raven and Wick team work.

4. I felt bad for Maya's dad since he was one of the good guys. I felt even sadder for Maya since she doesn't have anymore family.

5. It broke my heart to watch the old couple who were defending Jasper and Maya get shot.

What was everyone else's thoughts about this episode?

They could always have Clarke stage an accident where Lexa gets blown up or where her tribal allies turn on her once her abandonment of them in the village meeting is leaked. That is if AMC proves intractable.

Yeah but if they kill her off-screen would the masses of fans who consider her the best character on the show be satisfied?? They should of done that in the season 2 finale if that's what they intended to do

Well, the original goal is to get Alycia to come back. If she does, then she probably won't die off-screen. If for some reason AMC doesn't allow her to come back, then I'm not so sure what they will do. I know that I would be disappointed if they killed such an awesome, badass character off-screen.

^^ Agreed - I don't even think re-casting could be considered an option now - alycia debnam Carey has made that role her own & a recast would get the writers some really scorn from the viewers - if AMC turn down jason Rothenberg I won't happy :(

Well I read online that it is likely she is going to return, and the first episode of the third season is going to be about the Clexa relationship.

Yeah but the internet will be filled with pure spectulations & guesswork- she hasn't even been confirmed for the third season yet. So it's just a matter of a massive wait to find out anything that might be true

Likely? Bummer. If it was a certainty, I'd have said they already filmed the scenes.

I hope they do at least let us have a bit of closure on this. (Clexa Closure?). I hate it when a show leaves me hanging on some detail like this. Also, they'd be fools to have Lexa "die off screen". That would be better left unanswered, allowing for a character comeback if something happens, like her character on Walking Dead gets killed off (on screen, so no debate on it; it's canon for the show).
